@@jamesanthony4045 this is always the smart move. I plan on buying one end of next year brand new once I see all of the recalls and consumer rating. I also want to see what the Yukon looks like. I have a 2000 NBS Yukon and just replaced the transmission after 230,000 miles.
Im good i will keep my 2003 gmc yukon fully loaded with even the little extras i have put into it and on it and best part NO MONTHLY PAYMENTS 🤣😁 and i have 4 wheel drive hahaha
Not revolutionary at all. Too expensive for what it is. “High country” is a cop-out. Wow, embroidered head rests and 22” wheels with auto up windows. GM pricing structure at its finest.
The fact that a $77K Tahoe does not have a fully digital tachometer/speedometer is a joke. It should have it standard at this price point and trim level. At most, this SUV should be $60-70K MAX. You're just paying $7K more than the Premier trim level just to have the 6.2 V8.
I hope to get any generation Tahoe as my first REAL vehicle in the future. Pretty much satisfies every practical needs and I’m a huge fan of the styling. Either a Tahoe or a Expedition. If not those two, I want at least midsize SUV.
Everyone bitching about the pricr. But everyone use to complain that they used cheap plastics nd need to upgrade. Did u think that would be at no cost to you
The point is at the prices they are asking for these, cheap plastics should NOT even be in the same sentence! The fact they are “getting away” with it is BS. You’re right, they will just pass the cost onto the buyer, and the catch 22 continues.....
Yes the high country trim approaches Denali territory and entry level Escalade, folks option for the Chevy version in the high country often for the premium features without the badge. Some folks stay away from Denali and Escalade because in all honesty, both trims are very flashy. Some love the understated luxury features, but I have to admit, $75K-$81K for the bow tie emblem is outrageous, but obviously this will sell like hotcakes. I’ve followed listings as they’ve appeared online and I watched one get listed and sell 3 hours after the fact. These are cash cows for GM
You also get A LOT of practicality, space, versatility, technology, quality, luxuries and comfortability for $75,000 here too. It doesn’t matter that it’s a Chevrolet, what matters is this Chevy offers a lot of the convenience/features found in some luxury SUVs that cost tens of thousands more.
Amin Inshassi can you not read I said in my opinion I could buy a corvette instead of this for the same price or cheaper based off the launch price “probably cause you can’t afford one” these are gonna be 23k in a couple of years
@@JustJoshBruh I actually am visually impaired, so I probably.missed what you said. Also, the C8 Corvette is a different vehicle, made for those who want the ultimate performance car for the money. On the other hand, the Tahoe and Suburban are made for those who want the ultimate SUV for the money.
@@JustJoshBruh Oh, I almost forgot. Can you even afford a C8 Corvette? I can, and I would love to, but I decided not to for two reasons. One, I don't have a driver's license, since I can't drive (due to low visiob). Second, my family would rather have an SUV.
But my 2001 Suburban is still going strong at 265K and everything works, ABS Idiot lite comes on occasionally, but a piece of electrical tape over the lite fixes that in a jiffy.
To think you can easily get a c5 corvette for a quarter of the price this is. It may not be practical but being a car person means risking practicality, unless you can afford both.
Y’all complaining that’s it’s 2wd lol most of y’all don’t even need 4wd 😂 but yeah I agree that it’s overpriced. Chevy starting to get into luxury foreign numbers. But if I had the money I’ll buy it 😂😂 well the Denali or Silverado. I need bed space or cargo space
Yup. GM has never learned how to restrain premium content from lower-tier brands/models without also making them look needlessly cheap. This could have had LED tail lights and still not step on the more expensive Yukon's toes smh but GM doesn't realize that.
Great review - haven’t liked Tahoes since the early 2000’s LTZ - really most Chevy products tbh. They have a LOT of work to do, although I’m sure they’ll sell like hotcakes due to market demand. - Meanwhile, I miss Pontiac. sigh
Bro chill, let the man like what he likes. I prefer the Yukon over pretty much any car, but you can like the Tahoe and this man can like whatever he wants. Nobody needs to hear your crap
jesus those have to be the ugliest tail lights I have ever seen, they look like cheap after market ones that would cost about 20 bucks. the new camaro tail lights are almost as ugly. Chevy really needs to fire whoever is designing their vehicles, they just copy and paste the silverados front end. lazy.
