fantastic man! i have a 2023 model y and just hit 57k miles. Hoping I can get 500k miles with the original battery and motor.

The only downside of the model 3 and y is the seat comfort. Otherwise, best car ever. Mine is 2 years old and is still running like brand new (she has over 80k )

Yeah, I am really looking forward to the ventilated seats of the future.

Nice video, this definitely eases my mind regarding battery degradation. My only other concern is living in a cold environment here in Minnesota.

Oh, most recently, Colorado here. DEFINITELY 0 concern in that regard.

i have a 2021 MYP that's getting ready to hit 100K. replaced tires once, 5 jugs of bug juice, and a set of wipers.

I would sure hope so. ….should probably consider getting some new tires

Did you replace 12v battery?
@jsasu.3
@jsasu.3 10 дней назад
@@TeslaCamNYC haha. Funny u ask. Last week I had trouble getting the app to work and discovered that the battery had died. I smelled sulfur in the garage, so I googled it and sure enough 12v battery died. I ended up taking the kids car to nearest Tesla shop and picked up a battery for $90. Tore the frunk apart and installed it in about 15 minutes. All good now!

I didn't know the white Jesus drives a Tesla, but somehow I always assumed he would. Congrats on the mile stone!

I think that's pretty good, but the determining factor is time as well for batteries.

That’s so awesome but good God clean your car!😜 I had a 2/2020 built Y and it was one of the first built. No mechanical issues in 53k miles before I traded it for a seven seater Y. It’s crazy because now you can buy a used Y for under 30k. Such a steal.

Yeah, you can see the blurry Dyson 😂😂😂 [TBFH IDAF since I own it]. Yeah, great cars. So much better than the rest, bar none.

Interesting stuff. Is it the third set of tires excluding the ones that came with the car? In other words are you averaging 50,000 miles per set or 67,000? Which tires?
@PsyTechnical
@PsyTechnical Месяц назад
1st set: the 19" Continental RX that comes with the car lasted about 80k to bald... The 2nd set was Bridgestone QUIETTRAKS from Discount Tire were traded in with like 3/10 and prorated after I RIPPED through them, 3rd and CURRENT set are the same Bridgestones QUIETTRAKS as I enjoyed the 80k mile rated warranty and these are at about 62k miles and I have not rotated them but one time about 55k miles ago... I LOVE to run the experiments!

Do you have 3rd party insurance after the 120k battery and driveunit expires?
@PsyTechnical

Fuck no, done with insurance.

I'm really curious how you're able to charge to 100% all the time on an NMC pack. Seems like that should kill the battery?
@user-fl4pi2ut9c
@user-fl4pi2ut9c Месяц назад
There are a lot of Model S owners (especially the free supercharging ones) who did that. A few have 300- 400k miles! Again daily 100% and almost exclusively supercharging on nearly 10 year old cars!
@PsyTechnical
@PsyTechnical Месяц назад
Well, I had to test it...
@hieyeque1
@hieyeque1 Месяц назад
@@PsyTechnical I did some research and discovered that charging to 100% isn't a detrimental to the battery pack as leaving it at 100%. Apparently, if you charge to max and immediately use it, it doesn't have time to break down the battery. It's staying at 100% that hurts it the most....strange.

No, there are a few rock chip blips and shitz. Not a care in the world when it comes to that sort of thing...
