The 1961 reissue Gary Moore fiesta red Stratocaster & how I acquired it 

Gary could cut it at all levels...metal, rock , blues...great song writer aswell.....Out in the fields solo is still up there as a top solo....flawless execution.

I was born here in the states, but "ouh pateras mou", my father was from Thessaloniki "ke ouh popous mou" my grandfather on my mother's side was from Corinthi... I'm so very proud of you my brother! I was in a band in the 80's and played up and down both the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and the Strip here in Vegas. We got REALLY close to a record deal when Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, etc... hit and the doors of the record industry SLAMMED shut in our "hair band" faces... I love your playing my friend, but what I REALLY LOVE is your attitude! You never talk down to your fans and you never put yourself above anyone else! You also acknowledge your peers and give prop when props are due. You're a rare bird in this business "pedaiki mou"! Lol... That's your Greek heritage coming through. We're a proud people, but not a braggadocious people. "Live and let live" is the Greek way, and I'm very proud of that in our people! You're a hero to many around the world 🌎, but especially to the Greeks! Your talent is God given my friend and I love your solo work as well! That is a beautiful guitar, it couldn't be in better hands. I was blessed to have a quick play on Gary's white single pickup Charvel back in the 80s, a moment I will never forget.

Greatness, your love of Gary made you want this guitar. There is no cooler color for a Strat and these were meticulously made in the Custom shop and limited numbers for fans of Gary. Wonderful playing and that guitar is quite special. You have one of the coolest Strats ever made and quite deserving as you are a fantastic player!

OMG Gus this hurts me.... Not because you have one (I'm happy for you and you deserve this rare guitar)..The reason I said this is because the first electric guitar I ever bought was way back in the summer of 1974 in North Carolina when I was only 15 yrs old from an elderly man and it was a used candy apple red Fender Strat!! It was a 60 something model and would be so rare now! I was first starting learning bar chords at that point playing Black Sabbath songs! Unfortunately as I got into my own heavy metal garage bands in East Tennessee I traded the Strat in on some other electric guitars that were pretty good guitars but not a rare Strat!! I had no clue what rarity I had!! I wish I never got rid of it!! Ohh well, it happened and life goes on.. I really enjoyed this great video Gus!! Please keep them coming !!!

Sweet guitar! Gary was always one of my favorite players. I'm lucky enough to have 2 signature Gary Moore Les Paul's, a 2001 and 2002, one of each of the 2 years they were made. The 01 is a little angrier sounding than the 02 but I love em' both. Rock on for Gary!!!

One of these made it to Scotland I was told to a girl who was a huge GM fan . I wonder who has the original Strat now ? Nobody played with the fire that Gary did , a huge loss but I’m glad I saw him with Thin Lizzy and solo quite a few times .

Gary was an amazing guitarist

People are allowed to be envious over this guitar, that's natural but you can't begrudge him the guitar, his talent put him in the position to have the opportunity to own it. A lot of people are "outraged" because Kirk hammett has Gary's "Greeny" Les Paul which is ridiculous. Kirk is a guitar player who has earned enough money from playing guitar to be able to afford Greeny...... end of story

Fiesta Red is the greatest guitar color ever. I've got an American Vintage Reissue Custom Shop in Fiesta and it's based on a 61. It has the tiniest neck I have ever felt on a Strat and it is absolutely glorious. I wish it had the faded shade like Gary's. There's a few vids on my channel of it for anyone that wants to see it. I absolutely adore that guitar and would take it with me to a desert island.

Gus you need an Ibanez RS1000. That was Gary Moore’s Ibanez model. I have one & it’s killer! Paul Gilbert has one that I see quite a bit on his Instagram.

I love that era of the stratocasters with the slab rosewood board and the mid 60s pups. I now own quite a few stratocasters from a 54 Eric Johnson signature story teller Virginia made of sassafras to my surf green with matching headstock strat. Great guitars.

Hi Gus. That was a well said story of how you acquired the Reissued 1961 Gary Moore Fiesta Red Stratocaster Guitar and it really does look cool. I think you're a great multitracker recorder and your instrumental guitar songs are superb as well as amazing in my opinion. I love your instrumental guitar songs and I'm working on one of my own. I'm not ready to perform it yet, but I might master it in 3 or maybe 6 months from now. I've practiced 7 modes of the G Major Scale and also 5 shapes of the A and E Pentatonic Minor Scales. I practiced those scales over and over again so that I know where the notes are and I've played the note G (not including the open G string) in 9 different places across the guitar neck. I'm about to become a Neoclassical guitarist (which is my most top favorite metal subgenre) because of all the other guitarists that have inspired me (including you Gus) to become one and I'm really excited. Have a great time with the rest of your summer and rock on dude. P.S. I know this is a big paragraph, but I just had to tell you a few things that came to my mind, so that I could tell you what I've been doing and what I'm about to become in 3 or 6 months from now

Aloha! There's something about a '61 Strat. Been several other player that used them.

John Cruz was sacked by Fender a couple of years ago. He posted a 'funny' meme on Facebook and some people found it offensive and got him cancelled. I'm not sure what the meme was. But he was a sought after masterbuilder at Fender, I'd imagine his builds will be sought after now as well.

Single coil, 2nd to none tone. Gus, Schon alike know strats are ones to have. Leo designed very desireble patented contoured, light weight, balanced guitar, Floyd adapts to strats like no other.
