Hunters are supposed to be ridden with a lighter contact, whereas an equitation horse is supposed to be ridden with more contact. I get that she is an English hunter, but It seems that specially at the canter, her reins are just sagging along his neck. That isn't acceptable for a hunter, clearly stated in the USHJA rulebook under hunter classes. It is appropriate to ride a hunter on a longer rein, but not this long.
Any point to these overweight horses with shuffling movement? Not one would past muster at any "keuring" on the continent. The canters are especially bad, no uphill carriage at all. Flopsy flopsy? What will these horses be used for in sport?
