If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You most look outward if you wanna be successful in life.
@@1xBossup Still on the fence for which one. Obviously the best one is the one I actually buy, but thinking about an SW20 MR2, Celica, FC RX7, or MK3 Supra.
@@TwinsAndAPitBull Just get a brand new gr86 or even a nissan z and call it a day. Sure, they don't have the cool factor of those you listed, but they will in 30 years! The prices of those old cars are ridiculously high, not because they are actually that good, but because they are rare. I'd rather pay for quality, than rarity.
Nope but for anybody interested in more than 0-60, it's a viable alternative along with a long list of alternatives coming from Kia, Polestar, etc.. that's what will kill Tesla unless they get off their butts and come up with fresh designs (with real interiors instead of gimmicks like half a steering wheel!)
Did you bother to listen? 78 miles in 10 minutes. Dang man, how much of a hurry are you in? Bless your heart. 234 miles in 30 minutes. Don't you need to take a break after 234 miles?
It has 195kW DC charging, that's pretty quick. Most DC fast chargers are 50kW to 150kW. The onboard AC charger is 48A or 11kW that's more than enough for level 2 charging at home, you'd be charging about 35-40 miles for every hour plugged in.
My current 2019 Equinox gets me about 420 miles on a full tank. The range is impressive, but still not at what a gas car can do in range. My wife and I are waiting on the Equinox model for 2024.
@@heathherndon3389 batteries will be made in one of four battery plants GM is building in the US. One in Ohio just started production this month, one in TN and MI will be producing by the end of 23. Construction to start on the 4th plant in IN by the end of next year.
there's more to an ev than just looks Tesla far more superior in so many ways starting with their software. Besides these things are being made in Mexico Tesla is all American!
A $65k Chevy Blazer. It doesn’t seem to even register anymore that vehicles have gotten grotesquely expensive. Does everyone make so much money now that a purchase like this is reasonable? I have a decent job, but I can’t afford this thing. Not even close.
This for SS though.. base starts at 45k.. but a brand new luxury and or performance car will run you 60k+ 550+ hp and over 600 ft torque.. thats crazy for the price. Compared to the Mach E GT, 450 hp 600 ft same price.. and it's smaller.. blah
For a BEV coming in 12-24 months, the specs for charging are so passé. Really how many cars are already on 800v architecture, this is only 400v, not now but in 1 to 2 years!!!! Ouch!
I rented the combustion engine version of the blazer for a few weeks and was able to do small burnouts without even trying haha. It’s a very well built and fun suv, and this looks way better in every way! Awesome electric suv for the price!
The competition is getting tougher in the electric SUV segment. Let's be honest, this is one of the best electric SUVs so far. If it is sold in Asia, such as Indonesia, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and Arab countries, it will sell well.
Have the current blazer and we love it. Next one is the mach e only bcs we have had it on pre order since last year but.... after the lease is up on it.. might be going back to the blazer.
They have to make these suv/crossover’s to fund the production of sports cars and less mass produced cars that won’t make them as much money. Unfortunate but that’s how it works sadly
2dr sports coupes sell about 250-300k total unit's here in the U.S. each year across all model line's. Suvs meanwhile are 10-15x that volume. So you can imagine why they don't really exist nowadays. Wait a few for the upcoming ev Porsche boxter/cayman twins, and lotus has a smaller 2dr ev coming out around 2025 they claim will weigh within 100# of an emira. That might drive some sales. And mg has the cyberster green lighted for production as well. No idea where they'll sell it or how much it'll cost though. 🤔
I own a "20 (ICE) Blazer 2LT, V6, AWD. Bought it used in April, '23 with 53K miles, now have 65K miles on it with ZERO issues and all 3 recalls completed. I STILL love this machine, except for ONE thing..........gas mileage. I am averaging 24MPG, I guess it's not awful for a 4300LB, 308HP vehicle. The EV version looks "above and beyond" FANTASTIC. For me, the deal killer is no charging infrastructure (Central Wisconsin) and the PRICE being way beyond my budget (unless I can find a USED one in the future). If I lived in California, I could possibly over extend myself financially in order to put one in MY driveway! Btw, since ALL production of the NEW Blazer has been halted, there might NOT be any USED ones for sale, EVER!
It’s range, 0 to 60, and charging speed is not class leading at all for the price. With a 65k msrp with 6-10k dealer markups and no tax credits available its not affordable . I’m not sure we’ll see many of these on the road. Also I’m not sure how many GM can make with in the current supply chain climate. They are most definitely losing money on every car they make get ready to bail them out again at the us taxpayers expense. I appreciate the competition with design it looks great but logistics matter when they are making these promises to the public. By 2024 it will have lost its luster as something new shiny while Kia/Hyundai, VW, ford, and tesla who are already ahead in terms of specs set the bar higher.
interesting to see someone who understands the logistics of all this... well said. this is just marketing for gm. just as ford recently threw up their hands and admitted the mach e is no longer profitable, this will not be a Tesla killer.
Definitely not affordable. Dealers can play the markup game all they want, but I won't pay a cent over msrp. If that means I can't buy a new car, then so be it.
