Vivien Leigh to me, because her face was not only perfectly beautiful but also soft and sweet. Of all the black haired beauties. Leigh hands down no. 1. Monroe most beautiful blond. O'Hara no. 1 redhead. and Hayworth is the no 1 brunette.

These women are beautiful, in their own way, for the most part. But when it comes to raw sex appeal and beauty, my nod goes to the Lana Turner. I know most people here don't agree with that. But the pure and classical beauties like Kelly and Lamarr were not sexy to me. They were technically great looking, but they lacked sex appeal for me. Rita Hayworth was beautiful and sexy as well. Liz Taylor was beautiful and sometimes sexy.

If we go to the next generation, I would start with Bardot; Natalie Wood; Ann Frances; Jane Fonda as a start. 80s - 90s I would start with Sherilynn Fenn, Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer, 2000s (early) Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes, Penelope Cruz, Anegelina Jole, Jane March. 210 to now, I would have to give it some thought, Jessica Alba and whoever??

I have noticed a lot of people comparing Ava Gardner and Liz Taylor on several videos so.. PAY attention pleease, Liz was beautiful gorgeous eyes but face wise Ava had it more for me, I don't know..Ava's forehead is well proportioned unlike Liz, Ava's eyes had a better shape for me and very smoldering,ok I agree both of them had stunning eyes but Liz had big nostrils yet Ava's nose was perfect even her profile was beautiful she had lovely full lips and her body was just the bomb. For me Ava is by far the winner besides Liz's beauty is more like a doll yet Ava 's is intriguing. Grace was perfect too but more in a wasp, ethereal kind of way Ava just had "it" she has portrayed many ethnicities during her career which is outstanding for me

This is the first time, that someone got it right !! I must say that Bacall was not to me, a candidate at all. Vivien Leigh of course made GWTW the biggest money maker ever filmed. Her green eyes, with that hair, was fantastic.

Very good list overall! However I don't know why so many people think Garbo and Dietrich were so beautiful. Maybe it's just my taste. They were good actors, but I don't see them as being good looking. Hedy Lamarr was the most beautiful in that time period in my opinion. I would say Ginger Rogers and Fay Wray deserve a strong mention too. In the silent film period, I like Mary Pickford. :)

Ingrid Bergman wow compared to all the rest she was such a natural beauty...she didn't wear a whole lot of makeup or do her hair in such a way that looks outdated today, she was such a breathtaking beauty stands out compared to all the rest to me and Judy Garland likewise a simple beauty like Ingrid not overly done with the fake blonde hair etc.
