It’s really cool to hear from a pro being honest about fishing and being so simplistic and not trying to sell you something although I’m a huge mega bass fan always have been lol. Thanks Randy love the channel
You must be kidding, that was a Zoom commercial. It is his sponsor so I don't hold it against him and he probably does use them there free. Why use a Zoom chunk when Berkley makes the exact same trailer but with scent?
SC guy here. I found the Zoom Fat Albert grub (green pumpkin) about a year ago. About the only bait I throw now. Simple, compact but with a swimming action.
I love Zoom products. I guess my favorite is a 6" green pumpkin lizard. I have started using a lot of the Zman TRD stuff too, still in green pumpkin though.
Zoom has so many good ones.. #1 for me has to be a zoom finesse worm in GP I cant even count how many fish I've caught on that worm its unreal dont seem to matter what fishery in at eather they work an caught them all big an small. Thanks randy love the content!
Didn’t expect those 3... would of bet money a super fluke was on there. Here’s my top 5 because 3 isn’t enough. 4” dead ringer, super fluke, 6” lizard, uv speed worm, and ol monster
Keep the videos coming! I heard you mention using an EWG hook for the zlinky. Do you have problems with your hook up percentages when using an EWG bc the hook point is in line with the eye? Going over the hooks you use for your soft plastics would be a good video!
I think there are many better options from other manufacturers that are extremely similar but I like them better. Especially on bottom. As a floating worm I can’t imagine using anything but a trick worm.
I have a lot of success with a jerk jerk pause method, they almost always hit it on the pause. U can change ur pause time to see what they like. Also wacky a trick worm, has some really cool action & catches em.
i have such a tough time trying to t-rig the baby z hawg because the neck is so thin. I can't get it to sit on the hook properly. it's an excellent swim jig trailer though!
Hey Randy. Thanks for the videos. I'd like to ask a question, if you don't mind. I fish in Georgian Bay and water clarity is all over the place. When do I need to show a strong profile (like black and blue) and when do I want to dip a tail in chartreuse or someting? Low visibility fishing can be counter intuitive and I am having trouble with it. Would you help me please? I would be grateful. Thanks Randy. Lots of love from Canada! (That's right folks, we catch bass up here too!).
Randy, I have a question for you. I am wondering about a zoom super fluke color. I have done well fishing mud lines using a chartreuse with silver flake Fluke as a chatter bait trailer. I have owned one pack ever because I can’t find the color anywhere.. The regular chartreuse are everywhere but not with silver flake. Do you know if they still make it? If so can you tell me where to get some. Preferably online. Thanks
I wish Zoom made the Zlinky in the color Scuppernong. I love the Scuppernong color and love stick baits, but have a hard time finding any stick baits in that earth worm brown color. I can find Scuppernong in all the size U-tale worms, but not in the stick baits.
I love super fluke, but I have an issue with bass swallowing it and getting hooked in the throat. I end up cutting the hook and hope the fish swims to live another day.
Zoom opened in 1977 by the way. I also love the speedcraw, trick worm, super fluke, and finesse worm by zoom. They do make some phenomenal soft plastic baits!
On the Zlinky, when wacky rigged, do you swap to have the lighter color facing the bottom of the lake in dirtier water and the more natural color of the bait facing the bottom of the lake when the water is cleaner since it's a two-color bait?
#IntuitiveAngling Have you tried that zoom stick bait in the 4 inch? Was wondering how it compares to the yum dinger 4 inch. Try the 4 inch on a short carolina rig, I'm telling you, you won't regret it! I have caught some monster smallys on that rig on wheeler, pickwick and wilson lakes all year long!
There's nothing that zoom makes that isn't good. That tip you gave on the stick bait is money if people listen to your tips. I have one rod dedicated to that presentation all year and I adjust color, size, etc for the situation.