@@Togged Ford CEO Jim Farley wants to eliminate dealerships and move to all online sales, effectively turning existing dealerships into service stations only.
No not really.. you mean they need to catch up to Tesla.. that's not what tesla is about... even with all that gimmicky stuff other brands are doing.. nothing can come close to the network, minimalism , tech, and network. Sustainability is what their focus is on. Not something that is cool now to be later outdated in a couple of years like these other brands
Tesla is a tech company. And one of the reasons they're smashing everybody else but Lucid at battery range is partly because of the way the design is. Yes its not aggressive, but it is supremely aerodynamically efficient
The good thing about gas stations is they aren't proprietary. We need a charging standard. I can see charging stations looking more like multi-level parking garages with lounges and places to eat.
I get that it's awesome but I feel like every EV coming out is labeled as a potential "Tesla killer" from the MX30 to the golf carts to the nevera and taycan and everything in between. I wouldn't be surprised when Mattel releases an R/C car that you can't drive and some overexcited journalist calls it the new Tesla killer. Chill out guys!
@@MichaelWilliams-sf4cz could happen, they just need to rehire designers and keep pushing battery tech (hard since the OEMs are vastly outspending Tesla in this area.)
The 127th "Tesla Killer" click bait title video. Yet somehow Tesla is still crushing all of them. You can't kill Tesla if you don't make any cars. All hype. No action.
Well, a RWD Blazer model (I assumed GM would save this for Cadillac and the pickups EV models), offering the Blazer EV as a FWD, RWD, and AWD models and 3-different battery pack sizes, clearly, Chevy / GM are betting big on EVs, so, GM has 3-different EV motors (a powerful 255 kW EV motor for FWD, RWD or AWD positions, a 180-kW EV motor for FWD position, and a 62-kW EV motor for FWD/RWD/AWD assist motor, knowing the available EV motors, note, the GMC HUMMER EV pickup launch edition uses three 255 kW EV motors, 1-front and 2-at the rear, anyway), the Blazer SS EV is offered as an AWD model only guessing it offers a 180-kW EV motor for FWD position and a powerful 255 kW EV motor for a rear position, thus giving you that AWD capacity or basically the Cadillac Lyriq Luxury AWD model setup, now the base FWD only 1LT (guessing that’s a 180-kW EV motor for FWD position motor), the LT2 (guessing the same as the 1LT FWD, but the AWD version will most likely get a 180-kW EV motor for FWD position motor and a 62-kW EV motor for RWD assist motor for AWD), next the RS trim FWD (guessing that’s a powerful 255 kW EV FWD position motor), RS trim RWD (same as RWD Cadillac Lyriq a powerful 255 kW EV RWD position motor), the RS AWD trim is the interesting one (Chevy has several options, but I’m guessing a 62-kW EV motor for FWD assist motor and a powerful 255 kW EV RWD position motor for AWD or maybe some other combination, it feels like the the RS AWD will be the model to get if you don’t need or want the SS) and of course, the SS, which I already talked about, side note, did anyone notice Chevy / GM showed all available trims of the Blazer EV outside of maybe a ZL1 version, but to date the Cadillac Lyriq has only shown the Luxury trim RWD and AWD versions, could this be because Cadillac / GM want the halo/flagship upcoming Cadillac Celestiq to be shown first with these features and tech, I’m starting to think the Celestiq could be the first four-motor EV from GM, I was assuming it would be the Corvette EV, clearly they want Celestiq features/tech to trickle down to other Cadillac EV models, but the price you are hearing means it will have to come with the goods
Hope You are wrong about putting bigger motor in front.........65% rear/35% front would be perfect and what most intelligent Engineers would plan for...............Paul

Super nice blazer one thing id like to see change is how much the center console takes up the foot room of the back middle passenger for the families that will actually need that middle seat. Im not sure how they could do it but maybe have the vents come from rear or even the rear side of the front seats so the back of the console isnt so big. Idk just throwing crazy ideas out.
I love that you called ahead to ask them what color scheme the car is so you can match your outfit. Supes cute. I like the Blazer EV SS...but...I wouldn't call it a Tesla killer. It's the same price as a Model Y Performance, but is slower, has less range, and less tech (no Netflix, Disney+, video game console, etc)...and it won't be available for another 2 years or more. In 2 years, the Model Y will have even better specs than what is available now. So great car, but no Tesla killer for sure.
@@electric-rideshare So 1 year away then. Model Y has been out since 2020, so even a 2 year old car has better specs than a car you can order now and delivered next year. That's not a dig at Chevy. I like the Blazer EV, but I'm just stating the facts, and it's no "Tesla killer".
@@BecauseTesla looking at your screen name, of course you will be biased towards Tesla no matter what. “The Blazer doesn’t have Netflix, Disney plus and no video games”. @@SkippyPB. yes I’m a Tesla fanboy! I wasn’t until I owned one. What is your problem with my comments? I’m not hating on the Blazer in any way. I’m just stating that the channel called it a Tesla killer, and it is not. I stated several reasons why it is not a Tesla killer. Why does that trigger you? If Chevy releases something equally as good, then great, they’re equal. But in order to be called a “killer”, the specs would have to far exceed the Teslas. They do not. Am I lying? If so, where is the lie? So let the Car people talk about cars, and whenever the topic of peanut butter comes up, you can feel free to contribute.
