Uh-oh, more games we regret?! Our 2018 edition is up now! Come see what games we regret buying in Year 2! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3X5J7UIb2Dw.html
Guys, guys, you missed the "". He is making fun of tue stupid people that complain about botw not being fun because they chose to watch too much about it before having it, and then on top of it blame nintendo (many people blame nintendo on everything). Seriously the guy that said that about botw deserves a slap in the face, what a puny whinny bitch.
triforce hero WRONG! Far Cry SUCKS ROTTEN TOXIC EGGS JUST LIKE Breath of the Wild, because they are lame super repetitive games. Horizon Zero Dawn RULES! THE ENEMIES ACTUALLY LEARN! P.S., You're no hero you liar.
Earlier, I watched a video where someone was complaining about how they didn't like the Switch because they thought Nintendo's games are just repetitive. However, they thought Call of Duty was a great franchise!
Regrets buying botw because too repetitive and omnipresent and already has seen everything it has to offer. Goes and buys Pokemon Am I the only one who sees how insane that is? I get the reasons for not liking botw but pkmn is hardly the...um...solution to those core problems Lol!!!
Wich kinda shows that often times you just like/dislike something. You may think you know why but really you don't. Kinda off topic but I believe that this happens very frequently to everyone where they simply like or dislike something and fill in the reasons according to that.
I highly regret buying Ultra Moon. Unless you want to do a 100% run... You’ll finish it fast and it’ll be a breeze and right after that you’ll wanna sell it
Those games are the best on the switch. Wow! The games that you would regret buying are sonic forces, arms, yooka-laylee (3d game, not 2d game), WWE2K18, etc.
If they changed the gameplay in splatoon 2 everyone would be pissed. You don't see Call of Duty drastically changing their gameplay, they might a new ability but its all the same run, shoot, trash talk others because pressing buttons makes you hard. People just don't get it with Nintendo.
I feel like no one talks about stardew valley for the switch. I love action and fast paced games so I thought I wouldn't like stardew valley, but I tried anyway and sooner then later I found myself with 115+ hours on it!
Chrispy waffles To quote a Weird All song in the style of They Might Be Giants, "Everything you know is wrong. Black is white, up is down and short is long. Everything you know is wrong. Just forget the words and sing along. All you need to understand is everything you know is wrong!"
Zelda? Splatoon? Really? What shitty opinions if those games aren’t fun to someone, they might as well just throw their switch away because they won’t have any fun with any game🤷♂️😂
That guy who complained about Breath of the Wild is a complete idiot lmfao if he had already seen so much on the game why would he even consider buying it in the first place? Breath of the Wild is the kind game that you need to experience fresh to get the full experience and it will NOT get old, the fact that he watched so many videos on it and that ruined it for him is his fault he can't blame the game for "being repetitive" (which it is easily far from). And I get what you said about getting it late, but I didn't play the game until December and it came out in March. I deliberately avoided every video on the internet about the game for 9 months just so I would make sure I'd enjoy the experience (and that was VERY difficult because I'm a huge nerd for the Zelda franchise) so he can't really complain at all considering he went out of his way to watch all the videos and ended up buying it anyway. I understand him regretting the purchase because nothing was new but saying the game is repetitive is ridiculous
It also depends on the person. I played botw till I got 100% completion... but I haven't raced on all the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks yet, but it's not a waste because my son plays it a few times a week. So, to each, their own.
I just now got the game and I made sure to avoid watching too much of other people playing. I love that I'm so in control of what I can do. Certain games for me I will never get bored of like Sonic, Mario, Kingdom hearts , Bomberman and so on. I feel bad for that person I know how easy it is to get exposed to a game even when you're not trying to ruin it for yourself. >< that's what I'm trying to do with Kingdom Hearts 3. I know I need to get it day 1 because RU-vidrs love to put spoilers in their titles and thumbnails.
