Truly sad that in those times prescription opioids were considered not being addicted being that Drs were prescribing pills especially in the celebrity circles and I myself never dabbled in drugs grew up figure skating from age 4 competing, traveling, and winning junior Olympics twice however during those years in those days our team sports Dr would give us opioids like candy and cortisone lidocaine injections in our backs and knees constantly to numb and mask the injuries and pain yet when the opioid epidemic hit and Drs and big pharma pulled out quickly to cover their own ass that's when Americans realized Drs created the epidemics yet we're cut off instantly and sick from opioid withdrawal which quickly created a huge street drug wave and honestly ppl were scrambling to find opioids and Dr shopping many will never know the excruciating pain of opioid withdrawal , you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy. Many prob don't either remember or know that at the height of dail up internet I believe around "04"ish the laws were evasive and you could skirt the laws by ordering drugs/opioids online only through Florida due to a loophole to where you paid $275 and got 180 pills monthly opioids/oxycodone and they'd FedEx the package to your door but once the Florida house of reps caught wind they quickly shut that down making internet Dr visits illegal so once again ppl were scurrying to find help luckily for myself I found a methadone clinic which honestly many will argue isn't a solution it's just temporary but at least you're not sick dying of withdrawal.. But sadly not everyone gets help and if you're A-list celebrity as Michael Jackson clearly was he began getting cosmetic surgery for the loads of pain pills and Drs until he couldn't get anything else cosmetically done and eventually found Dr Murray whom exchanged his ethics and morals as a Dr for money to give into anything Michael needed and I do believe he felt bad however it killed him. I've had four knee surgeries and each time I couldn't wait only because I wanted that rush from anesthesia and knowing I'd have months worth of pain pills as well and Michael s tolerance was sky high up there to where only anesthesia propafal would stop the pain which is the anesthesia drug that puts you to sleep for surgery and now knowing Murray gave him this sixty nights straight is just insane and sad. Sadly poor Michael's family should have gotten him the help he needed, someone should've gotten him into treatment and on withdrawal medications ASAP he definitely could afford it unlike the average person they couldn't afford to get into live in residential treatment centers so yes he should've definitely been in an live in drug treatment center. He'd most likely be alive today and sober.
