The 2022 Certina DS Action Diver in titanium & Ceramic bezel! 

Certina fan here. I feel they are criminally underrated. Beautiful watches that are rugged enough to wear without worry. Those divers are gorgeous as is your videography. You have some of the most beautiful shots of any reviewer. Thanks for showing off this great brand.

I would definitely buy the 38mm version if it had a ceramic bezel. One can only hope

That micro adjustment feature is brilliant. I didnt think it was important until my current watch started feeling tight at certain times.

Hell of a watch. I bought it because it was similar to the Omega Seamaster "No Time to Die" edition, but I have seen the two of them side by side, and believe it or not, I like the Certina more (and it doesn't hurt that it costs 10 times less). My only complain is the 21mm band size. It's an odd witdth.

No weird helium valve and skeleton hands is a big plus. Indices are even better looking, similar to my older 300m. But make it 41mm with a 20mm lug width and you have a winner. Don't know why, feel like I need another coffee while watching your video ;)

I have two Certina ds action, both are 43mm titanium and steel (black-nato-strap)....for the powermatic 80 mechanism, I can say something perfect that Eta made, a lot of people don't even understand what it means and the success of people who they work to adjust the mechanisms with a laser without error, so you don't even need a regulator, and in all this the Nivachron spring (name and company, also under Swatch) has achieved the most, which contributes to accuracy and is resistant to temperatures and against magnets....both of mine are in 1-2 seconds + in 24h....people, I measured 81 hours until the clock stopped......thanks and respect to all...

Thank you for this review. Certina it’s an historical and great brand. This is a bargain for the money, ceramic bazel, fully titanium, hot looking divers with a great movement for less than £1000.

These upgrades to the 43mm Certina DS are awesome. I’m really hoping the 38mm gets the same engraved ceramic bezel insert and the ratcheting clasp. I think the 43mm would be way too big for my 6.5” wrist. Keeping my finger crossed that the 38mm gets updated soon.

I like it. Clearly this is a watch company's big middle finger for people who hate faux tina.

Just received my DS TITANIUM a few hrs ago, it’s really nice and astonishingly light , and delivered 3 days quicker than expected 🎉🎉🎉 the only problem was adjusting the bracelet .the pins were unusually tight ,but eventually solved with some WD~40

Very nice review! I said it before, Certina is my favorite watch brand. Not only in the Swatchgroup. They have an incredibly rich history of inovations, beautiful designs, their vintage models basically all have in-house movements, there's a lot to like. The DS concept is such a simple but effective way to protect shock and water resistance, they are truly like a mechanical G-Shock. I own and owned over a dozen different models the last 15 years, all automatic, never had any issue. I can't wait for the DS-2 to arrive 😁

Great video! I was waiting for this. I have a tough decision to make soon between the PH500, the DS Action Diver 38mm and the new 43mm. Wish I could get my hands on them to compare in the flesh. I'm loving what Certina is doing lately. Proud to have one of their watches.

It would've been cool to see this on a Milanese strap as I think it would suit it very well. I also think a black date wheel would have been a better choice. I do love it and strongly considering getting one!

I think I have watched this video more than once. And it made me choose to have this model recently in exchange of the gold/black 43mm. Sadly, when I got the gold/black model, I noticed a late 1 to near 2 min delay compared to my Certina super PH 500m; I bought this too initially. I added a bit more with this Titanium model for USD108. 00. Simply happy to have this considered. The difference in weight is indeed obvious as compared with the gold/black version! Thank you for providing your reviews on Certina. Its a success for them having a reface of their of their models. Most important of all, value for money. Subscribed and followed.

I sold my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 42mm (2500c) a while ago for another watch. But I missed having a nice bulletproof diver. Bought the blue ceramic Certina DS Diver..... wow. It's like having my Omega back, but better. Much higher powerreserve, better "microadjust" clasp, better ceramic bezel (Omega was alu), thinner profile, Nivachron hairspring. The Omega had somewhat better workmanship (more complex case polishing etc.), nicer turning bezel and the 2500c movement is just beyond bulletproof.....but that watch is way more expensive. I am incredibly impressed up to now by Certina, let's see if this also can do 15 years of 24x7 wearing without any maintenance :)

Am not sure if this is by accident but my titanium Certina is matching Google time in almost a second after more than three weeks of last adjustment. If feels like a million bucks. Great video man.

