John Davis is the best automobile reviewer of all time. I seriously hope he continues to do Motorweek till his last day. True legend! We all love you John!
Why is car reviewers like top gear more known than this guy? John is the OG automotive presenter and is still killing it 👍👌 also stow and go is available on the pinnacle, just with different seat options....ones with less cush
@@heavyarms951 rather watch a show that tells me what I actually need to know. I like good entertainment and top gear is good entertainment but there just isn't enough shows like motorweek
@@harleyrobertson73 John Davis is a legend but yeah like you said he’s not an entertainer. Sadly motorweek may be last of its kind with RU-vid car reviewers.
they're nice! and a lot of dealers are totally out of em, cept you might fins a few basic models. but the way to go, is with the Blacktop pkg, looks so good
It is a awesome and strong Minivan. They have so many first new features and technologies for the vans over the years. The other van manufacturers have been taking notes from Chrysler even Helen Keller can point that out. Hopefully some day world is a lesser hate place. Take care.
It wouldn't be that easy... It's a Fwd platform. You'd probably have to make it mid engine and redo the drivetrain to make it work. Cool thought, not easy at all. All hellcat variant stellantis products are on RWD LONGITUDINALLY mounted engine platforms....
@@mpsangha yeah i kinda already knew, but it’s not impossible, they could use the trackhawks setup and engine, i get what you’re saying though, it would be an unjustifiable waste of money, would be cool if they just made like 10 of them or some really limited variation, just to say they also made the worlds craziest minivan haha
I don't understand why anyone would choose a crossover SUV over a minivan, especially an all-wheel-drive minivan. A crossover SUV is literally nothing more than a rebodied minivan with less interior space.
Mine only has 6k miles on it, then I got the “service battery at dealer” message and it won’t start. I had it towed to the dealer, and they’ve had it for a week and can’t fix it - they said they don’t know what’s wrong? What are my options? I’m shocked - this is a 2021 50k+ vehicle with just 6k miles!! Even more frustrating - they don’t have a rental car available which is part of the warranty agreement! Someone please help!
My 2018 Pacifica gets 30 MPG all the time on the highway driving and just got 34 MPG on the first 154 miles on my last fill up. My 2018 Pacifica seats 8 and is a must for hauling grandchildren. We love our Pacifica and know its the best thing on 4 wheels ever. Can't load my picture proof to this site.
@@76carmel Not a hybrid, just gas and have driven it over 500 miles on one tank of gas crossing the country. I chart all my gas fill ups and location so I can see what my MPG is in different parts of the country and it's less driving west and more driving East.
A friends parents bought a brand new Voyager in 1984. They invited me to go on a road trip from Las Vegas to Salt Lake city. I was 16 and my parents said yes. My friends father drove the van at like 80 mph the entire trip. I shudder now thinking how sketchy it really was to go that fast in that.
@@kyboy5 no its not. As a mopar owner, I can instantly tell you that mopar/Daimler/fca vehicles are only good when new. Put a few years on em and good luck. Disappointing but the truth, unless you’re a masochist and love replacing everything, over and over and over
I hate minivans so much since I was a little girl. My hate continues after getting hit super hard by one 🤦🏾♀️ dying to see how this dude didn’t see me in a white pilot. What are the safety features here for crash?? Since none worked as I got hit!
It’s because they are much heavier due to the safety features, two sliding doors, automatic door openers/closers, assorted bells and whistles, and a v-6.
Even though manufactures have made improvements in engines and transmissions to squeeze all possible MPGs, those efforts are offset by additional weight being added to vans due to new features and comforts.
Power has gone from 95 hp in the bqse minivan to 300. To get the same mileage from a 300 hp v6 is astounding considering its twice as heavy and twice as large.
@@mtnx7 its not just that. Its the awd systems and most importantly the base chrysler van has a 2.2 4 cylinder with 95 hp. The 3.6 makes almost 300 hp and has the same mileage. Impressive.
We tested the hybrid specifically a few years ago. Nothing has changed since then so that information isn't obsolete. We focused on the Pinnacle trim which is the big new thing for 2021.
There's a Major flaw in the rear 2 rows of this car...and it needs to be addressed immediately by FCA ...It's the A/C overhead vent system..we have discovered that in order to keep the 3rd row cool enough..in the second row..even with the overhead vents closed..too much cold air comes out of the second row overhead vents and both passengers in the captains chairs end up Freezing.. Either give the 3rd row completely independent A/C..Heat controls...or find a way to COMPLETELY CLOSE those overhead vents in the second row..It's not even tolerable..
One of the 3 best mini vans, still impressive, user friendly comfortable interior and high quality materials throughout, practicality with some luxury touches,a nice combination.
The concept of a reasonably priced family transport is long gone. Most modern families can’t afford one of these new minivans or else they are up to their eyeballs in debt for an overpriced gas hog pickup truck or SUV.
So the same or worse mpg as the first yr.. Huh. 4 times the price. Huh. Made by Chrysler.... I mean Fiat...I mean Stellantis. Huh. The quality abounds. 👎
FCA dropped the ball by deleting budget base Chrysler/Dodge minivans, and lost a ton of buyers doing so. People willing to pay up to $55k for a new people mover have a ton of choices to consider, that aren't Chrysler minivans. Slathering on more whipped cream will not entice buyers. This is why crossovers are still selling so well. In general, they are cheaper, smaller, easier to maneuver, more economical, and most times, faster than Chrysler's mini's.
@@LeShawnTho - they do sell a Hybrid Pacifica w/a V6 ICE, compared with the Sienna's HSD + I4. Don't expect any TRUE BEV's from Stellantis in US, except for a 'Cuda / Barracuda* before '25. This COUPE would be based on the medium-sized BEV platform taken from a 2G Giorgio (Alfa Giulia / Stelvio). The ones with ICE will keep their Challenger / Charger names... * FCA is been teasing the name for a while and since Stellantis want to unearth older stuff like the Hornet, the Dodge Delta logo and probably the Slant 6 name as a Pentastar / Hemi 5.7 replacement the fishy name would fit nicely...
cool. i like the 1984 retro footage. not sure I'd want to buy the Pinnacle. seems like a high premium for a space robbing floor console, a fuzzy headliner, and a couple small throw pillows. maybe the Voyager trim level is the best value. Thanks for the video MotorWeek! 🆗🆒✅🏆😊
I had a 17' Pacifica Limited as a company vehicle for a while, but wasn't a huge fan. Hopefully they tweaked the trans in newer models. Recently got a 19' Odyssey Touring for a replacement and it drives way nicer imo.
@@DoSum4Me I don't doubt your comment, but I laugh at Honda for offering anything except the best. Well, maybe the 5,6 transmission Odyssey kept my laughter going until now. Who buys a Honda for the "best quality" costing the most? Really?!
Chrysler had been running on fumes for years, lazily rebadging the base Pacifica as a Voyager proves that. Overcomplication of simple things for no real reason " oh, instead of using a rear view mirror lets put in a camera system and put it on the touch screen"
Thats not true at all. Do ypu know chrysler has made 5 billion profit over the last 8 years? Its the only american manufacturer making a profit. The pacifica is upscale and has the new look with awd and has a hybrid engine soon to have the new electric hybrid engine from the wrangler. 375 hp and 450 ft lbs with full time awd. The voyager is plain and has the old look and retains the 3.6 with the soon to be inline 3.0 6 cylinder to take over.
Wow, look at that original minivan with ZERO headrests @ 1:13. That tells you, even in 1984, how little regard for family safety the auto industry had for its customers.