I personally had to watch a playthrough of BotW. I was so excited for the game. I knew I couldn't afford to buy it and the trailers made it look so awesome. I stumbled upon ShadyPenquin's playthrough and I got to experience everything through him. I probably would have enjoyed the game more if I had quit watching his playthrough about halfway through. But I still loved it. My only complaint with the game right now is I'm to the point where all I have left to do is collect korok seeds and I've stopped getting any kind of reward for doing so. At least give me some opal/ruby or something for every 10 I bring in.
I didn't have the same problem with breath of the wild because as soon I knew it was out I avoided all content that contained information about the game. I had heard nothing about the game until I bought my own switch in late November. I totally get why it wouldn't seem fun to someone who had watched gameplay or had heard the story, that's why I purposefully avoided it
Yep, finally hopped on the Switch train in December and by that point I had seen nothing about the game. I had no idea what to expect other than hearing from multiple people (including some of my closest friends) that it was absolutely fantastic and breaks the mold for normal Zelda games. I wasn't sure on it at first since I was frankly shit at it and died quite a few times exploring the world and activating all the towers, but it was easier than I thought to avoid spoilers for it.
NidoQuain same and I bought the game in December. I also had a friend that got it on launch, I naturally asked how it was he said “go in blind bro” and put me on my way
How dare you! Botw was a huge step into the Zelda franchise. So yeah it’s repetitive, but it’s so emotional with the story and the characters. So I don’t regret buying it. Botw all the way!!!
I'm just not into Zelda and I'm actually not a fan of open world games. So that said, I didn't buy it. And I don't think anyone should be full of regret because it's a game you should have a good idea of what you're getting. Arms I can understand. Wile I don't regret buying it because it's so unique, I was really surprised how little content there was, not just at launch, but I assumed they were going to be adding a lot more as time went by (like Splatoon).
Snake Pass.... ugh. If there ever was a game specifically designed to make you want to break your controller by beating a snake to death with it, that'll be it.
I played arms at a gaming cafe and the motion controls are great in my opinion, also I've played 200+ hours into splatoon 1 and as soon as i got splatoon 2 there was no lack of content it felt new and exiting
I agree, splatoon 2 has much more new content like, new maps, modes, hair styles, better music etc. Sure it is lacking a couple of good splatoon 1 maps like piranha pit and camp triggerfish but it still has great new content
I find it hard to believe that anyone purchased 1-2 Switch. When I saw it demoed online I knew it was just a tech demo and assumed it was bundled with the console. When I found out that not only was it a full priced game but people were actually buying it my jaw hit the floor.
About splatoon 2 I played the original a lot on Wii u and love 2. Although the game is "being completed after launch" at least we don't have to pay 60 dollars for dlc. So happy we get new stuff every Friday for freeeeee
I can tell a hater from miles away, that dude that said "i regret buying dragon ball, i never watched the show" why did you buy it then ? lmao and second of all what does "not watching the show" have to do with anything? i don't watch attack on titan but the games are good. That's why Dragon ball games sale so well and have been since the 90's. Believe it or not everyone that buys and or plays a Dragon ball game isn't always a Dragon ball fan, Dragon ball is just so damn popular that casual fans or people who aren't even fans, will play the games anyway. My ex girl isn't a "fan" and she is hyped for Dragon ball Fighterz and liked Xenoverse 1 & 2. That dude played himself lmao. I am glad Xenoverse is on the best selling list for nintendo switch after being out so long
I absolutely love arms, I wish more people would get into it. It's very unique and has so many variables. The only thing I hate is everyone online is cheap and just use electric arms
Nothing to regret yet I’ve been very careful since buying affordable space adventures on wiiu. Always read a few reviews and watch RU-vid before a purchase
Don't read game reviews. I guess you could go ahead and watch RU-vid vids though and make judgements feom there but ideally you should review it yourself through your own experience in the game. Reviews are filled of bias and are perpetuated by closeminded reviewers who end up clouding your own judgement, especially with larger corporations.
