It's definitely Volkswagen with you and Freya inside and the big Christmas tree on the roof. Love from Poland ❤️❤️ How do you survive so many episodes in one period of time? I don't know! You are simply the heros 😍😍
We are all rooting for the gingerbread house to survive until December 24. It is a fantastic design and with Anna’s tips I’m sure it will be more to your liking. Thanks for seeing to it that we have you every day for a bit. You know you guys are spirit lifters. I too think the mystery is a VW with tree on top. ❤😂
The ribbon!! 🤣. I loved how Carlos was totally chill sitting at the table eating candy while Arne soldiered on attempting to replicate his idea into a standing gingerbread house. The motif is your VW with the tree on top.
Watching the episode of you making the Gingerbread House was so funny. Seeing the finished project today and how you can laugh about it why I love you two. We can't be good at everything and practice will make perfect. You more than make up for it with your video's, knitting and designs. I can't even guess what is under the sweaters today. See you tomorrow!
I laughed throughout this episode. The funniest thing about the whole Gingerbread House is the ribbon holding it together 🤣 Thanks for being so gracious. As they say, you can't succeed without trying...and there's always next year, right? ❤️ from 🇨🇦 Canada
I have so much to say today!!! I LOVE the setting in your living room where you are filming today!!! You both look so good on the red sofa in your exquisitely decorated room with the blue walls and the beautiful curtains...simply gorgeous, both you guys and the room!
I watched you all build the gingerbread house and I fell out if my chair laughing. But I admire your perseverance and courage to tackle this and share it with all of us. I saw it immediately when this video came on and was very happy to see it there proudly on display. Hooray and thanks!
Will really look forward to seeing the house (hopefully) everyday. I wonder whether it will suddenly have scaffolding? Or more ribbons? :) My guess for the motif is the car with the tree on top when it broke down in the woods. :)
The beautiful tray shows Arne;s volkswagon bug with a Christmas tree onto. It represents the story of your break down on your way home from picking out the perfect tree to celebrate the holiday. You recently broke down again and rode on the back of a tow truck! Long live the Bug!
I think the gingerbread house is wonderful! It's the only one like it in the world! The motif on the tray is your white Beetle, maybe with Arne and Carlos inside and Freya in the backseat. You are returning to your home with your Christmas tree on top. Can't wait to see the whole thing. Cha-cha-cha!
It has to be the VW Bug with the two of you, Freya, and the Christmas tree! Also, THANK YOU for the gingerbread house. The entire saga has brought so much joy!
The embroidery on the tray is Arne's interpretation of the ancient tale of the two handsome Scandinavian princes and their drama-filled quest for the perfect--or any--Christmas tree.
The gingerbread house will stand until then 24th! I have faith in your talents both knitted and architectural! The motif on the tray beneath the jumpers is The Christmas Beetle.
i LOVE the gingerbread house!, and i think its lovely! I also think the motif is a picture of the two princes in a VW bug bringing a christmas tree home
Oh my goodness, love the ingenuity of the gingerbread house! Your creativity never stops! It looks like you made a tray out of the beetle and the Christmas tree.
The gingerbread “gate” is hilarious! Another great story. Almost as good as the two princes who tried to drive home with their Christmas tree tied to the top of the VW..until the VW broke down!
You two are gold. Thank you for letting us in on the gingerbread house drama. I really hope it holds! The tray is the tale of the two princes who broke down with their beetle when they wanted to bring their Christmas tree home.
The answer is: VW Beetle with a Christmas tree on top. Thank you for the entertainment. Much appreciated. I am knitting my 44th Christmas ball at this very moment! Happiness.
It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What seems ugly to most is actually beautiful to the person gazing another person or, in this case, the object. Arne, that gingerbread house has a charm of its own.🥰🥰 You would not have been able to achieve the wonky, off-kilter look even if you had tried. That ribbon meant to hold it together actually gives it a touch of class. I am sure it will be a source of inspiration for many bakers of gingerbread houses in the years to come. 💖💖
This episodes reminds me of Christmas' past, I have build many gingerbread houses with my children with varying degrees of success. I think the hidden motif is your Beetle car with the Christmas tree.
