I hope in drakes next diss track he pulls the stunt Kanye pulled with this line. Just acknowledge Kanye for a single bar and drake would say something along the lines of “remember forever? What’s the only lyric people remember from that song? Last name ever first name greatest…”
what's hilarious abt taylor made freestyle is that drake had to take it down because pac's estate threatened to sue, that's karma from drake taking down a lot of AI drake covers imo, pretty funny how that works
The like that verse is getting way too overhyped. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great verse, but in terms of a diss I think it was a decent jab. No one was mentioned by name, only plain as day references, and the meanest thing he said on there was how Drake and Cole make mid music. Drake mentioned Kendrick’s wife by name in his track. I’m sure even Kendrick would agree he was hitting them with a light jab first before cooking up the actual diss bomb to drop on them.
Of course its not as hard of a punch, but I think it wasnt intended to do so. While being a relatively light jab the bars where really good, every line had a meaning, and felt overall very calculated with no filler. This isnt a Story of Adidon where the plan is to demolish drake's reputation
CDTV, I’d like to inform you that 3 jobs was too stressful so I dropped the least paying and I’m now making a combined 32/hr and it’s all because of my aspirations of content creation which YOU inspired. Much love brotha 😤
@@PenguinRiskI feel like as a song itself it’s just carries itself better than push ups for example however I don’t really think I can fairly compare a full diss track to a short verse
Oooo lol I'm dying yup kickback definitely deserves that self knockout 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what's even more funny was the apology after that cdtv got me with this i literally forgot about mal's diss hahaha
It’s fair to say Rap Elvis is better than Vulturius but the compliment you gave it was for a bar that was full of uneducated rambling. He named off a bunch of people who completed their contracts like they left.
Like that was a good song but… it didn’t really hit anyone that hard. Maybe it’s because I’m not super invested, but Kendrick just called drake and Cole mid in a super clever way but didn’t really diss, and if he did actually directly diss it was so subliminal that I couldn’t tell along with most people. At least push ups actually disses Kendrick and co. with names and pointing out exact situations. Also ganging up with a bunch of people to diss drake just takes away from the verse even more, like isn’t drake the pop star, why is there 50 fucking dudes dissing him at once. Pusha did just fine by himself but Kendrick needs the avengers?
@@jameslight4391 sum of it was coordinated, but not all of it. And Kendrick shot first on his own, to my knowledge, he didn't ask everyone else to come to his defense. Drake spun it so that everyone was coming collectively together as one coordinated assault against him. So it isn't that he wasn't fighting like 20 people which he definitely was/is, but he def embellished sum of it to seem like it was all coordinated.
I feel that the most insane and borderline disrespectful diss was made by Chris Brown, I understand the Like that story and everything but a diss is meant to be disrespectful and to crap on your opponent, and to me no one did it better than Chris brown. No hook no help from anyone else just pure disrespect
@skeaterskeee8390 his kendrick section was cool but it hypocritical considering alot of drakes biggest hits were when he wasn't actually rapping. And you can also look at kendrick and drakes billboard top 100 discog and they actually have very similar percentage drakes just drops Wayyyy more than kendrick. Also him mentioning record labels while he was under cash money and now Lucian is hilarious.
Let me reorganize things S- 1st Weakest Link (literally the best DISS track so far, that’s an example of what we wanted to see in the big battle), 2nd Push Ups (he addressed multiple people, he perfectly responded to each line that was sent to him, counter attacking all dot’s lines, imo as a diss better than like that) A- Like that (powerful hook although it’s not a diss but whatever, as a diss it served it’s purpose but I think we’re overreacting for the shock it was, dot can and will do better when he responds, and overall this is just the best song, if we remove the diss would still be a great song, dots impact was surreal thou) B - 1st is 7 Minutes Drill (the song served its purpose, as a warning shot, although it was a bit disappointing because we wanted more, and saying sorry makes Cole look bad but don’t discredit him for nothing !!! Y’all X and YT experts need to stop throwing stones), 2nd OH&B (better than Tender, I don’t know if it’s for the fact that Take Off was featured, but a decent jab as you called), 3rd Tender (good diss, made CB respond with the greatest one of the year, but for a Migo it’s just decent), 4th Taylor made freestyle (How the hell it missed it’s mark ? Great one, just lower because of the use of AI, but it wouldn’t have the same impact if it was Drake voice only, he had to include dots heroes and it’s a great move, there are catchy parts like “Kendrick we need ya, west cost savior” and Drake answering to Snoop with “Ya Unc’” it might affect dot more than pushups thou), 5th TakeDat (no need for explanation it’s decent) C - 1st Rap Elvis (completely agree with you there), 2nd Big Foot (it’s a girls thing a lil better than expected but that’s it) 3rd is a tie between Champagne Moments and Like that remix (I don’t know wtf just happened here, completely missed their points, as a track like that remix has a better production but that’s it, disappointed with Ye and at the same time I thought it’s Ye ! We had to expect him putting himself up more than dissing, had one great diss line against Drake and the “Cole make a p dry” was hilarious thou, I can’t listen do Champagne Moment at all WTF was that? When I saw the notification I thought I would see Rozay killing, he has experience with this, not going Lower because of the memes factor 🤣🤣 they were hilarious before becoming corny and kinda made me think he was obsessed with Drake) D - OBS: I would put all other diss verses by metro (as disses they were just okay but great songs thou 🤣, metro is boomin…) and Hiss - Megan’s response E - The rest , Benzino forgot he was dissing Eminem, Kickback (I just don’t have an opinion tbh)
The Sauce by Eminem is a flawless A+ diss track -Explained the situation and informed the listener - Intense instrumental and delivery -Exposed his opponent -Insulted his opponent - Followed up with another more brutal diss -
2 weeks have passed, and not only has the Kendrick/Drake beef continued to go haywire, but now Knox Hill and Scru Face Jean are going at it (with DKrapartist and Blindsight joining Knox).