nayan timla I don't think that is necessarily true, I think if you search different publications you'll find the reviewers who are passionate and talented about writting games journalism. I think the internet has made alot more people have a voice but personally I have publications I trust and fit my tastes. I'm pretty old and I never had the luxury of reading about games when I first started gaming and I bought some stinkers back in the day.
nayan timla totally agree with you.. I never read reviews because like film reviews I always end up liking the film however I do watch videos on the game before I buy it for the simple fact of just to see if I like the look off the game
How to get tired of Botw -Played it for 400 hrs -Got everything like 120 shrines, Quests, Memories/Divine Beast, Armor(Didn't buy any amiibo or anything like that) And Dlc. Edit: Upgrade every piece of armor. Btw haven't played The game in 1 month
Games I regret buying on switch: Minecraft: already bought it 4 times LEGO city: I was bored and wanted something to play and got a shitty port Arms: was curious what Nintendo had to offer with it but it got old in like 10 minutes and was a waste of $60 as a whole. Games I own that I really love: Zelda Binding of Isaac Mario kart 8 Splatoon 2 Mario + rabbids kingdom battle Dragon ball xenoverse 2 Super Mario odyssey
Rose Lalonde I definitely think arms is a good game and has impacted a lot of Nintendo gamers. Just for me it’s not really my cup of tea. And plus I don’t know anyone that wants to play it so, you know. It’s awkward when you have friends that don’t wanna play it.
Bigger worlds but some are so small that it's a shame that there isn't more content in them!!! One of them is the most interesting but Nintendo barely put anything into that "kingdom" if you wanna call it one!!! Hardly any enemies in the game too!!! Still had a lot of fun with it but it was also very disappointing at times especially when we were told that these worlds were gonna be big and some of them aren't that big at all!!! :( BOTW was right to win the GOTY Award!!! :) It was just so much more fun, bigger, more explorative, more exciting and more relaxing!!! :)
I finished BOTW a long time ago and yet still continue to log hours on it. I'm totally addicted and absolutely love the game. The only thing I would've changed was considering that the boss fights were all variations of Ganon with a similar style and design, I would've incorporated some creature battles into the "tests of strength" dungeons. Maybe instead of always giving us the same guardians time after time, how about a dragon, a giant spider, a demon, or even hark back to some of the old games and fight some old school enemies like Dark Link. Yea we had creature fights with Lynels, Thalus's, moldugas, but fighting the same guardians in the shrines got boring, especially if you're trying to get all the shrines.
Christopher Springs No it isn't. You literally just take the game into a shop, hand it over and they give you a bit of money for it. I don't recall that being illegal
who says splatoon 2 is the same as splatoon 1 and i regret buying it . i think most of the people who have the switch doesn't have the wii u and who haven't try splatoon 1 on wii u would like to try it on switch like me i don't have a wii u and i wanted to try splatoon so badly but now i have a switch so i can try it now !!
I hate the guy that said Skyrim got boring. If you play a game over hundreds of hours or more, OF COURSE IT DOESN'T GET BETTER IF YOU BUY IT FOR ANOTHER CONSOLE! Imagine someone thinking an app gets better because they play on another phone, to me it's the same thing.
I never watched anything about Zelda and knew nothing about it other than it was a fully open world Zelda game RPG style. When I played it, I felt like it was brand new and I was discovering everything on my own, at my own pace, and it was all knew and that no one else had seen it. It is an absolutely incredible experience and an amazing game
I regret buying LEGO City Undercover because it is laggy,Boring plot,60 dollars(When I bought it), the game doesn’t look good compared to Breath Of The Wild or Mario Odyssey, their is no encouragement to play the levels again, and long loading times. That was hard earned money wasted on a game that had an opportunity but LEGO didn’t take it and felt like the 3DS port just with a bit faster loading times. When I got Mario Kart and Splatoon 2 I forgot about this game and still haven’t beaten it but right now It is GARBAGE.Don’t buy it or buy it when it is cheaper.Plus you got a LEGO helicopter when it came out but I don’t think they do it.
