So many of these are on my tbr too!!! I read foster last year too and I'm really intrigued to try out more from Claire keegan and see more from her writing!!

I only read Normal People by Sally Rooney and thought it was okay but really liked her writing! Not sure which one to start with though 🤔

I have Braiding Sweetgrass on hold at my library, as well as Smoke Gets in Your Eyes; can’t wait to read them, as I’ve had a hankering for non-fiction lately. 🤓 I read two Ottessa M books in the past month - Eileen and My Year of Rest and Relaxation - and both were weird, but I enjoyed them. Very character-focused, which I love. Really want to read Lapvona now. 😅 So many of the books you want to read are ones I also want to read or have already. Most relevant 2024 TBR I’ve come across so far, as far as matching my own interests. 😂👍🏻
I've actually never heard of Smoke gets in your eyes before so thanks for putting it on my radar!! I really have no idea which of her books i should start with, i think i would not like my year of rest and relaxation but some of her others I would really like ooh you will have to update me on your reading progress if you read any of these books !! Would love to hear your thoughts on any of them that you manage to get to !!
@@natalieandco I finished reading Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and it was very interesting. A definite 5 star book for me; it changed my way of thinking about death completely. The author not only goes into great detail about cremation, but also talks about how different cultures deal with death, and how we in North America distance ourselves from death, and how that affects so many aspects of society. Would definitely recommend! 🤓👍🏻
