The 2.0L engine is a great engine. I have had my first 2020 Jeep Wrangler 4 door and this vehicle with the 2.0L engine is great. I live in Brooklyn where some of the entrance rams are the size of NJ drive ways and this jeep has plenty of acceleration. I have the 31.5 stock tires. Get 27mpg to 31mpg on the highway.
You must be running highway tires on your Wrangler, and your highway speed must be 55mph. No way the model in this video will see that kind of hwy mileage with that tire/wheel package doing 70mph.

Just wanted to say, great review. Really enjoy your presentation style. As far as the Jeep, it’s perfect for me, love the color. Actually own a 2022 Rubicon 4XE (wife’s daily), would like to add the Willys in this color. Rubicon is great but honestly, the Willys would handle 95% of everything we do.
Bought a JLU Willys in 2021. Great buy, the 2.0 liter is really peppy and the ride wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone said. Drove across the country twice and it was just fine. Taken it on some tough trails and forded some water and haven’t found a limit for it, and it’s stock. Keeping it for years to come, no regrets.
I bought the same model and color without the Extreme Recon package and added all of the safety packages along with the heritage tan seats. Love it so far and I receive a lot of complements on the color. I ordered it before seeing the new color in person so I was a bit nervous.
I’m a big JL/JT fan and your right. $60k for a “limited slip” that’s crazy. You would be better off get a year old Rubicon for 50k and dropping 10k in mods. Will get way more out of that
I'm impressed as well. Passing isn't a problem at all. I honestly have to pay attention or my speed gets away from me. I have the 6 cylinder and it doesn't matter what speed I'm going, when I give it gas it smoothly gets up and goes.
That is such a great looking jeep, love the earl gray and the recon package. I'm really tempted to put the recon wheels/tires on my rubicon 4xe. I hope you are still enjoying your 4xe! that is such a great vehicle.
Got my 23 Rubicon Xtreme recon and I love it..yes expensive but what isn’t.. and you’re right with the recon package the steering takes a bit to get used to the consistent correction while driving. ✌️
Extreme Package has a lot more value for the basic trims and certainly should be cheaper for Rubicon compared to Sports or Willis - just because a lot of the package features are already parts of the stock Rubicon. Like Dana 44s - stock Rubicon comes with front/rear 44s. Bronco Sasquach package is 7000$ish for the base, but only 2000 for their Outbanks.
I have 22 Rubi XR. Has the 2.0T Absolutely love driving the thing. 2.0 Great all around engine. I like the sounds. Had same engine in a Stelvio, liked that as well. Made several 3500 mile trips out West. Steering not a factor. At least not like I thought it would be. Roads with slant crowns or big ruts require some corrections, but straight and level do not. My .02 worth. Good review👍👍😎🇺🇸
I've wanted to get a Jeep Wrangler for about 3 years not but they are just so pricey that they are hard to fit with in my budget. Especially when you look at the updated/new features that you can get in other similar vehicles!
Jeeps have always been a cheap way to display some "style" but they found out that kids will buy anything, so you do. This is why cheap plastic POS Jeep are selling for over 65K...a monument to stupidity.
$60k for a, loaded, low trim Willys with cloth seats and a 7” screen from 2018. Not to mention the lack of the reliable V6 Pentastar that used to be the “base”engine and now you pay extra for it!
Wrong. You don’t pay more for the V6 it’s still the “base” engine on the build sheet, the 2.0L is zero dollar option (if you want it). Also, that’s the 8.4 inch screen, not 7. The only you got right was the cloth seats 😂.
The 2.0 gets a lot of hate. The torque is there, it's the next fastest engine option in a Wrangler beside the 392, and the word on reliability is very good. I always had that v6-v8 pride until I drove the 2.0 and I ended up buying it. I'm not saying it sounds amazing. I'm just saying go drive one.
Well third fastest…4xe much faster in hybrid mode (which of course has the same turbo four along with electric motors), same torque as the 392 which is impressive
2.0 is a phenomenal engine paired with the ZF 8 speed! I absolutely HATE the 3.6 engine and manual transmission. Jeep engineers really need to come to the table and offer a stout manual transmission which can be paired to the 2.0, 3.0 EcoDiesel, and 392.