To be honest I’ve played several Lego games on PS and their a complete waste to pay $60. If you just wait several months those Lego game prices on PS drop like a rock. I’m sure in time they will start dropping on the switch too. I just finished Mario Odyssey and it’s a much better game than Any Lego game. Once you’ve played one Lego game their all basically the same. We just started Zelda and so far it’s a interesting good game too.
It's a whole different game without those trash motion controls. Love how people take an ELEMENT of a game that is shit and then just slather the rest of the game with the feces.
I'm gonna approach this from the opposite side of things. I DON'T regret Sonic Forces I bought it for a laugh on Black Friday for like $21 and expected it to be just as bad as everyone has told me it is but yet I kinda love how campy and silly it is.
kagatoASUKA it mostly gets hate for stupid reasons, "levels are to short" "Ew we get to make are own character?!" " why is classic sonic in this game...." i personally like sonic forces and i think all the hate it gets is stupid
"ARMS" is great, especially since the addition of badges. When I played it briefly with friends on weekends, it didn't propitiate me. When I bought it, around the advent of Lola Pop, I learned how much strategy and variety "ARMS" has. Also, the music! Likewise, "Super Bomberman R" is a much better game now. After three major FREE updates, it feels like a new game.
For me, I never have bought a Zelda game. I'm not too big of a fan of the pace, since my friend let me play a bit of BOTW. I usually like more "faster pace" games, but I do enjoy the lore of Legend of zelda.
im one of the 2 people that have managed to avoid almost every spoiler, from big to small, for zelda botw since release(i watched all the pre-release stuff).
I think I’m the fourth because I had never played a Zelda game before and had no interest but my dad said it got 10/10s everywhere which lead me to buying it and playing it for 180+ hours.
I’m sorry, I’m not gonna be one do those people that are cursing out people in the comments about how you guys are wrong... I do think you’re wrong but I’m not going to go on a huge rant. Honestly I don’t really see why you put botw, Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey on this list but you didn’t put Mariokart 8 Deluxe, basically the same game except free dlc that’s already in the game. I disagree with your list, but thanks for the enjoyable video. Please if you are reading this don’t hate me, I’m just a 13 year old boy that loves Nintendo and that’s all you need to know.
The thing is, you can't sit there and complain about Odyssey for being "too small" or "not like Sunshine or 64" because it's a different game, and a lot of thought and processing went into it. If you just keep doing the same old thing, it gets boring and repetitive. Yeah, some of the moons were ridiculously easy to get, but it's the one's that are hard to obtain with challenges make it worth while. And the thing I love most, is that with cappy, the game gives you the option of doing things the easy or hard way. You can use captures to make it easier, or do it hard style by freaking parkour with your hat friend. This game by far completely obliterates both Sunshine and 64. The camera isn't ass, the sound track is beautiful, and the game just keeps surprising you will all the new features. And don't get me wrong, 64 and Sunshine are all time Mario classics and will always be some of my favorite games, but you can't compare them to Odyssey and try to say that Odyssey is inferior, because that is completely not the case.
i literally saw a walkthrough of the game, 100% walkthrough, two speedruns because i was in a situation that i believed i would never be abble to buy a switch and was in love with the game i thought i would never play. And them i got one and i had all those videos in my memory. The game still surprised me quite a lot of times. it is so fun to play, everything feel so right and you have so much freedom, there is so much to do that even watching every single one of the 999 moons i could only remember like 10 or 20 of them. I was so happy when i got into the new donk festival that i cried like a lil baby. I cant describe what this game is rather than call it a masterpiece. I kinda regret watching all of those videos because i would love to discover every single thing, how to defeat the bosses and stuff, thats why i hope to a sequel. Still my best game experience in a long time for sure.
I Love Arms. one of my favorite new IPs this year. Hope they'll make another one and add a story mode. I regret getting NBA Playgrounds Love all of the rest of my games
Arcenedon yeah, but they already stated that they're done adding anything to the game. They're only going to balance at this point. I'm fine though, I love the game as is, still play it here and there.