Certina knows what they are doing but I'm more of a fan of there new vintage models and of course the vintages from 1940-1970. Still a nice new watch. Certina is solid quality straight through.

Great review! "Blessed" with an 6.5 to 7 inch wrist - your wrist shot convinced me that 43mm diametre and lug-to-lug over 50mm must not lead to "forget it and leave the certina diver house". I will act like a real man and go to the official dealer - just for testing purposes. thx - stay safe! :-)

Certina is amazing ! I own the DS PH1000 . the Ph500 is just as original and elegant. super quality and the Lume is impressive. this watch company should be King very soon . sets an awesome standard. and the movement is spot on right along my Breitling.

This is a nice review and a great introduction to this watch. I am not familiar with the brand but the value here seems to be outstanding. Titanium case/bracelet, powermatic 80 power reserve Swiss movement, 300m water resistance, a ceramic bezel, rich black dial, extension on the clasp, all for around £1k. Later Edit: Seeing this again wearing one feels right. chapeau. I got a ds8 powermatic 80 and i’m happy with it, after more than 2 years. I like the build quality, bang for buck and the looks and the ds system, so i’m expanding to…this exact model ! Titanium, as inhave a tiny wrist, nivachron and a patina look. Thanks for this, i found this model by chance, scrolling their site yesterday! Good job sir, thanks !

Wow this Certina looks really grown up.... I like very well unfortunately too well.

Certina are really on form at The moment. The level of finish, for the price range is very impressive. Styles they use is what i like in a watch. Add some titanium, wow. Beautiful. Titanium is the most exotic i can afford I've always thought gold looks better on Dark skin, silver on lighter skin. Gold Plated usually doesn't age well. Nice Review my firend. 👍👊

I’ve recently purchased the 500m as I’d looked at it for sometime but after watching your amazing review and stunning photograhy it clinched it for me! Im a big Certina fan and so i placed a pre order for the titanium action diver. It looks amazing and love the colour of the lume im really hoping that’s it’s a more golden yellow than the Seamaster just wonder if you could comment on that? Another fantastic review! 👍

Certina kindly release an update to 38mm with these features asap! This is an instant buy for those who have small wrist like me. You don't have any significant competitor in 38mm diver segment. Believe me I've tried to look.

I wish they made a 40-41mm 38mm is pretty small.. and their 43mm is surprisingly large due to its design and made even larger with the giant crown. I live in hope they made something in the middle.

I got the 43 mm in steel/blue/gold on friday, superb accuracy, but i (MAYBE, not sure yet....) will change to the titanium version. Hope i`m just as lucky with the movement.

The contrast between the markers/numerals and the black lacquer is..'chiefs kiss'. I'm guessing they couldn't color match the date wheel because of the glossy nature of the dial.🤔

Needs an oculus over the date.

Beautiful watch! Beautiful clasp and finishing. I like horizontal brushing mostly, but as you said the vertical brushing catches the light. I wish they did a black date wheel with white numerals. Once I saw that, It was like looking into a bright light and looking away, and still seeing it in your vision. I wonder if it could be modified? Before this I was looking at the Seiko SBDC131. Also in titanium and similar size. Same beat rate but only 70 hrs reserve.

Great watch. Why is your lume different to the pictures on Certina's website? They are both in aqua blue lume. Could it be that these guys can't take proper pictures?

The fake patina definitely doesn't work for me. It it was plain white lume it would be much more beautiful imo. I'd rather get a regular stainless steel model. But what I'd love is what various other people already wrote: the 38mm version with a ceramic bezel. I actually own the 38mm in green and love it, but the ceramic would take it to another level.

I just don't get the coffee bean to ground coffee/watch connection..

Does this watch have any kind of scratch resistant coating on the titanium case/bracelet? Or is it raw?
