My Moms Cousin had one of these, a 6 widow Sedan DeVille , came out of El Paso Tx, she had married this guy from there he liked Cadillacs and was a crop duster and he went down in a plane about 1963-64 and she had this late model black Caddy a 6 year old and a German Shepard and she came back to family in California in this big Cadillac, I was a kid but still remember this car
Im a Caddy guy , i love these old girls , she sounds great , with a little more tlc she will really be a great car . Cadillac is all i drive , i own 2 Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams , a 94 and a 96 .
You're doing God's work, my friend. These old girls need someone outside of trailer queens and stubborn modernists to love'em. Best of luck, may she turn out to be one hell of a girl once she's restored to her old glory
I love these cars, I had a '64 De Ville convertible, a '64 six window De Ville, a '66 Fleetwood Brougham, and a '79 Fleetwood Brougham. I'd love a '60, glad yours is coming around so well.
My father had a 60 , back in the late 60s. Beautiful vehicle. Hopefully I will be able to pick up an older one , and start restoring it. Thanks for the video enjoyed it
Back in the early 70's I had a 1960 Fleetwood with air ride - could drive it from OKC to Houston in 5 hours - midnight to 5 AM - these were made before the accountants & the government screwed GM to the wall - we don't understand what we have lost.
🎶🎸🎸🎸🎤 now crank up some Bob Seger get out of Denver.. 🎵 I still remember it was autumn and the moon was shining.. our 60 Cadillac was roaring through Nebraska whining.. doing a hundred and twenty man the fields was bending over... heading out for the mountains knowing we was traveling further... all our fires was blazing and the wheels was spinning turnin turnin🎵
My father in law had a 63 olds 98, like yours, and had the same booster, which was shot. I ended up modding a 90’s chevy truck booster to fit- bolted up ok, had to shorten the pushrod some. It had very good stopping power afterwards. Only a minor ding was needed to the inner fender in order to install it. I haven't worked on that vintage cadillac, but perhaps the firewall is similar and it would work out.
I have a 60 coupe deville I will tyr doe the same thing But i got a 390 from 63 so it is little bit different Distributor is at front of block My car is more rusted than yours
