I never listen to people. Most of the people saying the color’s off or whatever have NEVER held an OG pair in their hand with Nike Air on the back. So how would they even know something’s off? Outside of typical quality control issues. There will be nothing wrong with this shoe.
These are a retro of the 1989 military blue. Look at the pictures of the 89s on Nike's website. The 2024 looks just like them as they're supposed to. It's not a qc issue.
I got my pair yesterday but let’s keep it all the way funky !!! The Jordan Miltary Blues aren’t messing with the Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined!! Colorway , leather quality, and quality control are all better on the bred 4’s !!! Yes the Military’s are O.G but that by itself won’t make it a better overall shoe than the Breds !! 🤷🏾♂️
The Militarys look better because they stuck to the og form. Breds have a better colorway, but the leather was a disappointment from not keeping the original material. Even though the leather is better option for the breds it doesn't look better than original material .
You have to remember, they always let the outlet pairs go during the shock drop. Because if they can get off the b grade pairs without stamping it b grade and people are going to pay retail. Just because they are happy with an early release. They will always try to get away with it. But the ones that come from sneakers on drop day in the ones that come from the retailers will be a little bit better quality. But you always have to remember when its mass production like this at different factories there is always going to be some discrepancies.. 💯💪🏾‼️

So for those who don’t know, these are supposed to be a re release of the 1989 OG where the shade of blue was more like these. There are pics on social showing the 1989 pair next to these so yes they aren’t the 2012 pair, but it is a true to form re release of the 1989 pair.
The off white colorway just looks more light grey in person. It doesn't look blue. I did notice peaks at the toe box and heel as if they hadn't trimmed the leather. I had some light pink stain on some of the threading on one shoe which washed off. Overall, stunning shoe. Definitely most comfortable 4s I own.

