When I saw Bam Rodriguez give Sor Rungvisai the beatdown, I knew he was special.

I disagree with Mario on the weight issue in boxing. Like he said himself other sports are doing it right. Haney steps in the ring at 165. You can't say everyone is doing it when Jo Jo Diaz, George Kanmbosos, Vasyl Lomachenko and Regis Prograis are clearly not stepping in at 165 and are obviously smaller. Then the Industry puts him on P4P lists when he hasn't even fought anyone his own size yet. The sport has credibility issues that other sports don't.

I highly recommend “the harder they fall” it was the last movie that Humphrey Bogart ever made and it’s still extremely relevant in todays boxing landscape. I think Steve and Mario would greatly appreciate a movie about a boxing reporter who’s promised his biggest break in his career

Valenzuela looked like he's been watching tapes of Lomachenko because he was getting punching angles on Colbert and moving both his hands and legs. I thought he just not punching enough in the first fight. Yes, he was stalking but not letting his hands go allowing Colbert to win the lulls in the fight. He also kept his chin down this time around. He had this habit of keeping his chin high in the air which was a really attractive target for a puncher. As for Bam, the fight against Cuadras was a surprise but the demolition of Sor Rungvisai was a real eye opener. The way to beat Bam is to turn with him and not allow him to get punching angles. Christian Gonzalez gave him a rough fight because he was eliminating those angles and was tall and long enough to hit Bam at a distance when Bam thought he was out of punching range but really wasn't. Edwards was quick enough but didn't have the reach to hit Bam at a distance. He couldn't move all night without getting fatigued so he elected to stand and fight with Bam. It didn't work and the ending was inevitable. A fight with Estrada would be great. I believe a fight with Nakatani should be avoided. I believed Nakatani was the best flyweight of them all but he moved up to super fly and now is going up to bantamweight. Nakatani is tall and long with great footwork and has real punching power. He's the only one in the near future who can beat Bam convincingly.
