If they were strumming the guitars and not know what they were doing, the drum beat wouldnt work as well, so its amazing how it all works together so cleanly, not hard, just heads screwed on
yeah buddy - 3:13 that hell fuckin groove. So inventive too. I have changed ways I time simple tom fills when I play drums solely because of this video and the one other time he does it on recorded video I saw on youtube.
Yea for sure. They’re all super, but man he is so pocket. I’m a guitarist and I love their riffs and bass lines, but George is just so clean and tasteful with his stuff 👌🏻
feel like ive been waiting around for years for a band with this, ive loved other music as well........ but every riff and every bassline and every drumbeat in these songs gets me.
OMG did I find it? The recording that Matty Healy mentioned in his latest interview with Zane Lowe? their first big show playing in Manchester? I remember hearing Chocolate on the radio in 2013 all the way in Wisconsin and then finding their music video for this song and falling in love. I've been a big fan ever since, and I would cry if I could have an experience like this, seeing them in the beginning
man they’ve made it so far. from people laying down on the stage of the bar to selling out arenas and headlining festivals like glastonbury and coachella. damn i need to get to this level of their beginning
I listened for you, and that is just how his voice sounds when it's strained on higher notes yet not breaking. Most likely, it has parallel bus reverb and/or chorus. But what your asking is something I struggled with for years with Oasis trying to find out what FX made Liam's (singer of Oasis) voice so unique. It's singing technique, timbre, gain staging, and MAYBE some bus FX that only have 4% to do with his voice. This is a pretty simple, and dry dead-cave-like venue recording, too.
At this point in this of their career George held this shit together. If it wasn’t for him being such a tight drummer the band would sound like shit here, the rest of the guys are sloppy af.
