DEFYN mentioned that a poorly-decided weapon menu hotkey has been causing loss of control. SHIFT+A needs to be rebound asap. You can do it yourself obviously, but it needs to be something different otherwise.

I think the reason you find AMRAAMs to fall off past 12-16km is precisely because their pitbull range is about 12km. Outside of that range, if you don't keep a continious TWS track on the target (and let's be real, in TTAAB, you're not), all they need to do to dodge the amraam is literally turn before the missile goes pitbull.
why is it 12.0.... it should be 12.7 in rb, but this is a whole new level of retarded... and the US doesnt get 9ms on their block 15 cuz who knows at this point...

Having not played air arcade in years and top tier air arcade ever, I hopped in the gripen and dropped 21 kills (17 in one life) in my first game, so thanks for the strats
I don't even PLAY this game. I last played before ground battles was even announced. But you inspire me just to try to grind all the way to top tier air just to troll tryhards. That would be the only joy I have of grinding all that way.
Not a war thunder player but in DCS the AIM-120 AMRAAM can reliably hit targets anywhere from 5 to 15 nautical miles away, depending on aspect (if they're moving towards or away from you). I hope that info can help somehow.
also I hit a 17 kill streak in a MiG-23ML (I am grinding soviet top tier, thats why I use it) using strats you have explained right before the update came out
honestly the F16D, or barak 2, has an absolutely stupid HMD mode that makes it infinitely more fun especially with its stupid funnny derby missiles, which are like python 3's on an infinite level of crack (well actually python 4's but on a full year of steroid abuse) i highly suggest giving it a shot, they feel a lot like how the R3R is the actually good AIM9B, and the python 3 as you have shown is already a good missile and the python 4 is just a better python 3
SPAMRAAMs have been meme referring to AIM-120Ds in a community ive been in for a long time, as you see people load f22s and 35s (or any other NATO plane ) with Ace combat levels of these goobers xD
I'm an RB player but I've been stock grinding the Gripen in arcade and it's been orders of magnitude more fun. Even spawning in within range of twenty amraams is fine because there's a convenient mountain just there and I can actually get on and do things with short range stock missiles.
8:53 that is called "cranking"....... when you fire... you turn left or right.... so the bandit is JUST on the edge of your radar screen . this causes his missile to have to travel farther.... and with less closing speed and the AIM120 MUST HAVE!!! a high closing speed to work. . either get to 50,000 feet and mach 2.2..... and rain down death or get low and fast.... and only shoot at people headed RIGHT AT YOU who are also fast. . . in DCS.... the AIM120c has a range of about 12 miles now you can get a kill at 30 or 40 miles.... but if the bandit turns AT ALL.... it will miss . but when you are at 50,000 feet and mach 2.2...... you can get kills out to 30-40 miles..... even if the bandit turns!! (in DCS.... ive shot an AIM9M at people 8 miles away, and then turned around..... he flew STRAIGHT into the AIM9, then called me a hacker LOL) . shooting aim9s like that... i LOVE to do it covers my ass..... and usually gets me a kill if i sell the "oh crap, you TOTALLY surprised me" good enough . . . anyway..... AIM-120s NEED!!! closing speed altitude helps quite a bit also
In the mean time, because everyone is so focused on realistic, no one saw how they messed up the Mirage 2000 flight model in arcade, the thing has becomed LESS agile than in realistic. When compared to the way it handle in realistic, it feel like playing a boat that doesn't want to turn, it's so frustrating.
@@Aoeilaeiepae As the only air arcade CC you can maybe speak about this, because it's clearly something wrong, and it make it unable to do anything if you need to turn harder than a Tornado. This thing clearly went under the radar of everyone because "MuH ArCaDe"
waht do you use for plane controls and throttle? i've seen the Lshift+A keybind combo mega troll people me included because it's often assigned to throttle up roll left
Something is weird with the missiles. I have some planes that just dont miss anymore. And others where missiles never hit now. They have screwed something up when they add 120s
OKAY SO I CAN ACTUALLY TELL YOU WHA THE CONTROL LOCKOUT IS there are 2 new keybinds, one is shift+d and the other is shift +a, idk about you but most people keep their throttle on shift, so when you try to roll and throttle up, it tries to switch your flares or open the visual weapon selector. This can be fixed by unbinding the keybinds (one is visual weapon selector, the other is switch countermeasures. They are both under weapons in aircraft controls) HAPPY HUNTING!!!

It truly was a mistake adding these without 6 v 6 matches in both modes, 16 v 16 creates over 150 fox 3s fired in RB, in AB that’s even worse with reloads
This update makes the faster planes way more defensive. F104 is harder to hit with speed. I agree with what they are doing but missiles seem slow vs reality. Especially newer missiles.
