This should have been found before the update went out but chasing electrical problems is about as painful as it gets. I can only suggest that speaking directly with the designer's home office, in clear english is something to be grateful for. They will find the issue and fix it or tell you how to avoid it ... ie I believe that they have a new devise coming out that will do all the load balancing for ANY brand solar system and might be an investment that you should look at.

A/C is Lennox 24 SEER, I think 3.5 ton, with the "Soft Start," obscenely expensive to install when I was building the house, but mini-splits hadn't come of age yet. It ran the A/C, the hybrid water heater (hybrid mode only), two refrigerators, the dishwasher, microwave, some lights and TV, and I charged my 2011 Nissan LEAF L1@120V, obviously not everything at the same time though, and there were still times where I was having to shut down strings because the battery was almost 100% charged. Now this was in September, not July or August, in Florida, so A/C usage was slightly less. I enjoyed watching my one rotten neighbor desperately struggling with a junky generator, until he bought a new one, used it 24/7 for three days, spent two hours cleaning it, and (99% probability but I didn't actually witness) returned it, but that's another story.

I have 8 kw of solar up. i know what it costs and what it can do. its nice to have but the cost is still ridiculous,and your not self sufficient when you rely on china made electronics and possibly batteries you can't get if the world goes to hell. The only reason power bills keep going up is this the current criminal regime trying to stop fossil fuels and still pushing electric car nonsense which is neither green,renewable or saves fossil fuel. 90% of solar is made in china and boated here on ships burning bunkerfuel.You are making yourself totally reliant on chinese electronics is all you are doing. My truck is flex fuel,just takes a still to make ethanol

A gasoline substitute can be made by a wood gasification unit. Can you make new solar panels? How about re-spinning a motor. You can also smelt copper right, what fuel will you use? I ask, what is the quality of life you want while being "off the grid?"

@Defective Degenerate Aside from limited wireless internet access through several repeaters. I live off grid, I understand the importance of power generation. But I refuse to accept this technology when countless Americans have been swindled out of tax dollars basically purchasing "renewables" for others. This happens in the way of rebates, incentives, tax cuts whatever you want to call it, follow the money. I argue that 500 gallons or so of lp underground tanks hidden from view, with a quality built in generator would be a far better option if we are only talking 15k watts Peak. Add whatever battery bank and good to go no matter the weather or conditions. Solar will be a easy target for endless bad people if things go south.

It's a 15,000 watt inverter with 32 450+ watt panels = yes. Although he needs a lot more batteries to make it past 2 hours when the solar is not available . 🙃

Yes, 🤪 roflmao, we can. I do it every day. Although my two 12K’s, 48 panels/20.6kW and 143kWh are a tad better.

Great video. So did you need to upgrade to 400 amp to feed the 2 - 200 amp services ?
@practicalpreppers7798
@practicalpreppers7798 Год назад
nope. Most folks don't get close to needing 200 amps so we retired the shop meter and fed everything from the 200 amp meter on the house. And now the 15k can feed everywhere.

My 2 chinese inverter is a better bargain than this over priced junk. Paid 2500 total vs what 9k for this lol.

I bought 2 12K’s for home and 2 EG46500ex’s for shop. I’ll let you know in 10 years how they both hold up.😂