I drove a Yukon for 12 years. Excellent vehicle but fuel inefficient. 170,000 miles at 17 MPH. $25,000 in fuel cost. But they are Damn comfortable and powerful. Why do all carmakers think we want three rows? I took my third row out when I first brought it home and handed to the guy that I Sold it to 12 years later! Base models (LT) sell in the low 40’s.
Gm drops the ball again on interior just mehh... 80k just for 3 tv screens pretty much. Just get a sports car 🤷🏾♂️ same ole features just a new design. Where's the wow factor??? Definitely not worth the money and I'm a chevy man. It'll be 35k next year
The interior in these new Tahoe's are way better then in previous generations, not only styling wise but also build quality along with using less plastics. majority of the interior is now more presentable and has a softer feel, instead of touching a field of plastics... Over all this new Tahoe is shaping up to being quite a bit better then its out going generation. Sure its not perfect, but just like anything and everything "nothing is perfect"
I think it’s insane to charge that much for a suv. When it didn’t even cost Chevy 77k to MAKE IT . They make these cars an trucks more an more UNAFFORDABLE. 65k is still RIDICULOUS that’s a foreclosure house smh.
USB-C ports are not weird at all... it's actually about damn time. Most of the USB ports in vehicles are strictly for charging and USB-C has way better charging capabilities than USB-A via the USB Power Delivery standard... lets just hope GM has actually gave these USB-C ports decent wattage.
I never liked the new redesigns of the Yukons, Yukons XL, Tahoe, Suburban, or the Escalades but I have realized that its time for change and I am now falling in love with them again. That is actually my favorite color - Thats the Satan Steel Matallaci and thats what I want when I buy one.
Much prefer the Expedition, it has more legroom. The Tahoe looks more modern and inside looks better but I was really turned off by the button shifter. The Expedition looks way better in the front too. Too bad Chevy decided to put that horrible button transmission, totally ruined it for me. I think the Expedition is better on gas too. The rims look horrible too, chrome is a no go nowadays. Come on GM!
I plan on test driving the 2021 Tahoe and Suburban. About to low ball the heck out the dealer to see how desperate they are to get rid of the new models. In California they are just now getting them. My local dealership said two more weeks for the burban to come in.
Interior sucks for this price ! Same old Chevy , overpriced gas guzzler. Much rather buy a Telluride, especially for so much less $ and nicer interior.
Interior and exterior both are very good looking. Ample space for large luggage. The drive of this new big SUV is smooth and powerful as it appears from the reviewer test drive.
Trunk space is garbage it’s just like all the rest you might have fancy seats and all that junk space if you got about five kids you can’t do nothing you need another vehicle just to bring your stuff and travel
How are they gonna charge these astronomical prices and the seats are the cheapest thing yet, their not plush and soft like the 01-06 and every year get worse. Fucking make good seats
My 2019 Malibu doesn't have fog lights yet I can see everything and the best part is they are aimed lower so u don't blind other drivers. Trust me u don't need fog lights.
Like the vehicle you need to polish your delivery and study the manual for information in the vehicle before you review on here? All in all the vehicle sales itself thanks for the review!
Rather have a Navigator just a class about all these other large SUVs. Aviator is beautiful as well. The GMC Yukon Denali and new Escalade are a bit better now.
@@lpmoora an SUV is an SUV. if i can buy essentially an ultra luxury SUV for the same price as this supposed "lower end family car" I'd buy the ultra luxury SUV.
John kenley No one is debating what type of car we’re talking about here. What i’m saying is It’s in a different PRICE BRACKET, hence why it’s a different class or tier. In this case, it’s a pure luxury suv starting at 75k compared to a 45k “work horse” suv. That’s like saying an WT Silverado trim is in the same class as an LTZ Silverado. They’re not
Glad to see they finally have a panoramic roof. Hope the seats are actually soft. Not really impressed with much. The grill is evident that GM can't let the Transformer movie franchise go. I can't believe they are still using those old gauges. They were in my 06 Impala. The screens on the headrests are tacky and should have been intergrated. 77k? No