There’s a lot of mention of the bronco raptor in this video. It’s more in line with the bronco Sasquatch. The raptor is a different league all together.
Only reason I’m commenting. Congrats on the engagement. On the note of the Jeep. Fuel economy kills it for me but I like the style of Wrangler and Gladiator. I have no use for them though. I don’t off-road or tow or anything. 392 I guess would be my style because of power and I would want to lower it more. That said I was excited when the Willy’s trim came out. My grandpa had an old Willy’s Jeep pickup that I wanted to restore but my uncle has it now.
Why would anyone get the 2.0 Turbo GDI on a Wrangler? I thought the typical Wrangler buyers were more conscious about things like durability, longevity, simplicity, and ease of maintenance, compared to the average car buyer.
My jaw dropped when I heard the price. For that interior and the lack of basic driver aids that come standard on almost every car nowadays, it’s crazy. Exterior is cool, color is awesome, but still, crazy. Just not for me I guess. It would me perfect if it had upgraded tech and safety and a nicer interior imo.
I like the Wrangler but I'm not sure about this trim. I don't need those big tires. Cloth upholstery? It's ok for me. This vehicle has enough room for my family and our stuffs. Diesel engine or Pentastar V6 would be my engine choices
Keep in mind: this thing costs about the same as a well equipped truck right now. Take the same thing you got in a 2016 wrangler, or get the newest greatest thing?
I'd love to get a Jeep Wrangler but I am just so worried about the reliability on Jeeps. A few friends have owned Jeeps throughout the years and everyone of them have had a ton of issues from day 1.
Can you please explain how does the Trac-Lock - Limited Slip Rear Differential works on the Willys vs the regular lock system differential that the Rubicons have? nobody has been able to answer me that question.. thanks in advance.
Halogens are not really cheap. The leds are expensive than them. I actually prefer halogen headlights better suited for a classic look and it doesn’t blind people on front.
I bought the 4 door 2022 Unlimited Willys for a lot less and it's the same vehicle. It had 20 thousand miles and booked for 48 and I gave 41.5. I bought the 3.6 v6. Yes it is different and yes it's worth it. They will push the 4 cylinder and say there's not much difference. Drive both on road and off. Just saying. I'll catch crap for this opinion but I live out in the sticks of Appalachia. I live off road 😂.
Ive owned the 2.0t and the V6. The 4cyl is a far superior engine. Way more torque across the powerband. Compare dynos not the numbers. Night and day difference. It is also way more fuel efficient and responds better to larger tires and lifts compared to the V6 because of all that extra torque. The V6 is also eTorque which comes with a large hybrid style battery. The 4 cyl removed the eTorque.
the Jeep WRANGLER Willy's (JL) 4WD + 3.0 in. Lift 2.0 Biturbo I4 5-Dr SUV (LHD) could do with a proper heavy duty 3.0 in. suspension lift . . . not to mention 35.0 in. M/T radial tyres which is already available from the factory itself (as elaborated in this RU-vid® video) . . . that's a big advantage for owners, no aftermarket fitment that would void the vehicle's warranty . . . a 3.0 in. suspension lift is more than appropriate for any Jeep WRANGLER Willy's (JL) 4WD + 3.0 in. Lift 2.0 Biturbo I4 5-Dr SUV (LHD) regardless of the variant or market . . . my biggest concern is the RHD version of the Jeep WRANGLER Willy's (JL) 4WD + 3.0 in. Lift 2.0 Biturbo I4 5-Dr SUV (LHD), whether the RHD variant is a flawed post production conversion from LHD . . . or is it something that is taken seriously right at the very production stages of the vehicle . . . meaning a dedicated assembly line for Jeep WRANGLER Willy's (JL) 4WD + 3.0 in. Lift 2.0 Biturbo I4 5-Dr SUV (LHD) in RHD only . . . from scratch, just like how the LHD variant is built . . . a LHD to RHD conversion ain't that easy as you think . . .
I have the 2023 version and live it. All that extra stuff he mentions on a Sahara or Rubicon is why I didn't want those. I take my dog everywhere. I just wipe it down if I need to.