A few years ago, my young grandson and I attempted to build a gingerbread house. We never laughed so hard! We could not get it to stand together. At one point, he looked up at me with tears in his eyes (from laughing), and said we should just eat it! Smart kid.
The gingerbread episode was just the best. Thank you for all the great knitting tips. It is so much fun tuning in every day to see what you have for us. I love the gingerbread house and that was an amazing design to try for your 1st one! I think we are starting to see a VW beetle appear with maybe a tree on top!
I absolutely love everything about that gingerbread house. And I see the wheels of the beetle which is most certainly bearing a Christmas tree on its roof!
Yes! Don’t change yourself, change the needle! I wish I’d known that tip when I was a novice knitter. Like cooking… use the tools you have in your kitchen. Another tip - don’t be afraid to abandon the project if you can’t get gauge. Cast on something else! You guys are the best. My current bedtime ritual is watching you before “lights out”. Moose, moose! Love from Portland, Oregon 💕
Well, now my kiddo and I definitely need to go back and watch the gingerbread episode. We build a different construction every year. We think the picture is a VW beetle (light blue) with a tree on top. If you're all inside, that would be a fabulous bonus! So happy we found you! Two new fans!
Your large gingerbread house is fun and they can be tricky. Our mum often made us one at Christmas and filled it with lollies. Christmas almost is quite right without one. I think your motif is your VW beetle carrying your Christmas tree getting stuck in snow 🎄❄️
I have been laughing out loud for hours. And I'm planning to watch the episode again and again. It is a classic already . THANK YOU Arne & Carlos !! I LOVE the Gingerbread house 🏠,with an extension, a rare find...
Yes, the gingerbread house episode was hilarious but better than the ones I made with the grandkids when they were small. I hope it makes it to the 24th episode! The VW with a tree on top is what's in the frame in the tray. 🎄
I enjoy watching these every day. I'm currently knitting the 19th ball for this year and I post mine everyday on Instagram and Facebook. My friends enjoy seeing the new one everyday. Thanks so much for starting the tradition of the new balls every year. My daughter has the set I knit in 2020 on her tree in her apartment.
I am so enjoying your Advent calendar. Never laughed so much as watching the Gingerbread house being put together. I watched it teaching myself to knit the Norwegian way because I can no longer knit the English way my grandmother taught me - and it’s so easy and so much less stressful (pearl is easy too) that I can knit again. Very happy! Thank you both.
I love your gingerbread house "disaster" it just shows the fun side you two bring to us all. There are so many gingerbread house creations around the globe in many kitchens which look as ''fun'' as yours and they are all much loved 💕🤣💕
It is the BEETLE below the sweaters.... I love the style of the gingerbread house😍. Very ambitious for a first try👏...a great construction idea...I would never have build a house with a first floor...I love the ideas of Arne.
The gingerbread house lives on! It’s so funky and magical- love it! I can see a bit of the beetle on the tray- I’m imagining it with you in it with Freja and a tree on top
Guess #5: Except for the Bug, the colors are Christmasy. Wearing your knitted sweaters with Freya too, the tree on top and the wind in your hair. Everyone is having a great time.
My guess is Volkswagen. I loved the gingerbread house video. It brought back so many memories of our crazy attempts to make one. Thank you for the smiles, chuckles and happy memories.
This tip liberated my knitting techniques, having previously kept to the pattern instructions and not realising how free knitting can be if you have confidence to explore. Not being afraid to try new ideas in design, colour also is inspirational. Thank you so much for this and the fun you bring to us all.
