I don’t know why some of u are just soo bitter , soo many people claim the hellcat can’t smoke a stock Bmw m4 in a drag race and he decided to prove them wrong with an actual race which he did. We all know hellcats are on the heavy side plus it’s a rear wheel drive despite the horsepower it makes ,so If u decide to tune that m4 then yes its definitely going to be fast same thing with the hellcat plus Bmw horsepower is underrated . Mind you , I’ve owned both cars and too many other ones and i just picked up a new bmw last weekend, both cars are awesome and it’s all fun in the car world cos there is always going to be a car faster than yours .chill bro 😎 am a bmw fan boy as much as am a mopar fun boy too .. all fun bro 😊

yea i mean that's really impressive. but how is he able to get that hellcat to run consistent 10.7s??? is it really stock? do slicks make the difference like that? throttle house has a video with an M5 smoking a demon. so this doesn't make sense. is will motivation purposely losing?? the M4 has over 500hp, is lighter and has AWD. all advantages that should help it win despite being down 294hp. doesn't make sense. it's not adding up. i'm a fan of both btw.

Everyone knows what 800 Hp can do when it grips. It’s just simple physics. But the hate behind the hellcats and dodge in general is they’re so heavy, can’t get traction, and just suck at handling. MotorEnvy put it best: “the redeye is a one trick pony”. You put these beasts on a street and it’s all over for the cat. I’m not a hellcat or bmw guy so I’m just speaking objectively. That’s why dodges do better in rolls but you see Awd q50’s dumpstering on hellcats on the street bc they just cannot hook to save their life.

Cleanest launch becuause it can only do that on a prepped surface. This isn't a real world test. On a street the m4 xdrive would win every single time if both are stock.

Because everybody claims mopars are slow but they need all these down pipes and upgraded turbos nitrous etc to beat stock mopars…. Don’t get me wrong a lot of clown mopar owners. I have a modded scat and hellcat but I cringe everytime I see one on the road with bumper guards.

Wills camera footage reveals he wasnt using launch control. Mdm needs to be off as well as dsc. Hellcat using track tires and needing a road that’s prepped. So not stock for stock. I run 11.1 consistently on my m4 xdrive stock!

M4's turn extremely well if you're in to road course racing as well. You'll have to do quite a bit work to a hellcat to make it turn at the same level. However, Mopar/Dodge specialty cars are gems that everyone should keep in their garage because big V8 production will stop soon.

I mean, stock for stock, an M5 comp vs hellcat redeye is a better matchup. Don’t have to mod any car to beat a hellcat tbh. A stock M5 comp, especially the M5 CS, will definitely beat a hellcat redeye on all platforms (street, drag strip, track) me as a BMW fan, idk why people thought a stock G82 could beat a hellcat redeye but obviously it had to be proven that it in fact, can’t beat the redeye. Only on the track. With that being said, good runs and hopefully you can find someone with a stock F90 M5 comp to get those results.

Was there a numpty behind the wheel of the M4? The 0-60 time of the stock M4 is 3.5 but that’s underclocked by BMW with people getting as low as 3 seconds

When it comes to cost that’s a big difference. Over a $42k difference since the M5 is so much more expensive. Now imagine putting $42k of mods in the Hellcat….

@@overkoat so brand I agree but the F90 came out in 2017 so finding a used one for $60K-90K in the same ballpark as a used Hellcat. So affordable but a problem.

Dude says BMW aren’t race cars but M division started because of racing, not drag racing but racing around a track. BMW M cars are truly meant for the track if you have the money to spend on tires, brakes and wear/tear.

I have a 23 G82 xDrive Comp...and it launches hard...but I have yet to make it to the Track...but OMG...I have NEVER seen anyone (Magazine or RU-vid Channels) Launch a Hellcat (Except for the AWD Trackhawk, TRX and Durango) like that...I mean...stock tires?

Good race that M4 didn’t seem to launch well. Did he not use launch control. On an unprepared road much better race due to traction, but if the red eye is already moving that HP is just too much for M4. Nice road course red eye may have problems also.

That kid didn’t do the launch control on the M4 right otherwise he’da closed that difference between the two cars significantly. PS: Basic bolt-ons give A LOT MORE added straight line speed to M4’s than they do for the heavier RWD hellcats.

Oh and as far as the longer studs in the rear. Most vehicles are a wider front axle track than in the rear. So with the rear more narrow but running the same size wheels on all 4 corners, wheel offsets are different. The wheel would be more tucked in on the rear, the offset pushes it out more and the studs will be longer to compensate. I might have missed something in there but that's mainly why the studs are longer in the rear. I'm not an engineer though LOL.

As a BMW guy who tf thought the Bimmer would win in a drag race, the Redeye is literally built for drag racing. You want to be fair take the same cars to a circuit track like Laguna Seca or Sonoma & that Bimmer will probably put a whole lap on that Redeye. Cuz that’s what it’s built for not drag racing, be fair 😂 let’s see that race.

I ran a 11.1@121 with a stock m3 competition at cedar falls raceway in not so good weather so this guy should have done a bit better with a car thats a little bit lighter at a better track/weather. Either way the redeye will pull out a win at the track as it has 300 more hp. Nothing to be proud of imo. Edit: was that a stock tire on the redeye? Also ethanol tuned g80 will destroy most modified hellcats.

That G80 M4 is TI-IGHT!!! Definitely plan on adding that to my garage in the next year or so. Props for Dodge for keeping things fast…..but zero interest in the brand.
