The 25 CRAZIEST Game-Breaking BUGS Ever Seen in Rocket League 

Doubling the size of replays that need to be saved(to the same 120Hz) is of course not "crazy difficult" but could have it's own issues including extra strain on servers and potential issues with less powerful clients. Replays are for capturing and editing footage later on. Understandably it's never been a priority to give a small group of people the ability to decide if they should complain or not about certain actions. And let's be honest, most players will continue to misinterpret the data anyways.

@@Rocket_Sledge that's fair. I wonder if it could be done more efficiently, but it really isn't a priority for sure.

To be very specific, replays save data at 30hz of the information that the server sent you live while the game is played. It's not a client-side replay like many source games "demo record", or old halo theater, probably old CoD theater modes too. So it technically already is server information. As sledge said, it could have their rate increased, or even the server sending its own version of the replay, but there is pros and cons to that approach. One of which is extra bandwidth, and another of which is storage.

Ghost touch...Aka, scripting in disguise that nobody in the RL community wants to admit exists. Just because high tier players learned mechanics that effectively break the game, doesn't mean the scripts don't exist...Fifa is notorious for scripts, but it affects high rank players less because they know how to effectively break the game.

@@myeditedhandle I don't think so, as someone who's played since 2015 and didn't see it in even high Cas rating Rumble games. RL RU-vid wasn't anywhere near mainstream to the game's playing audience like it is now.

The only extra players footage I've ever seen is the issue casual lobbies had a few seasons back (and I covered in another video). I have never seen or heard of a comp game having an extra player.

@@Max_-di5xj Definitely could have happened. Sometimes all you have is the reddit post and a person's word. And in these cases I often didn't even have the reddit post to give context as I was taking right from the gfycat site. Which one in particular is fake?

Definitely was used before psyonix. Don't know if it started with dice and battlefield, though. The first time I personally heard it being used was in league of legends with "riot pls" (or "rito pls")

Bots still get in a game from time to time, so this isn't really news. Just make sure you are reporting them. Most dont last long before they are banned.

You probably accidentally loaded into Rumble Freeplay, which includes a bot so you can use certain items. I would guess the map was Starbase?

Dodging provides instant speed. Like the second you start the dodge it's a direct impulse. Thus boost-flipping is a very common (and non-broken) way to get demos. You will not see any wheel trails. Of all the complicated rules around demolitions "be supersonic" is the simplest one. Doesn't really break, just sometimes isn't as intuitive to the user(or victim).

Demos have rules and not intuitive rules. Demos are working as intended and have been since v1.43, except for the attempt to change them on v1.78 which was reverted quickly.

Except the fact that top tier players read nearly every bounce perfectly and consistently use it to their advantage. Almost like reading bounces is a skill or something... I hope you're trolling, lmao.

@@Rocket_Sledge the game tries to maintain a 50% win ratio. A good question to test is -why does almost every hit on the ball put it into a position where a player from both teams can reach it at the same time resulting in a perfect 50/50. That's a heck of a coincidence :)

They work as they should. There has never been a case of a demo outside of the demo rules which had conclusive evidence for it. "Every few games" is highly unbelievable because of this.

@@HoraryHellfire i have multiple replays where i drive into an opponent and by the rules it should be a demo but nothing happens. The opponents car sometimes doesn't even move. I have a 25-30 ping so that shouldn't be the problem. They aren't working as they should at least lately.

Or you play a team that can't even jump off a wall, but they just boom it and every single time the ball just conveniently goes far out of reach and into your net? Yeah. Ever play a game where you're peppering their goal but it just keeps hitting the cross bar, yet they take the SAME shot and it hits cross bar and goes in? Or when they just hoof it and the ball conveniently lands on their hood? Or any time you hit the ball it rifles off your car and ends up in. your half even tho you're hardly moving, and other times when you take a shot and it plops and rolls towards the player, or you take a shot towards the right but it some how goes right to the opponent....On the left. Ever drive faster and 5050, yet it some how constantly keeps going towards your goal, whether you arrive early or late to the challenge? Notice how I'm stating things largely out of my control, not whining about ghost hits, or lack of controlling the ball on the hood etc.. That's scripting. Been playing for a while and I've noticed these awkward little things that logically don't make sense. It's not as egregious as FIFA, but the scripting still exists.