“Tesla killer” is becoming such a corny term. Apparently every RU-vidr thinks they need to put that in the titles of their videos for every other electric car
Am I the only one to notice that this car’s rear seat shows little support under the knee AND when the guy (not particularly tall) leans back (which I suspect was accidental) his head is surprisingly close to the roof. This feels like,he was fed questions and answers to draw attention away from a vehicle which is behind the times.
We have to ask this as a consumer. How long are the battery lives of these vehicles, how much would it cost to replace the batteries out of pocket, and why are they making these EV's unaffordable? $65k for the Blazer SS EV and let's say the battery will last for 5-10 years. How much more will someone have to dish out? That's besides all the other stuff that consumers would be responsible for.
@@heathherndon3389 I agree! I have a few friends from Portugal. They say that some family members back in Portugal are telling them that their government has everything all lined up to start digging for lithium. The land there is untouched and beautiful. They knocked it out of the park with this EV Blazer. Looking forward to it. The advantage of the Tesla will probably be Teslas leading Supercharging Network all over the US.
Please, there are no Tesla Killer! Only competitors. And if they cant make them in high volume its more likely that GM gets killed by trying to catch up.
I've been in denial about whole EV thing until recently. All for embracing new technology but not crazy about styling on most of them until this. Sexy styling and nice interior. Hope to see this kind of styling trickle down to some more affordable and smaller cars. The bowtie is BACK!!!
I was sort of in denial of the whole EV thing until I rented a Tesla for the weekend. The whole idea is nicer. Charge at home every night... Full charge. No waiting at the gas station... Don't even have to turn it "on" just sit down and go. Could theoretically warm it up in a garage with the door still closed because no exhaust fumes. I'm a car guy... But my car usage is like 99% commuting anyway. I was delaying the inevitable.
Tesla has a 10 year jump on everyone. These first model EV's from Ford, Chevy, VW and other Companies including Toyota, and other foreign companies are going to have a shit load of problems. You think reliability of there gas cars are bad, wait to you start driving these first time engineering models. It is going to take several years for them to iron out the designs flaws both in hardware and software. I will stick with Tesla until at least 5 years from now.
I’m so glad more EV options are coming out. I really didn’t want a Tesla the only cool looking Tesla is the Plaid but all the interiors are plain as hell in all Teslas. I love the look of this EV blazer it looks amazing and stylish inside looks very nice. I would definitely love to have this EV Blazer.
By and large, I'm not a huge fan of American cars in general (with the exception of the Tesla) having been raised on a heritage of amazing European motors from the likes of BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti etc etc. But I have to admit, this has been done extremely well. I love the design, I love the aggressive width and stance, the interior design and space is really good and it's just interesting, whereas a lot of European EV's are boring as hell frankly. Take a look at the Audi EV's for example. Boring exterior design. Boring interior design muted with swathes of dark colours and dark plastics. It's about time that other manufacturers began to realise that our cars are no longer simply modes of transport - we want a bit of personality, individuality, a bit of wow factor. We want people to climb into our cars and go "WOW, look at this!" Not, "Oh look, more grey plastic and dark grey leather".
Well, I must say that I like the exterior design of both the Model S and Model Y. But Tesla's quality sucks!! And I hate the interior of Model 3 and Y. There is no instrument cluster directly in front of the driver. But, yes, Chevy hit a home run with this EV.
@@Rsmith420 Yes it does, Randy! I am not using no stories here. What I stated regarding Tesla's quality is 100% factual. I know lots of Tesla owners (personally) who complain about their car's quality. And right here on RU-vid, there are lots of video reviews about Tesla's bad quality. Also, Consumer Reports (CR) has had to remove just about every Tesla Model on its recommended list, at one time or another. Even one of my recent co-workers told me he worked in a car shop for about 3 years, installing audio systems. He said he worked on lots of Tesla cars, and had never seen such poor quality from any other vehicle brand. He said he stopped working at the shop just in April of this year.
@@TheTmat007 you claim that you’re not using no stories, but everything you’re saying is very much stories and hearsay. The quality has increased immensely since the stories that you’re referring to, so go off what you can prove about todays quality.
@@Rsmith420 dam near every youtube video on Tesla is about how many times they have to take it to the shop or have the tesla repair come to them,. But I wont deal with that kind of nonsense. If I cant repair or have my mechanic repair then I wont buy.
In this down investment climate there is one bright opportunity; investment in cemeteries for "Tesla Killers". So far, labeling a car a Tesla killer is the kids of death.
I will never understand the fascination for glass roofs. That is the last material I want above my head. I can only imagine the cost of replacement from either a wreck or hail and nevermind the fact if you roll it you'll be scalped or woese. You can't fix stupid though and for most, form is far more important than function and manufacturers are more than happy to sell something more expensive.
