I totally endorse that. Their is a huge difference between movie stars and movie actors. It is not about how good looking they are, although Daniel day-lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio are both, and Brando was a beautiful being and the greatest of them all ❤

James Stewart is my undisputed number one, and Al Pacino and Jack Nickolson might be a bit to high; Charles Laughton, Charlton Heston and Anthony Quinn far to low - but in toto, not so bad....

Great list ...considerably better than most I have seen on RU-vid and I have watched quite a few. I may have changed the order of few listed, ex. Moved up Daniel day lewis and Jack Nicholson, but fantastic nonetheless. Your number one and two is on point. A great many people seem to forego or not understand just the level of impact and influence numbers 1 and 2 had on film and theatre, on acting in general.

Glad to see someone loves this list. It sickens me how overlooked Olivier and Chaplin have become. Olivier isn't necessarily in my top 10 but it's hard to argue he isn't. It also sickens it has 10 dislikes. Fucking RU-vid generation man! People think Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp (who I used to be fan until that fucking drunk presentation he did at the ceremony) are the greatest actors. I love these dudes but they have nothing on Brando, Mifune, Bogart, De Niro, Nicholson, Pacino, Stewart, etc.

Why is not the great Tyrone Power on this list? Maybe because he was the most handsome actor on the screen of all times and nobody forgave him? He meets the characteristics mentioned at the beginning of the video. Among others movies he acted in "Blood and Sand" (1941), "The razor's edge" (1946), "Nightmare alley" (1947), "Abandon ship!" (1957), "Witness for the prosecution" (1957). I think he should have been on this list because he was a talented actor. Thanks so much!

Both De Niro and Brando are amazing actors so I don't mind either one being #1. Neither are my #1. Mine's Toshiro Mifune, which is 12, and I think that's great considering he often gets overlooked because isn't mainstream or/and American. But I make no arguments to all three of them.

This is great fun, but I guess I have to do my own list -- you seem to have been hitting the glue pot: There is no room for the greatest living actor, Christopher Plummer, but Clint Eastwood, a lousy unham, is ahead of Max von Sydow. Vittorio Gassman, the Italian Plummer, is well down, below James Dean, who was rookie of the year and then crashed a car. Dean is unwatchably overwrought today. Dustin Hoffman is ahead of Daniel Day Lewis? And Woody Allen -- Woody fucking Allen? He's no actor.

I would have put Richard Burton in the top 2 (at least); his performance in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf was sublime which should have been rewarded with the Best Actor Oscar. Marlon Brando was a phenomenal actor, whose physical beauty was harmoniously attuned to his artistic talent. Beautiful man!

He has been acting since 1970 and has had legendary movies with rocky and Rambo and is still acting to this day and expendables 3 is coming out in theaters in a couple days. I don't want to be disrespectful but he should be on this list IMO top 10.