Maybe just maybe the off white they are saying is the bluish tint they have. Maybe it’s not a defect and it’s by design. We shouldn’t just jump to it being a defect.
As a og at 54 I'm not worried about the QC issue since Nike had a million plus made world wide so it is what it is. Be thankful that you copped a pair and wear them like they're meant to be. I got mine via the shock drop and it does have a very light blue hue about it but it's still a 🔥shoe and I'm glad to have them in my collection and rotation.
From my research the tint to the upper is indeed the way they were made to look. They did this to distinctively make these look different from the reps which if is true, I think that’s dope. They still look amazing in hand and on foot!
My pair is grade school size 7, the quality on it is the worst I have seen, reimagined were bad too but this one is way worse. The blue part around the sole is all rough and the paint is coming off...the stitching is totally off on the shoes from the back...I have to return these it's that bad
I was just told this yesterday by a manager at the shoe store yesterday. The Shock Drop pairs were made at a different facility and didn’t have the correct colouring provided. Nike told them to hold off but the facility said that the colour was “close enough” and still produced them anyways. Nike and there shoe factories are no longer held to a quality level. Everything is just being pushed out to fast. Another big reason is because Nike has caught onto resellers scalping shoes. They are determined to squash resale and that’s again part of the price increases. Here in Canada the tax man is going to be hitting volumes resellers with tax bills too. Sadly Covid has trashed the day of being able to walk into a store and try on your shoes and buy them. I’m always so worried about buying shoes off Nike too because Nike of there size 13 fit are consistant. I had to buy 3 of the same shoe to get a single pair that fit like a 13 should.
Just get a piece of white printer paper and put it next to the shoe and you can see how bluish grey it is. Or put it next to your Jordan 4 military black.
Quick question... I ordered mine from goat got them this past thursday.... I looked on fed ex at the tracking and they shipped from Austria.... is that a normal thing cause all my other shoes from goat shipped either from new York or California i legit checked them from check check and came back 💯 real just curious why they they shipped from Austria
When I got mine qc was cool but as far as the color if u look at it in the shade it looks greyish but in the sun it looks off white, I dont really care cause I put some light grey laces and they look pretty fire, I just can't get over the leather quality Nike could of done a little bit better, but that's my opinion.
There is nothing wrong with the color of the suede. The suede is supposed to be light grey in color not white. I heard people say that the blue is different from the 2012 pair. That’s because the 2012 pair had the incorrect color code. The 2024 pair has the exact same color code (141) as the 1989 and 2006 pair. The only QC issues are truly minor like glue stains and possible scratches.
The blue in the 2024 version is what the 89 had not the 06/12 pairs the grey is supposed to be grey not white it supposed to be close to the 89 not the 06/12 pairs 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
My theory is they used the same leather that was on the maniere 5’s with that “off white” tint , idk what the color code reads on the box for manieres but it makes sense the upper isnt the plain white we were expecting because the color code on these reads “Off White/Military Blue”
I got the shock drop and at first glance there was a light grayish blue tint on the leather. Not off white like the box describes. I thought I was trippen. But I wish it was solid white or the off white it says it had. I was thinking this was how it supposed to be.
With demand for shoes in general there will be quality issues.Anything man made can have QC issues.With amount of QC issues on the last two major Jordan releases Bred 4 and Imdustrial Blue 4 should we reconsider the SOTY to being either the Green Glow 3 or Ivory Craft 3 bases off better quality,comfort ability and sleeper value. I’D rather pay $200 for a quality that may not have to hype than pay the same price for hyped shoes that I Pray and Hope don’t have quality issues just because Nike Jordan want to flood the market to get greedy and get all the CREAM.
Ok so before i got mine in yesterday i had seen videos of people talking about the color defect so i was already expecting 50/50 chance after watching the vids...i got mine and yes, the had a light light greyish blue tint to them... (Cant tell until in a dark area). So after i noticed i looked at the box.. color code red Off White/ Military Blue... My guess is nike produced so many that the colors started to tint on pair so they had to Name it OFF WHITE 😂😂😂😂😂 maybe im tripping
The OGs were not bright white. These are the same color as the OGs. The 2012 pair was bright white which was not OG and the Blue was lighter than OG pairs. These are made the OG specs not the 2016 pair😑
all my Jordans in the 90's and 2000's were flawed we copped and never said a mumbling word about it lmao we wanted the shoe and didn't care unless it was super noticable and if u took them back you weren't going to get another pair lol people are too picky these days mine have some pain flaws near the air bubble but I could care less you cant see it unless they're 6 inches from your face lol
I double up on releases like this just for the fact that I can pick the better one sometimes if I can afford I’ll get 3. Gotta get you a Texas rangers hat!
Thank God I don't need to worry bout those because I'm passing on them how's I don't like white sneakers well sneakers that have way to much white & the Jordan 4 Breds are the sneaker of the yr....I'll take my Bred 4s over them everyday & twice on Sunday's....Sorry I just can't do all that white and I can't stand white laces it's just so ugly to me...I've got 40 pairs in my collection and I've only got one pair with white Lace's & that's my Jordan 6 Hares and that's way to many white laces..😂....Great Video my guy...I'm waiting on those Black Jordan 3 J Balvins will be my next pick up....
I just got mine yesterday and they have minor creases on the toe box as if someone stepped in them or kept pressing the toe box. It's a sz10 i wear a 9.5 an lookin to swap.
I gotta sz 10 from Nike on a shock drop. Mine are in perfect condition. It sucks seeing a bunch of these with flaws. It's not that great of a shoe. Kinda reminds me of a kids color way. But yeah, if anyone is interested I do have a perfect s 10 available. I will charge retail just pay for me to ship it to you. Good luck on drop day!
When @elliotpage_ dropped his vid earlier today and showed his pair vs some military black, I said wtf. He was specifically showing toe leather quality but that freeze frame was such a turn off for me. It was like the vibrant blue I was hoping for leaked off the sole, making all the blue dull and dyed/bleed on all the white.

That blue "industrial" tint is from that Baltimore ship that survived the inspection 😂nike sd f'em they still gonna buy it and it's more pairs for the shock drop
So buy all pairs up & do own QC & return Karen, the ones you don’t like and people that come into the store and could have that pair that aren’t as particular and they miss out while you’re doing QC inspections at home. That sounds like a nightmare . How about grab a pair? Be happy that you got a pair double up do whatever you Gotta do and have a decent release because that’s the kind of stuff right there that makes shit nearly impossible not to grab the shoe with the grab the shoe in a peaceful manner. OK they have a bluish tiny then don’t buy them .
It’s not supposed to be white. The OGs weren’t white either. This is the most accurate retro since 1989 Videos like this make me hate Sneaker RU-vid. Like all you guys do is cry
All jordan 4s and 3s have trash quality. The 4s and 3s have some of the worst quality. I have 4s and 3s that i barely wore or never worn and the paint on sole is peeling, discoloration, and heel tabs are fading and cracking .
