I'm so intrigued to know if the Blue Book of Nebo would be as emotional for me if I don't have any kids. I'm considering picking it up just to see.

I don't think we talk about Kayla's speed in reading enough (except under every video and she made a whole vlog about speed reading lol). As a long time viewer i am used to it, but sometimes I talk about her to my friends and say something crazy like she has read 130 books in 6 months 💀 and im gagged.

@@zuzkamala1240she also mentions how she listens to audiobooks on 2x (or more) speed, so that helps.

I´m so fully with you on Tidal Creatures and The Alchemical Journey´s series. I almost feel like I´m gaslighting myself into believing I love this series, because of how deeply I loved Middlegame, but if I´m completely honest, the campy vibe of the second and third book just don´t work for me. Everytime it calls back to Middlegame I *want* to be happy to see my favourite characters back, but it only ends up as a disappointing reminder of the later books don't live up.

If you liked the book of nebo I really wonder if you would like the leftovers by Tom Perrotta! It's one of my favorite shows of all time and I'm currently halfway through the book and I'm loving it just as much. It's one of those sci-fi dystopian books that focuses a lot on grief and the impact it has on the characters and their lives and some of it is left unexplained. I feel like for fans of I who have never known men or station eleven or the OA would really like it. I'm definitely going to check out the book of nebo!

have you organized by what would be the best movie? I just read Floating Hotel and I think it would be such a great movie/show have you done books organized by your dream life? like the ones you would love to be your life to the ones you would least like… more mundane - by price? I’ve been shocked by some new book prices lately 😅

I finished Greta & Valdin yesterday! I guess I'll see how I feel in a few weeks, but I found it to be a very tender and charming book. It won't change anyone's life and it mostly made me feel happy. Unfortunately, the books that tend to stick with me are the ones that are the most shocking or emotionally devastating and this certainly did not do that. I gave it 4.5, but I can see it going down to 4.

I read greta and valdin in may.. It's true this book made me laugh and also I like the cover. there is nothing much in this book except a bunch of people in family having issues with different kind of things but I love the sibling dynamics. I had a good time with that book.

That pink Pink Floyd shirt is AMAZING! Do you (or anyone) know where I can find it? My well-loved Dark Side of the Moon shirt that I got at a thrift store in the late 90s is disintegrating and I can't stop wearing it. I haven't read The Employees yet but the other cover with the black ink dripping down from the water container is striking -- curious if that one is more/less accurate.

It is so rare that I read a book before you - let alone 6! Go me! Glad you liked the employees! If you are interested in another weird danish book you might like to check out the newly translated 11% by Maren Uthaug: a utopian/dystopian where women have taken power. Only 11% of the population is men, and these few men are kept in re-procreation centers.

I am a die hard Seanan Mcguire fan, and I honestly didn't love Middlegame. Seasonal Fears and Tidal Creatures though, I loved dearly. Also the alchemical journeys is going to be five books!
