Thanks for the review, it's on this years wishlist since you mentioned it the other day, love the base graphic of Suzy and there's a riding pun there somewhere but be it far from me to make it.🤣
Hi Avran, I'm very torn between this board and the Bataleon Thunderstorm for an all mountain board, with no park riding(due to bad knees). I am an advanced rider standing at 6ft 190lbs and wear a size 10 boot. Which board would you recommend between the two, and what size? Thank you so much and love the videos!
I just bought it in 161W I’m 195 cm with 11,5 boot size Really looking forward to trying it out. Just moved to Canada for my first whole season. I was actually going for the 159 but the guys in the shop made me go up. Little bit scared of the wide version. I don’t hope it gets clunky. I’m probably just overthinking. I trust that the guys in the shop knows more about it than me. Should I be scared of a clunky feel or do you think it’s not much difference?
felt the same about my first wide board and didn’t regret it for a second. never went back and I have a little smaller feed so I think it was the right choice! have fun
This or the Capita Super DOA for all mountain, ripping turns and riding some powder to replace my capita mercury? I ride a capita indoor survival most days and in the park.
Hey Avran, you’re my go to for snowboard gear. This board seems great but I’m based out of PA and ride a lot of hard surfaces. I’m a solid rider both ways, and am looking for something I can really progress my air with this year. I loved the dicey in 155 last year but I want something stiffer and maybe longer-5’ 10 175. Also looking at Rossi revenant 158
Heard it. Think that’ll ride nice with my malavitas? There’s a great deal on arbor cypress rn and tempted to pair them up with the rev. You’re the best!
I like a locked-in feel and a board that won’t slid out from under me. Fortunately, where I live we rarely have ice (I noted you said it slides out in these situations). I’ve always been apprehensive with the 3BT look; like it looks like it could lack grip when driving high speed turns. Is this deck more prone to doing so given its uplifted areas?
You're less locked in at the traditional contact points and it brings it more underfoot. This changes the whole dynamic of how it feels. If you're oldschool and love that locked in feel camber has, you'll probably hate this.
Hi Avran. I'm going to buy this board but I'm not sure whether to choose 154 or 156 cm. I am 5'8'', 150 lbs, foot size 10 us. I like trees runs, jump and quick turns. What do you recommend me?
Hi Avran, just bought this and needs some advice for some binding to pair up with this board. It’s between the Bataleon Astro Asym and the New Union Forces. Which binding would you say be better for my beat up knees? One knee has a replaced acl and the other might have a torn pcl.
Trying to decide between this and ride algorythm. Obv they are a bit different. But do you have a preference for a board you like better as a resort ripper, popping side hits and tree slashing?
Honestly they both sit in the same category. You can't go wrong with either. Ask yourself what shape you want, if you want 3BT, and then decide from there.
Debating between the 156 and 158w (found it on sale). I’m 160lbs with a size 10 boot and size L union stratas so the footbed hangs over the edge slightly (causing footbed drag if I really lay it over) on my current board with a 254mm ww like the 156. I want to go with the 158w for no overhang but I was wondering if that will feel like too much board compared to the 156 at my specs?
I have a Bataleon Omni (160W) that needs to be replaced. What would be the best option for its replacement? I love the 3bt and the backseats inserts options as well, but Bataleon has some issues lately due to changing factory. Thanks a lot, in advanced!
How stiff is this really? I have a 2022 Bataleon Party Wave plus in 157 which is rated as 6 out of 10 according to Bataleon, but interested in this due to its somewhat longer and more twinnish shape (but still directional). Is this a better overall one-board quiver for big-footed sasquatches, or would for example the Libtech Stump Ape be a better do-it-all board?
@@AngrySnowboarder Cool, thanks for sharing your view of the Stump Ape. Would you then recommend the Beyond medals as a good board to do most types of riding, or is it too stiff, and perhaps the Bataleon Whatever is a better choice (i.e more playful but less of a charger)? I want a wide and fun board, but think I prefer something longer than the Party wave plus. I'm a tall guy, size 12 guy, and approx. 230lbs. Any comments or other suggestions?
