Pretty much your opinion is how most people feel. When asked if trash or good. They say trash but don't want to because they're not bad they're just not spectacular and the XXL list should've been expanded if anything. The freshman list is treated like a popularity contest when really it's supposed to show up and coming rappers but also give attention to not well known, skillful and talented people in the game. Kap G, A Boogie and Kamaiyah have my attention because they're totally new to me and I hope I enjoy what they have put out. Moving on people like XXX make me mad because I thought I liked him but I don't. He has an interesting range of music but he already has all the attention needed and seeing how he was at the photo shoot was cringy as fuck him, being the only "gangbanger" to cut himself with the other emokids in highschool he is. Listening to Ski mask, he's really good, crazy good with the way he sounds and I'm kind of shocked he's even associated with X but would be a much better choice over him even if they have the same fans. Amine I've only started listening to for a minute but is probably one of my favorite rappers and personalities. He has a very fun vibeful style and doesn't make bangers or anything I would say trendy. He's also works with some really good instrumental artists that I dig too. listening to Amine's stuff and interviews gives me a grin because of how fun he is But overall the number one thing I have to say is that people shouldn't even make such a big deal over XXL, rappers and public alike. I give a lot and little to no fucks about XXL and never hear a single thing about them outside of their freshman cover. I have no clue what makes this list so important from any other website/magazine If you really want opinions on rappers always look through multiple lists and articles to see the range of whats good and what isn't. I hope people realize that they don't have to prove themselves to these guys especially after hearing their comments towards people like Post Malone one being a fucking artists. Everyone needs to let loose and know that XXL is not the pinnacle of hip-hop. But yea that's pretty much my whole opinion. Kind of want to copy and paste this on more videos and maybe put it up somewhere

I like how triggered people are getting. It's his opinion. If you don't like it, don't watch, or try to make a compelling argument. I think his list was fairly accurate. Carti just sounds like a generic trap rapper who mumbles and makes noises. But its just my opinion, if you disagree change my mind.

Everyone is trash on XXL except ugly god, carti, and X. You don't seem to understand how the XXL works now, you don't judge them off their lyrics. There is a difference between actual rap and turnup rap which is what all of XXL is. That said, X carti ugly god lil pump and dex are the best new turnup rappers out.

Has anyone noticed that everyone on the 2017 XXL Freshman List are one hit wonders? KYLE - The only hit song he made was definitely ISpy , and thats what mostly everyone knows him for. Amine- Most people know him just because of Caroline and it was his only hit PNB Rock - Probably the only person who isn't a one hit wonder on this list. A Boogie wit a Hoodie - Drowning was his only hit. Kamiaiayh- People only know her because she featured on Why u Always Hatin. Ugly God- The only hit he released was Water. Kap G- Barely anyone cares about him or knows him, but Girlfriend was a semi- hit and a few people might know him from that song. MadeinTyo- People mostly know him for his hit song Uber Everywhere , Skateboard B was also a hit, but not a huge one and it didn't give MadeinTyo much recognition XXXTENTACION- He's mostly known for his controversy, but most people know him because of Look at Me.
