If I'm gonna spend a lot of money on an exhaust mod, I'm gonna want to notice a LOT of difference in sound. That said, the Roush option is what I want. Besides, I hate the neighbors im my parent's neighborhood. I'm going to take great pleasure in annoying them. I'm not one of those show-off idiots, but I am indeed a passive aggressive troll.

@@captaincobra4578 Not to add, any neighbor that owns a Harley w/dumps on it. No-one seems to complain about them nor, do they complain about all the trucks w/loud mufflers/exhaust. I'm like, 'Yes, this is that Mustang with the loud exhaust! Go back to bed and dream about owning one!' 🙃 😆

I have had the borla s type on my car for years. Trust me guys. They sound really good. They are about a medium I’d say in sound from catless long tube being the extreme and stock muffler being the quietest. Also borla just sounds quality without the cheap raspy sound.

Well, the drone goes along with the loudness and materials from what I've experienced. It depends a while lot on your setups.

I have the pypes one on my 4.0 with an X pipe and it's pretty good sounding but when you get on the freeway at 70 you barely hear a thing

Not bad choices but my personal favorite exhaust setup for an 05-10 GT hands down is BBK longtubes to a BBK off road X to FR500S mufflers. Sounds amazing and gives great power gains when tuned accordingly. It would definitely be considered an “extreme” exhaust setup but the sound is classic mustang. A close second is Stainless Works longtubes and X pipe with SLP Loudmouth. Again, very aggressive/powerful exhaust note and good power gains but nearly twice the cost of the first setup I mentioned.

Thanks for the awesome video Justin. I have Borla ATAKs on my ‘05 stang with a magnaflow x pipe with cats and bbk short tube headers. Can you do a video on some LT kooks headers for the 3v? I’d love to swap out my bbk for some of these. 👊🏻

KOOKS long tube headers with high flow catted X pipe, I had SLP loudmouths, car sounded great. Decided to go with the roush... sounds almost stock at idle and under 3500 RPM. Not worth even 300, stick to an axle back. Louder and cheaper

I’m running arkrapovič on my 07GT and sounds really good. sadly it costed an arm and a leg and it’s discontinued now. Hope one day akra would do an Exhaust again for a mustanf

Thats why I never buy premade exhaust systems(unless I find a good deal used). I paid 400$ to get my catback fabricated at a muffler shop. And I believe it was one of the more pricier places, I probably could of got it cheaper somewhere else but I paid a bit more because they do good work.

@@Chimi1993 Yes, custom catback. Normally they will take your car and put it on a lift, from there you can show them exactly what you want. You can have them mimic the factory routing with larger diameter pipe. Or if your just looking for better sound, order some mufflers from amazon and have them install those. I did both and they charged me $400. Check my channel to hear my exhaust setup.

Justin/AM I have a 2005 with a supercharger, hot rod cams and full length long tubes, I am currently running Borla Tourings and love the deep tone but want to try something different with out being much louder. I know the tourings are one of the quietest mufflers, what would you suggest?

Best exhaust is 2 18/24in glass packs stuck right on the end of the H-pipe with turn downs on the end of the GP.

Hey justin, was wondering what kind of exhaust systems improve the most power instead of just stand. Cat backs are bigger power adders then axle backs? And im guessing long tube headers because more flow, also what kind of mid pipes would be better X or H

Catbacks really aren't going to be big 'power adders' per say. Long tubes along with a free flowing mid-pipe will certainly help more in that regard. The old rule of thumb is X-pipe will help with bigger top end HP gains while the H-pipe will help with more low end tq. Good luck and happy modding! -Justin

True but what is generally at the heart of most cat backs, mufflers or a resonator right? Unless it’s straight pipe all the way out (muffler delete) I guess what I’m saying every cat back I’ve owned there has been mufflers, that’s all brother......
