Wow, the little Rav4 XLE is $39k nowadays + tax, wow............ A totally different world now than when we bought our 2018 Rav4 XLE AWD, it was about $30k out of the door.........Now we moved to Tesla vehicles and waiting for the big electric van from Volvo. Never going back to Toyota again just because their "ripping-off the average working family in the US" mentality..........
Cars are more expensive anywhere in the world, not just the USA. As for Volvo, wait until the car’s warrenty period is over and they present you huge maintenance bills. Same goes for Tesla when their infamous battery gives up the ghost. No other auto maker offers built-in reliabillity like Toyota offers their customers.
Sorry to lose you maybe in the future you would consider coming back. Which Volvo and Tesla models did you buy and what were your out the door prices? I feel the same about prices. Housing is an example. Idk why I have to pay over $400k for a house that was worth $200k in 2018.
Worthy of mentioning is the 19" wheels for the XLE Premium over the 17" for the LE and XLE. The vehicle shown is an AWD version, and the 2WD model is rated at 1 mpg higher. Another advantage of the Softex seat material over leather is that it runs 5 degrees cooler than leather, I am told.
This is true and can be further improved by opting for the beige or light grey colours. Further advantages are Softex doesn’t dry out over time and the material is far more scratch resistant. Slight disadvantage might be the real leather feel that isn’t exactly there. In short, it will stay in shape and fresh looking for much, much longer.
Great review and indepth report. I’m in The Netherlands and I am the proud owner of a red 2023 RAV4 AWD Hybrid in “Executive” trim, roughly resembling the USA Prime version. Many of the extras in this video are on my car too. However, they, other than in the USA, come in packages and are not separately available. Different markets, different approach by car makers. Greetings, Willem, Hekelingen, The Netherlands.
I get 42.5 mpg on my '23 Rav4 XLE Premium Hybrid. I have had it for one month, and like it more than my '17 Rav4 Hybrid Limited. I'm missing Home link and built in GPS.
@beerster, my 2023 XLE Premium Gas variant, brings 3 homelink buttons on the bottom of the frame less rear view mirror. It is surprising that the hybrid model doesn't include it. As for GPS, do you have an Android phone? I set up Android Auto, and Google Maps automatically pops up on my touchscreen along with my Spotify. No cords needed, just Bluetooth and Auto Android
Yes, wish they would tuck the rear wiper like the Lexus RX. Protects it well and you don’t need the plastic bag when going through the car wash. Do the side mirrors retract when locked?
Excellent review! Bravo! Maybe a video on the nuances of the cameras (front and back if it has them) and how all of the front and back light panels work (at night please).
Can you please do a video on the Toyota 2023 RAV4 xle premium safety features and also how the brake assist works thank you I’m thinking of getting a Rav4 2023
@@brianruperti I do have a quick question for you. Do you know of a window shade or product I can use to lessen the glare from the chrome inside my car? I live in Austin, Texas and it is sunny and hot most days. I have chrome trim inside the car on the dash, screen and knobs. Do you know of anything I can do to reduce that glare on the chrome from the sunshine?
I’m curious why the 2023 RAV4 XLE premium I just bought has two blank spots to the left of the steering wheel instead of one that I see in the videos for the RAV4 premiums that have been made. From your video, it looks like the one package I don’t have is the mirror one. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it or not????
Yes if you have blank buttons you are missing options from what may be packaged in or possibly came on a Limited. Instead of making a whole diff dash they just insert blanks.
@@brianrupertithe RAV4 XLE premium you’ve shown here the button panel on the left side of the wheel has the dash light control and 5 buttons with one blank. Mine has the dash light control and 6 buttons with 2 blank. I’ve seen other reviews for the RAV4 XLE premium and they’ve all had the same as the one you’ve shown, so it has me curious as to why mine is different. The blank buttons on mine are one located before the heated steering wheel and one after then the hatch door button. I hope that makes sense.
Awesome video, new owner so liking your videos. One question. I thought kick sensor for trunk is standard in XLE premium, is it not? I could not get to work on my xle premium AWD. please confirm.
Amaizing video brian best review out there good job ididnt hear you talk about toyotas d4s system on this rav its one of the main reasons i buy toyota its a major selling point anyways have a nice day
Comparing America‘s middle trim level RAV4 to the base model in my country is interesting. The German RAV4 gets soft surfaces, the fully digital driver display and the large center screen as standard. It only comes in hybrid form, too. Then again, it‘s quite a bit more expensive.
@@brianruperti oh so i can get on my hybrid xle? wont be handle if you regular mirror has something block it. Say a really large cabinet or that 1 really tall friend
Great review Brian that makes sense to everyone whoever watches it to feel the quality of every single part of the RAV4. I've really enjoyed the entire video and actually all your reviews are fruitful and full of beneficial information. Appreciate your efforts 👌 Sending greetings from Egypt 🇪🇬 ❤️ Peace ✌️
Money grab trim imo. This should be the regular XLE and the current regular XLE should be the new LE. Can’t imagine spending this much and still get the cheap door panel😖
Ikr it does not make sense at all Their missing LE premium, shortcut into XLE Premium thats almost 40k plus 💀 And if you get the LE they might increase the price too into 40k sucks because it depends on lease or loan or just your credit score too low.
Definitely the best value for the money RAV4. I’m ordering the all new redesign in 2024. 😊 👍 Excellent detailed review Brian. And ETA or News on the redesign?
Hey Brian, thanks for another very informative and thoughtful video 🙏🏻✌🏻👍🏻. I have a 2023 RAV4 limited hybrid and live in Canada. We have long and brutal winters here and the our city puts a lot of salt on the roads. Is it a good idea if I have my rav4 hybrid treated for anti corrosion? Worried about the high voltage cable corrosion as well and wonder if the anti rust would help. TIA
