I mean this in literally the kindest way, but this guy is the most Chad guy to ever teach math and honestly, it's amazing. The way he talks like he's a frat guy you met at a party makes the formulas sound so easy which is so helpful for someone who's as bad at math and memorizing as I am. Thanks for making me less stressed while studying my guy, I appreciate it.
590--->790!!! I watched your SAT math videos, practiced, and got a 200 POINT math increase and a NEAR PERFECT MATH SCORE! The formulas were so helpful! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
How long did it take you to improve? (a week, a month, a day) I take the SAT next month and i’m so scared, I keep taking the practice test and i keep staying in the 840/860 zone overall and i’m nervous
@@parisstevens5696 Hi Paris! Don't worry about it! I am sure that you will do great! The SAT is like any other test where, if you study right and have good materials, you can get the score you want. To be honest, I only studied 30 to 60 hours for the test (about the average work week). My study schedule was somewhat random over the summer and, obviously, I crammed quite a bit the week before the test. My overall test score improved by 290 points. The biggest factor in doing well on the test is not how much you study. It is how you study. If you have the time I suggest you watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IlU-zDU6aQ0.html. Reading speed/comprehension is a big deal, too. I would suggest you take a few speed reading tests then dive into the real SAT practice tests. www.freereadingtest.com/. Push yourself to get at least 200 words per minute. And get used to those reading questions! 75% of the test is rules! If you can MASTER THE RULES, you can master the test. This is where Huzefa was helpful for me. There are some good videos out there for SAT grammar, too. The biggest thing is to take a bunch of practice tests. I would suggest that you don't do the whole test too often. Just focus on one part of the test one day, master that, then switch to another part of the test the next day. A really good recourse for practice tests is www.cracksat.net/sat/. I hope that this is helpful, Paris. You can do this! God bless, Caleb.
@@parisstevens5696 Here is an email I sent to a friend about a month ago. I thought it might be helpful if I share it: "Here are some SAT tips that really helped me. Most of it is just spending time taking practice tests and figuring out why you got questions wrong. Where I got most of my practice tests: www.cracksat.net/sat/ (during your last week of study, take the official practice tests) Reading: A lot of the reading section had to do with reading speed and getting to know the question types on the test. I would recommend watching the videos, using the reading speed tester, and practicing with these sample tests. Videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xiTK523Ot5U.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hHdF4ULiQcM.html Speed test: www.freereadingtest.com/ Writing: Knowing how to read quickly and the simple grammar rules are the most valuable in this section. (Affect is the Action). Until you end up having extra time at the end, I would focus on just improving your speed. Once you are fast enough, start looking into the grammar rules. I think ACT correlates pretty well with SAT on this part of the test, so I would look at what youtubers say about ACT grammar rules as well as SAT. To be honest, I didn't study for this section a ton, so you might find a better way to study. Videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9ADJW-52yck.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1VBsWYKxDmo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tBGS1DHZzVov.html=wfDCfywt79g ru-vid.com/show-UCC7F_3MMCQKSp7QvD-C9xbw Math: Unless you have great mental math already, I would practice mostly the no calculator section before moving on to the calculator section because almost all of the topics in the no calculator section are covered in the calculator section. Know the rules to the test. I really like scalar learning's videos because he lays out all of the topics in the math section very plainly: Scalar learning: ru-vid.com/show-UCa5js1ov-Nu7i4SLDCNgMxw Essay: I don't know if you are doing the essay, but this video was helpful to me: Video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y4B0sSuc4ng.html Know you rules! Know how to solve the problems! Take those practice tests! You can do it!"
@@crystallunaespinoza8378 not good. The state border is closed to just about anyone. I was able to change the date to next month, but I'll have to travel over 1000 kms. I'm disappointed, angry, and this close to leaving this country (illegally if I have to). But I still have to take the test. I've been getting over 1300 on practice tests, but I want over 1400, eventually. I'll let u know in a month lol
I got 6 days let’s get it!!! I got 630 on PSAT math and 670 on my most recent full length practice test math, I’m shooting for 700 which might be intense but you’re so so helpful 😅
My question was, do you ever have to use arithmetic sequence or geometric sequence in the sat because I have never seen such a question. Can you send me a sample question so that I can try it out, Thanks!
Yes I have seen them. Not super often, but they pop up, and when they do, they are much easier with the formula. I just did one yesterday for an ACT live stream. Granted, that's ACT math, but similar problems have appeared on the SAT.
@@ScalarLearning I want to ask, but it IS possible to do them without the formula right? because I remember having a question like that but I think I did it without the formula.
Tommorow is the SAT, thank you for your videos, I know this sounds cringey, but I'm watching a lot of your videos in prep, and I've subbed to this person, he's actually pretty good.
I've never felt the need to comment on someone's RU-vid channel before, but your revision tips, breakdowns and formula videos are the best there is, thank you so much for what you are doing, I feel so much more confident going into my test!
Taking the test in 6 days. Not very confident in my ability in the math section. Been studying for a month and haven’t gotten over 550. Hopefully ill do good on the english section so that i can repeat the test next year and do better on math. You’re videos are helping alot and hopefully ill get my favorable score
@@ScalarLearning hey! I did the test and i feel like i did really bad. English writing section messed me up. Im still trying to figure out if SAT is important for the colleges im aiming for in Canada.
Scalar Learning it was pretty good. Some questions on math I weren’t confident about but I was trying to focus on the English section anyway to raise it above 700. After bettering English I’ll go try hard for the 800 math
This is a good sat tips video, but for the formulas that included coordinates, like the slope of a line formula and the distance formula, it's actually x2-x1 and y2-y1, not the other way around.
Thank you for the video! Now I realize the math portion will be really easy and will only include the formulas I learned in sixth grade. Going to destroy the SAT math portion!
I have taken the Test multiple times and I have never seen Arithmetic/Geometric Sequence in any of them, I wonder if they took it out at some point, since it is not even on the "SAT" page on Khan Academy. Great video by the way
Really appreciate the help man. I just have a question for the first slope formula; isn't it supposed to be (y2 - y1) / (x2 -x1)? Thats what I've learned so just wanted to clear it up.
Dude I really appreciate your videos particularly THIS video helps a lot, but I know I’m fucked in this test, cuz I’m REALLY bad with word problems in general
hii ! do you have any videos that have examples of each of these essential formulas and where they are applied? i have the formulas down but if you have a video that has the questions these formulas apply to, that’d be helpful too. thank you !!
@@ScalarLearning our results got delayed because the exam was leaked so I'm still waiting :( update: I got a 1470!!!! thank you so much I couldn't have done it without you!
I think you made a mistake in formula of exponential growth. It would be true if you made it like r/100. Am i right? But overall that video was so beneficial for me.😁😁
@@ScalarLearning I think it went good! I didn't have as much trouble on the math sections as I thought I would, and your video helped. There was a question about the length of the arc on the test, and thankfully I had remembered the formula from your video! The reading section were run-of-the-mill, and the essay was pretty easy. It's definitely better to take the SAT twice, that way you can be more confident the second time around. ( It helped me! )
Hi,there ! Thank you for your video ! Can anybody tell me what does the letter “a” mean in the formula for the exponential growth y=a(1+-)^t Thanks in advance!
I want to take the SAT Subject Tests for both Math 2 and Chemistry in October. I'm contemplating between Princeton Review and Barron's for prep books. Any advice? Thanks, appreciate all you do.
How do you know when to use it like will the questions tell you for some of these like the distance formula for example, I don't if i have like a word problem and graph im going to just know which to use.
