You can add Rob's gameplan vs Izzy but it's easy to say it was the wrong gameplan having seen the result. Looking at the Kelvin fight it wud seem like a good gameplan coz Izzy had trouble handling Kelvin's aggressiveness n how fast Kelvin closed the distance.. Also Izzy didn't look good going backwards, nowhere close to how godly he looked vs Whittaker. So you can chalk it up to Rob's bad gameplan(easy to judge afterwards) but I give all the credit to Izzy's skills, adjustments and fight iq. The places where there were holes in last fight is exactly where he set traps.
@champ1159

Whittaker vs adesanya should be on this list. Storming in recklessly and headhunting the much longer decorated kickboxer who excels in countering seemed like a horrible game plan. Especially with how massive that fight was. Whittaker is a smart fighter though, I think he could make this way more competitive fight in a rematch

I agree, but in Robert's defense, that's what Gastelum did and it worked great

Could be. Gastelum felt more calculated though, in the first 2 rounds at least before they both turned it into an insane brawl. Whittaker was rushing from the start, chin up in the air

I strongly disagree with Gaetjhe failing against Khabib. He got in some good leg kicks and strikes - he was clearly in pain - Khabib just kept charging forward unlike anyone I have seen in any combat sport.

Based on the fact that Rumble implemented literally the worst possible game plan he could have, knowing it was a sure path to defeat & then immediately retired post fight makes me think his drive to compete and love for the sport were waning and he was having a change of heart midfight, seemed like self sabotage

@@DiggyDougSauce94 they hyped her up but she didn't try box with Holly, thats just a silly narrative people came up with after. Holly used great ring craft, cage awareness and footwork to beat Ronda.
