Anok Yai is NOT getting the respect she deserves. I've watched multiple reviews of this Met Gala and you are the ONLY one to show her and she is ABSOLUTELY the top outfit of the night. I don't understand why more people aren't talking about this outfit.
Like even in this comment section, there's only one other person to give any attention to her, and it's as part of a list where she get buried in with a bunch of others.

I loved Jenna Ortegas look. It's the only one I kinda constantly keep going back to and saying yeah that's awesome. And thats because it was just so cool to look at. On brand, glamorous, commanded attention without being garish. Just Amazing. Seeing the video of her fitting for the dress and finding out she was involved in its design and approved the asthetic makes it all the better. Its totally Jenna and I love that.

My favorite looks are Anne Hathaway's, Jenna Ortega's, Teyana Taylors', Robert Pattinson, and Sean "Diddy" Combs from those I've seen but I'm sure there are a ton more.
I've always wondered why Björk has never attended the Met Gala. With her extraordinary fashion sense and willingness to experiment with intricate designs i feel like she'd nail it at that show.

Heavenly bodies was the best met because it was a good theme and everyone nailed it. they failed camp the best theme that no one understood the assignment for. this year could have been better. Karl has worked with other houses besides Chanel but everyone just did Chanel and black a white. where was the big gold chains his problematic ass was known for? the wedding dresses was a thing Karl did to close his show. this beige carpet is trash. it washed everyone out bc the light bounced off of it and it looked filthy
tbh i think cardi devoured the flowers on her dress are camellias which has always been a big chanel symbol and the suit top was very much on theme bc karl loved his white suits so some of the men you see wearing traditional suits are wearing something all white also on the cat looks theyre all inspired by karl's cat who actually outlived him

She always looks good for met gala but i be thinking cardi b outfits be to much over the top but I think Halle bailey was the best dressed to me her look was so simple and cute not to much over the top and very classy

I appreciate this video so much because a lot of people didn’t review a lot of the black women’s Met Gala outfits even though they were absolutely DEVOURINGGG like this is the first time I’ve seen Tems’ outfit (I don’t know who she is, but her outfit devours) and I was blown away because it’s so gorgeous and nobody spoke about it!

I have mixed feelings about this Gala, people were on theme and gowns were beautiful, but it felt basic to me, like I could see those outfits on different occations than Met. And also this Gala being dedicated to someone with controversy like Karl L... This Gala felt like double cross or double sword, people on theme, but feeling easy to beat.

Straight up lied about Ice Spice’s look just because you like her as a person. The tailoring was sloppy. The shape wasn’t flattering to her body. The seams were sloppy. The tail was boring.

There was a cohesiveness to how everyone followed the theme. But then to see the diversity in interpretations of the theme was what made it good. What made it better was that the men actually also participated & might have had the more interesting looks.

This theme was so weird because I feel like it was an excuse for everyone to do something plain and uninspired, but for some reason people were more adventurous as a whole than usual, even without icons like Beyoncé or Zendaya showing up to steal the night. Also can’t help but laugh at the Kardashian/Jenners showing up in such low appeal gowns