Ya, I feel that they could add a career mode where you have to face them multiple times and control your W/L before you can face the champ, and he can beat you your first couple times, cause NO PARTICIPATION TROPHIES!!!
I could easily see regretting botw but i stayed away from anything botw until i got my switch along with botw and some other games in May, i already had a wii u but i wanted it on the switch for portability and i dont waiting a couple months
The problem with Legend of Zelda BOTW is that after you defeat your first divine beast you've experienced the best part of the game. It doesn't get harder; it gets easier and easier as you progress, which means you'll never feel challenged after that. There's nothing but minor puzzles and major exploration left.
About double dipping , I have binding of Isaac on PC and 3ds and I'm still thinking about getting on switch , (because I play my 3ds way less often now that I have a switch) so in considering the triple dip!
Now would be the time to do it if you're going to. They finally gave us the first two extra packs a few weeks back which fixed the game breaking bug (Loki's Horns would not unlock, meaning you couldn't "1,000,000%" it) they introduced with A+ in January and never fixed for the launch version on the Switch even though it was known and fixed on PC by then. (a physical copy of it for the first time ever saw me triple dipping as well lol - screw everything else, TBoI alone was enough reason for me to buy a Switch, especially the physical aspect with the neat little first run bits)
Arms was really cool at first. But it kinda got old mainly because it wasn’t like super smash bros, a game that had lots of diverse characters with diverse moves. Arms was not giving me the same feeling, although it can be fun to play with friends.
Yeah i just bought my nintendo switch like 3 weeks ago and i dont care what these guys say about zelda its amazing the storyline the graphics you just have to solve puzzle true some shrines are hard but its amazing hands down so far the best game and above all you have youtbers to help you sure you know te storyline but your playing along with them amazing
TheMeatballGamer no one cares about how others spell, but what really matters is that he is a fanboy. Seriously, why do every child act like a smartass when it comes to something spelled wrong?
Inside, mario party switch, lego ninjago, Doom 2016, skylink, Nintendo online expansión pack, unspottable, olli olli world, megaman zero/zx legacy collection, happy game, it came from space and ate our brain, bubble bubble 4 friends, ghost of a tale, dungreed, astro rangers, akuto, galaxy champipns TV, unrailed, This were some of them games I probably have put less then 4 hours in all this games and I recommend that if you get any of this games that you should think about it two times since I probably will never touch any of this games since they are just boring or there is a better game with the same concept
I know I’m totally in the minority here, but as of now, I’m regretting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe after having MK8 on Wii U. It feels like there’s no sense of progression since nearly everything is unlocked from the start. I think I’m getting bored of the Mario Kart formula as well.
Totally agree, thinking of selling it and putting the money towards BoTW. I'm a huge a MK fan but I think they needed to at least put in new tracks to make it worth it.
Zake64 mk8 deluxe for the switch was just meant to be a port with all the dlc unlocked, and yeah i agree the formula is getting boring just like in all racing games, but mk8 does introduce new tracks items and even new modes for the battle mode. It just depends what you prefer doing, if you hate battle mode then all you will experience are the new tracks and items, and if you hate racing, alk you will experience are new items and modes
I know what the person who regrets buying LoZ BOTW, because Zelda is repetitive. Dungeons, puzzles, boss fight. But still, they added DLC's, which improved gameplay, (made it more fun) and added a bunch of new aspects. Open world, new enemies/bosses, and armors. The armor part is kind of like OoT, with the tunics and such. Everybody has there own opinion though.
Ballistic Blitz it’s because he was stupid and watched a let’s play of the game before getting it that’s like getting a detailed description of a movie then watching it for the first time
About BotW - if you regretted buying it, it wasn't for you. It's not that you were over exposed to content, it's just a game that's not for you. I could fish for hours and not get bored. But that's because I love the Zelda franchise and have since the early 90's - and I don't care if it's repetitive, because 1) all games are, and 2) I just love being in the Zelda universe so much, it doesn't phase me at all. I've been playing a Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild interchangeably and continue to love and adore those games. Everyone has individual opinions and feelings about the media they consume, if you regret getting it, that's you, it doesn't make the game bad. Also, this video is over for me.
