Fun fact: It’s closer to 7 years since it released in December 2023 while 2.1 released in January 2017. It took 83 months.

Okay, but can we talk how good the thumbnail is? It’s of course the lobotomy meme, but it’s not just photoshopped, it’s actually art. Shoutout to Voxicat for making these amazing artistic masterpieces!

It’s fun to see the community so explosive

My thought is that the lobotomy levels are the honeymoon phase of the community, a meme that will go away as more elaborate levels come out

I think the reason why Swing hasn't popped off as well as expected is because it's already based on Ball's dual mode, just that you can do it with 2 player mode enabled. It's got a niche reason to exist for most demons

I was surprised Robtop didn’t just rename the update to version 3.0 because Geometry Dash is truly a whole different game now.

At first I thought the exact same things about the copyright and Nintendo stuff...but another video taught me that every rated level is endorsed by RobTop and he has the permission for the copyrighted music on them (what he didn't have with the art from god eater and Woodkid) so if I go from that...I'd expect RobTop to actually have permission to use Nintendo's content or other franchises and that would honestly be a genius move. I think all of those references are great...I mean, doom swingcopter, portal gun ship (maybe the elephant cube is inspired by "this is the only level"?) Etc etc...i really love these references.

2.2 is very crazy I was hoping to end of 2.1 with a rate level which would have led to plenty of likes finishing the 50 likes steam achievement completing all steam achievements but when I sent my level to a mod they said about sending it and they forgot 💀💀💀💀 oh well I could always start a new level. Also let's prey we don't get another God eater situation that would be bad! can't wait for the year 3079 when 2.3 comes out.

I guess the icons count as fair use, in this case.

i absolutly love the swing. it is a bit hard to work out but after that you could make very hard gameplay with like 10 saws.

I think the problem with 2.2 rn is really just the slope physics. I really, really hope that rob either fixes them or at least has 2.1 and older levels run on a legacy mode

Such a beautiful thumbnail, quite magnificent and unique in it's own powerful ways.

As a veteran platformer I am definitely switching my demon hunting to platformer levels. It is quite shocking to think I can beat something like "I Wanna Be The Guy" while I struggle to beat a regular GD Hard Demon (still haven't) or in some cases Easy Demons or Medium Demons. I have yet to beat HeLL by Serponge, and that isn't even considered a Hard Demon by RobTop apparently. You could make the argument that the community isn't used to regular platformer levels, and I get that. I also get that I will milk the heck out of them orbs and moons while they catch on >:D

I'm literally watching the community in horror while also staring at the - Gravity Trigger - Time Warp Trigger - Literally all effects - Screen triggers - Swingcopter And so on. Just imagine a straight swingcopter fly with random gravity, ×4 times speed and time wrap trigger on max (2.00), screen rotate trigger being abused as heck and invert and glitch triggers set to 999 strength-

One of my favorite parts of 2.2 is the new robot animations. My favorite gamemode is also the robot (unbiased) and these animations are just too much
