Red is for moms above 50 who don't own anything than red jackets, green is for men above 65 because it matched the color of their underwear they still use from 30 years ago. If you bought this in this color and you saw it in black later you would pretty much want to drive off a bridge because you made the wrong choise.
Great review! You helped me fall in love with this car all over again. Don't worry, I can't afford it yet either, but I'm working on it. This is the one at the top of my list though. The mighty M5 & the competition model just adds to an already legendary icon of the sports sedan world. BRAVO!

Awesome review, great that you're taking your time to go through the whole thing. As a contrasting opinion, I believe iDrive screams to 1st vs MBUX solely based upon CarPlay / Android Auto support. CarPlay updates over time and you're always getting new features. Idk about Android Auto. The iDrive also updates over time via LTE, since this is a 2021 model, it's almost guaranteed we're going to see more features and settings for this specific car.
@@harriz17 You can still get other individuals for $2500 which is a bargain in my opinion. But if you can afford a 85K+ car you should be able to afford that.
It's a very bold color for sure. Why I think it works with this sort of car is that it kinda offsets the cars otherwise too serious personality. Like - so what if it looks a bit too fancy & crazy? It has 600+ hp to back that ostentation anyways! We need more bold colors on roads; give us Java Greens and Purple Silk and Speed Yellow and all that haha!
I have to say that I’m really shocked at BMW coming up with this exact same blue colour that I customised on BMW M5 in Need for Speed Payback video game. And I remember the game has been out for quite some years now. Like BMW officially took the wraps off the previous BMW M5 at the launch event of the game. Right? I’m loving this colour. Sure, it’s too loud and grabs a lot of attention on the streets - but in a good way. What kind of reaction did you receive while driving the car?
@@MilesPerHr lol, I owned one (m5 comp) for 12 months... the dash and buttons literally would peel ... the trim would rattle and feel flimsy on close...and now having moved into an RS6, its literally chalk and cheese re build quality.
Stock for stock on the street my m5 has never lost to a hellcat. And I’ve raced dozens. Hellcat more power yes. But suspension and hook up not even close. I put the launch control on with all wheel drive and I’m gone on the hellcat every time.
I don't like this color on this car either. I plan on getting one in Marina bay blue. Great detail on showing the car but a little too nit picky for me though. I love the car and pretty much everything in it but to complain about a plastic grab handle that is not leather? and a visor that doesn't slide to cover a small gap. I don't even use my handle in 5 series and I have rarely used the visor on the driver side window. Really, not that big of a deal.
If I could only have 1 BMW (I would only want one anyway), it would be the X5M Competition in Donnington Gray. I really liked the M5’s shape initially, but it has not aged well for me. It’s gotten rather bland rather quickly, imo.
I got my new 2024 X5M comp in Black Sapphire Metallic, black and cream seats, bowers wilkens sound, executive and M drivers package and red brake calipers….delivered two weeks ago. It’s the perfect luxury super suv daily driver.
16:33 The CarPlay interface that fills up the whole screen means that my next car will definitely be a BMW 5-series instead of the Mercedes E-class, which after facelift, has shrunk down the CarPlay to just the middle part of the screen so that they can display the.... temperature.. damn. For the body colour, somehow I like it. Any colour that is not black, white and grey is inherently better.

This baby blue paint color on this above M5 Competition makes this car which is a prestigeous ultra high performance, heavy tech automobile look cheap.
Color is ugly. Wish it was like a dark cherry red at night it looks black during the day you can see the dark cherry 🍒 red with gold flakes. I wanna be the first to pop that cherry 🍒
The US version doesn't have a gas particulate filter and it sounds so much better... (btw if you keep releasing Videos like this you might be able to afford an M5 sooner than u think haha!)
