It won't let you shift into 2nd or 3rd gear when you are rolling in first gear at around 5 mph, or it won't let you shift down when you are near the red line. It is really not an issue when driving, I only noticed it when I touched the shifting paddles by accident and that message showed up

​@@MysticBoltz yup... I've got this exact car and it's every bit the badass the C7 ZO6 is, and after driving both the ZL1 drove better IMO, with the brand new 10 speed auto even more so. There was the dealer allotment then as well and I got the last one on the list, mine had every option but the engine block heater. The LT4 motor is so responsive to even just bolton upgrades to begin with, I did however ditch the POS 1.7L stock supercharger and put on the whipple 2.9L, headers, pulley, exhaust, cold air induction and a custom tune for the LT4 for 640hp + or - 5 to the wheels and it cost just over $80k in total. It takes out hellcats and mustangs, and the '17 ZO6 and others over the years and lost a few as well. Over the years it's also beaten several Porsches too for a third of the cost this thing punches way above its weight class. For the money and bang for your buck the ZL1 is very, very tough to beat.

That's great but you wouldn't be within .6 seconds of a ZL1 1LE if you drove both cars. You're citing a difference in driver skill. The 1LE is MUCH more potent on a track. The ZL1 is better for daily or highway driving though.

I love the 2015+ Mustangs but Ford made them a little too big and about 300 lbs too heavy. The new Camaro doesn't look very good and isn't as practical as the Mustang but it is a great drivers car. The 2018 Mustang has really narrowed the performance gap though...

I love my mustang but it’s no where as fast or quick as these new cars without a doubt 😂 I love it though, good starter these 99-04 mustangs are, and they sound good too! Got a Pypes off-road h pipe and Flowmaster super 44 mufflers on mine, sounds fast, just isn’t that fast, well it is for me since I only drive a 97 Ford Ranger before getting this.

You get all that on a base model 320i or C300 which is the most basic bmw and Mercedes.

I'm from germany myself and in fact many driving schools use base model BMWs over here and them base models don't even have leather seats let alone carbon fiber and aluminium panels. Some german cars don't even have air conditioning if you don't pay extra cash. No offence but it is how it is. Us germans make jokes about having to pay extra for pretty much anything even if it's something ordinary like normal leather seats.

Than being said, my 16 year-old son has driven a Ferrari, three Lambos, a Hellcat (3 days at Bondurant) and a Z06, as well as my 60K Audi A6. The point is, its all about who the teen is, his experience, and also who his friends are. I am blessed with a very responsible 'kid' (knocking wood as I type), not a dumbass who might've killed himself in a car like this - - - like I was. Lucky for me, my Dad liked huge, boring American luxo coupes and sedans like Lincoln Continentals and Town Cars. (Luckier still, apparently God thinks I have some purpose on this earth, as despite my attempts to do otherwise, I survived the stupid stunts I pulled in cars, as did my passengers). So although its mostly about who the teen is, a little divine intervention plays a role too, but I would not be counting on the latter when pondering giving the keys to your supercar to your young driver.
