The 15" Woofer Challenge - 3 Brands 3 teams, best box wins BIG (VIDEO 1 of 2)

The video was running long so i decided to do it in 2 parts. Watch part 2 to see who wins! More importantly, see what they won!
First place winning team gets to choose a prize behind 2 of 3 "curtains"
one is big, one is pretty good, and one is.....well you dont want that curtain.
2nd place gets the test woofers to take home
3rd place gets their box destroyed with a huge sledghammer by the winning team

This is my first time doing this so excuse the lack of professionalism in my broadcast. This is a lot of work to put together but it was fun to do! We will be doing this again!

@BoseATI they are similar woofers as far as specs....and its a game of chance, thats why they all picked a mystery sub behind 1,2, or 3. It makes a lot of sense to me.

this is pretty cool and I like how you kept the woofers hidden so they cant see what there woofer is but they are similar in spec so it all comes down to the box

I think I would actually prefer the Kicker in this contest. Their SQ is something to be desired but they do get stupid loud. Good contest Meade.

@FiveOhProductions hahah well they sent in the woofers for free - so i figured i would hook them up with some plugs :) i ended up giving the woofers to the 2nd place team.....so everyone was happy, except third place, which got their box destroyed with a sledghammer, by the winner lol! it was fun!

@christopay i made a post about it on FB and my site.....they are being built on Saturday and shipped next monday morning. My lead engineer got sent to China for his reg. job and wont be home till the 5th. The site does say ESTIMATED shipping on the 1st......i feel bad but i have no control over it. They are DEFINITELY in the works and if you bought one, no worries its on the way soon!

The Rockford should take it in this contest (My Opinion), that's if they build the box right!

I doubt they all have the same coil options but thats would be ok with me. I would still take the CVR over RF they get loud as hell from small sealed boxes with very little impedance rise. CVR could have less impedance rise than the RF wired at 1ohm @45hz if the ported design is even a little off. CVR sealed from the trunk FTW, IMO. it will be interesting to see what they came up with.

I like all three of those companies. Can't wait to see more videos of this. I almost had a pair of RF T1s used off craiglist. Were in great shape but the guy sold em before i could come and see him. =( Haha oh well. Seen the 12" crvs in action in a sealed box and they beat hard! So, im sure they'd pound even hard in a ported. Also, i've not seen that 15" cadence sub on audiosavings. Im looking for some new subs and I like cadence but didn't want their orange ones.

@thazeekster608 to me, someone who does this for a living, as a career, and has years in that career - can be called a pro (if worthy of the title) ...... just because someone installs a system, even a big one, it doesnt make them a pro. Im not even a pro.....the REAL pro's do this every day, turning out car after car after car and they know everything about almost every car. We are car audio enthusiasts with digital camera's, youtube channels, and websites.....having FUN in this HOBBY.