OzJohn yeah on Pace to beat it in a bout 4-5 seems like.but read there's lots post finish so I'll be trying to get 100% of everything like the moons ,like 999:of that shit.
My only complaint about SMO was that it was too short. I finished it in 3 days. I expected it to be more like Galaxy where there were so many levels/worlds/places to the point where you were able to skip a few to shorten the game or avoid levels you didn't like.
Blaz3 Gam3r77 but a game shouldn't have to rely on lots of collectables to get the players to keep playing for longer. They should have more things to look at, more levels.
Zelda was an absolute blast for me for one simple reason. From the day that Zelda was announced, up until the day I had the system and the game in my house, I have readed, watched, posted, liked and followed absolutely ZERO content about it. I had no idea what the game was about, how does it looked, what was the gamepay like. Nothing. I read nothing, I saw nothing, I knew nothing... Just like when I played ocarina of time for the first time back when I was 12 and there was no internet around to spoil things. The main point here is, people are so adctided to content that they just can help theirself. They consume it like no tomorrow because they wanna know everything... And what happens after is frustration.
Puppetmaster286 yes i did. I said if the guy who said he regretted buying Splatoon 2 didnt actually regret it, only had a complaint, and he was the ONLY guy whi did. Why was he in the list. Read closer.
It is. The dominant narrative is coming from people who don't play it, or who just aren't Bomberman fans. And they won't enjoy what makes Bomberman Bomberman.
OrbZ I did have the demo actually, on the Wii u, it was very fun and I had thought, if I bought the full game, there would be so many things to do. Wrong..To me , Pokken was really good and the gameplay Is phenomenal. However , after a few days, the game felt really really repetitive, there wasn't much to do. I have never felt that way with the demo. I have the game myself, I can tell you that if you strongly enjoy games like Tekken, street fighter, mortal Kombat etc, and don't mind repetition, this game could be for you. P.s. online mode is very enjoyable. , P.S.S . Don't take the word repetition lightly, it's that serious. And P.sss. there kinda is a story but if you're getting the game, I wouldn't want to spoil the beans.and I like the box art for the switch version.
Producer JTH I think I'll get it and see for myself, but I think the thing that will keep me interested is actually getting good at the game, and individual characters. And its not a game I think I will bash on and then get bored on instantly, I feel like its a game I could hop on every now and then and say "let's have a few games", then stop, especially if I'm out on a trip or something like that. It just looks like a really fun game, I love pokemon and I've always wanted to play a pokemon game where you fight 1 on 1 in a style like the actual show, not turn based. Again, I'll see.
OrbZ you definitely should get the game yourself if you like Pokemon and it's not turn based. And this game is definitely playable on the go. And yes, skill is needed to be good at this game, which was one of reasons I liked that it's not just a button masher, you need to learn the button combos. Again I encourage you to get Pokken, it's not a bad game, it's a really really good game, just wasn't for me, I guess I wasn't good at it 😂😂😂
About the whole debate about portable classics, let's get a Mario Maker sequel. I loved the Wii U version, and just IMAGINE how good a switch sequel would be. If they added more course elements like slopes and a desert/snow/jungle theme, it would be perfect. Especially with the portability of the switch and the online functionality.
People say they regret buying Mario Odyssey and Zelda Botw but no one mentioned that horrible Mario + Minio- I mean, Rabbids game? That game is horrible, I regret so much buying the digital version of it. Those rabbids were so annoying that was hard to play, also rhe gameplay was very boring, the map exploration was SUPER boring, the battles were sometimes too hard, or too easy... I don't even know what to say, but I hated that game. Luigi dab also made me hate even more.