A Ginger Bread house full of ❤️ Love, Joy, Good Wishes! It is not a failure! It is a special memory for years to come. It will be a fun memory for me that’s for sure! I am sure it will be a fun memory for too! My guess for today is a picture of your car with you two and maybe the pups.
The embroidery motif is your VW beetle with a decorated Christmas tree. This is the story of the 2 princes and the breakdown of their car, which is on this year's mug and you've shown us this picture before and it's a favourite of mine ❣
The gingerbread house is gorgeous, and the funniest video on RU-vid was the one with you making it it. It should definitely be a yearly tradition...making people laugh is a gift - you are a brilliant comic double act!
Hi Arne and Carlos!! It's such a blessing to have you in my home everyday!! I feel spoiled!! I believe the motif is the Beetle with a Christmas tree on top!
The beetle with a Christmas tree on top. A funny story behind the picture. I hope you have better luck with obtaining a tree this year and thanks for spreading the joy. Your gingerbread house is ‘creative” and we should not judge creativity.
Arne and Carlos, I loved watching you two making the gingerbread mansion. You are so entertaining. I was surprised that Arne was so focused on the build that he resisted all the candy. I am like him; I find it hard to resist something sweet and I would have been licking icing off my fingers and popping candy into my mouth. In this episode it was Carlos that had the munchies. LOL The Christmas reveal is getting to look more and more like your Christmas Beetle with the tree on top.
I think the gingerbread house is fabulous! The construction video was so much fun and made my day! Never a dull moment at your house! ❤️🎄😘 VW Beetle with the Christmas tree on top is the picture under the sweaters. That's a story that made me laugh too! 😂
I have to say the gingerbread house debacle is a fun story to follow. My fingers are crossed that it makes it through the holiday. So fun! My guess is the beetle with the Christmas tree on top ❤
Still sticking with Beetle with the Christmas tree. I'm really liking watching the gingerbread house making. I watched it backwards. I watched this episode first. Then watched you make it. So funny!
Doreen here. The tray is revealing the story of the Two Norwegian Princes bringing home the Christmas Tree on top of the legendary VW Beetle. Now the 'elephant' will be legendary. Please design a needlepoint of it. Everybody will want to stitch it to remind us not to be so perfectionistic.
I never in a million years thought I would be able to correctly guess the picture on the tray, but much to my surprise I am positive I have guessed it correctly! It looks like Arne’s Volkswagen with the Christmas tree on the roof. I ordered the mug with this picture on last year. I smile every time I see it. Love your Advent Christmas Calendar. I have shared it with two of my knitting buddies.
The Christmas Eve and the Two Princes searching for a Christmas 🎄 in their Beetle, a fairytale based on a true story. Your gingerbread house is not a disaster. I wish I could be there to help it looked like fun. You two made my day. So much fun and I admire how you can keep your humor in any case. I love your tips on size needles and swatches.
The gingerbread house story is so funny 😁, the design is a great one, Arne. I did watch the Sunday episode. It's always great to watch you both in the kitchen 😀.
I prefer to think of the gingerbread house with the ribbon holding it together as a found derelict chateau. When Arne works on the restoration plans for next year it will become a thing of beauty! Take care.
The gingerbread house will stand! And the Beetle will live on to carry you on many journeys.2012 the two princes finally found a tree and put it on the roof but then the 1968 VW Beetle chariot broke down They rode home in style on the back of a tow truck, Arnie commemorated the princes’ journey with a lovely embroidery, that is hidden under the sweaters.
But it is the fun you both had making the gingerbread house and the final result that are creating the memories for you, and forever more being a great topic of conversation 😊
Good evening Arne & Carlos, I enjoy watching your videos when my husband is on night shift. I remember years ago when I made my first Ginger bread house I had to leave a glass in it to help hold the roof up, it may have looked a bit goofy but my children loved it. Ginger bread houses are ment to be fun and it looked like you had a wonderful time. It won't be long before we will be able to see all of you cute Little beetle with his Christmas tree.