On that, yep it’s going to have to end up over on the side of the fact that it’s just not taking place of any of the five kinds of different but uniquely biased angles from which each individual either has or has not found two or even three ways of dividing those optional perspectives
You took the words right out of my mouth. Especially Chargers, Challengers, 300's, Altima's and the "Wrangler Bro's" apparently think they're too cool to follow the rules of the road too.
21 city and 24 highway? Only if you drive like a 89 year old great grandma. In normal driving, or if you have a "heavy" gas foot, you will be lucky to get 16 city and 18 highway.
I'm hearing you can actually jump start the 2023 3.6 using traditional methods ( another vehicle or a jump box) even with the goofy dual battery system. Can anyone verify this?
I heard the 4xE is temporarily getting a $10,500 tax credit. Don't know if that is everywhere, but it might be. Just for February 2023. It might last a little longer.
21/24 MPGs you mentioned are BS. My buddy has a sport version with the extreme recon V6 - gets19 highway and 14-15 in the city. My stock 2023 two door Willys with 2.0L Turbo gets 20/25 MPG. There is absolutely no possible way you can get 21/24 from a much heavier unlimited.
@@NomadFilmmaker305 my jeep is all stock 2023 Willis. It can do a bit better when it's warm outside or when I use 91 octane. My buddy has a Sport Unlimited on 35s, and he rarely sees 17-18 average. The dude in this video claimed 21 - it's a lie. 2L Turbo gets as thirsty as V6 with large tires.
I went with the jeep because of the deal I got and it will keep its value. My 22 Willys with 20 thousand miles booked at 48,000.00 and I paid 41,500.00. I was looking at Tacoma or F150. It just seemed the best deal for me. It blows my mind that full size 4 door trucks are coming with 2.7L 4 cylinders and if you want a v8 look to pay a hundred thousand or more 🙄.
With a trade (16 Altima) and 5k down my out the door price for my 23 Willys was $37,500. only 650miles on it. Love it. v6 and i’m averaging 20.4 mpg so far.
Jeep - the wrangler only cost 75000$ with stupid large tires , fully manual seats , a 2.0 4 cyl . Also jeep - let make the wagoneer series 2 with a i6 cheaper than a stupid wrangler
60k for a brick on 4 wheels and probably the most uncomfortable ride on the market and would not want to do long trips in this. Can someone explain why this is overpriced
@@dnice362 not sure what you’re driving but mine isn’t like that.. at all! you might be a lil EXTRA like they say lol it’s a jeep if you don’t vibe with the brand or nostalgia or feeling of it then don’t buy one stick to a civic. Lol different strokes for different folks ✌️
@@eastcoastlife3547 would you take that on a long road trip? No you wouldn’t my experience with them uncomfortable and it’s noisy. Personally I would buy a bronco badlands, I think they are styled better but again the wind noise it what gets me.
OMG lol 😂 No brainer car reviews are the best kind of car comedy around today… First thing, throw out all common sense 😅, unless you are new to driving or never have driven a 4x4 of any kind, then these kind of reviews are hilarious to the average driver. However, if you really have no idea about 4x4’s, then these are pretty good for you to watch, take notes and save it in your “you tube” favorite folder file !! Now if you know a little about this, sit back, grab a beer with some finger food, no I do not mean your better half I mean real food lol 😅, because these are funny on the common sense part and good for knowledge if you really do not know. Funny example : this is a Jeep, do not sit in the back seat like I seen people do in a Mini Cooper, then say “I have no leg room “ hello 👋 the vehicle says (Mini or Jeep) !! It does not say “Escalade, Suburban, M/B - E series, etc.” l like hearing there is not a lot of pick up and go in this. Remember the original Jeep only had around 40hp, top speed about 50mph too lol, with no seatbelts either!! What the hell they complaining about ?? Or my favorite, a blonde I was dating had tinted windows in her Jeep, this way in the summer she along with her Jeep could both go top less in the summer so she would not get any tan lines !! Then wondered why she got chilly so she turned the on while both of them remained topless lol, no I did not complain, even when asked about the the blinker fluid level!!
I just detailed a 2023 Willy’s it didn’t have a single button on the fob and not single button to unlock the doors you have to manually unlock all doors… Chrysler is bullshit all these trims and different options is just them reaping your pockets should just be 1 jeep with all options period shit is stupid