if you got benzino you gotta have doomsday by eminem its what started this right now. also L take for putting Like that over push ups. Push ups is actually dissing directly and rebuttling the points in like that it shoud atleast be on the same level. But i get it its Kendrick cant have anyone over him ☝
I agree with both takes. Nearly 20 years after Like Toy Soldiers, Em yet again contradicts that song by reigniting the Benzino beef (the first time being Big Weenie on the same damn album!) And Drake deserves his flowers for not only refuting Kendrick’s disses, but going against multiple rappers plus The Weeknd solo.
Kendrick has the discography to back it up. Drake will shit out an album in an afternoon and you'll call it "Album of the Year" before forgetting about it a week later.
@@mariokarter13 Nah if Kendrick jumped out of a plane you'd be like don't worry he doesn't need a parachute he has the best discography that doesn't matter in the diss track unless he references to its useless as a disstrack drop and give me 50 is quite clearly the best and I wanna make it clear I'ma certified Drake hater which sounds lame as hell when I say it out loud but just so you know I don't have some fetish for the dude like his strange fans but I'm only arguing on a musical point of view.
@@melkormorgothbauglir.4848 being a certified drake hater is worse than being a fan at least fan of anyone. If you dislike someone just ignore them lol you don't even know them irl
@@jameslight4391Nah, I like Drake but he's deserved most of what he gets. He's winning right now though, unless K Dot responds with something that's gonna be remembered for decades.
The only track that could dethrone Like That is Kendrick’s own response to Drake. For Hip Hop, he must tell us how he’s big stepping with a size 7 man’s on 👀
Wanted to wait a min to not spoil the list for everyone else, but I’m surprised you didn’t mention Show Of Hands, honestly one of the best “diss” tracks that came out of this whole civil war
Nah I'm not even going to lie the weakest link by Chris Brown should be an S tier. If anything was an instant knockout it was that diss track. As soon as I heard it I knew that there was nothing quavo could do to win the beef. The aggression, the flows, the bars, the insults, Chris Brown was locked in.
Taylor made is super disrespectful, like he dropped that one to get under Kendrick’s skin and using two of his idols against him is genius. Fuck all the AI talk, it’s a creative diss that did what it needed to do. Disrespect the fuck out of Kendrick. That should be an S tier man.
Don’t get me wrong it’s a really good diss, but I think if Drake’s next diss track is truly as explosive as he says it will be that Push Ups is more of a great lead-in to that
@CDTVProductions I understand that but I don't agree with it. I feel like you're supposed to review it as it's own song. It is longer than Kendricks verse and covers more responses while still being entertaining and very listenable. Quite a number of quotables and good responses to every individual artist who mentioned him. The hook on it is better than "Like that" too. You also shouldn't just consider Kendricks verse because Future threw some shots at Drake too. If "like that" is S tier, then so is "push-ups". There's no actual difference in quality between the two tracks. I don't understand why they would be rated differently.
@CDTVProductions I'm sensing a lot of Kendrick bias. I don't rate that. Feels like you're moving the goal post to accommodate Kendrick while downplaying Drake. Drake did more than Kendrick on this round.
Whatever bias you have against chris brown, can’t deny that diss was easily the best of the year so far and it’s not even close. Quavo is gonna get sent to pop-punk songs after that
@@TheBigMenace literally the verse from start to finish, you can look up what the lyrics mean and what the metaphors are if they aren’t clicking. I mentioned specific ones in this very video you’re commenting on.
