You can follow the 3 R's, but he is right. Prospect from within, those who are sold themselves. Most trainers overlook one tool for retention and that is to follow up in the pm. Set aside time each night between 6-8pm to follow up after the days session. Stay squarely in their thoughts. R3- Retention. Show that you have a personal interest in their well being, other than just being a "great trainer". They will think about your needs, and refer others. Too busy? Hired qualified, perhaps newbies, to do the follow up so that questions may be answered in an intelligent manner. Pay a base wage plus $ per contact. That may overcome the " I can't go home with them" problem. Just a thought from an industry dinosaur! LOL.

I felt as though you were speaking directly to me. I know the anatomy and physiology of the human body, but I suck so badly at making my clients tick. My biggest success has come from those clients who has the mindset to work hard and change. Therefore all they have to do is follow the plan. But those who need that extra push, I try but fail miserably. And so I feel as though I'm missing out on many opportunities

Good! Know you know what you need to fix. Keep working on your leadership and coaching skills and soon you will be able to help those clients. And let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

Love this video! Would love some tips on the consultation process for 1-on-1 leads. What do you try to gather from the person apart from their fitness goals etc.

Keep in mind the different personality types of the people you'll have coming in. The clients who are 100% committed to getting in shape will be easy to close. The ones who feel insecure will take a little more effort. In this case, you have to dig deeper to let them realize this is the right decision for them. Ask questions like "why do you want to get in shape?", "Are you happy with the way you look and feel?"

Bedros, I follow your tips everyday and it has helped my studio grow. My question is how do we word our ads? know face book has a senitive wording system. Anything helps
@MarketingFitness101
@MarketingFitness101 6 лет назад
Funnily enough, for FB ads, the words don't matter nearly as much as the image. The image you use is what grabs attention and prompts people to click on your link. Just include your key information and call to action along with a strong image.

I could be wrong, but I think Joseph is referring to the idea that Facebook will automatically reject an ad that has words like "weight loss" or "diet" in them.

Bedros firstly thank you for all you do and share. I'm from South Africa and run a pretty successful 8 week challenge in 2 of my gym in one city. I'm wanting to start building foundations to in future franchise. At the moment I run the challenge for 8 weeks get few hundred entries 2 classes a week. And do 5 challenges a year. Should I change my structure and do monthly memberships and classes everyday rather than just having the 8 week challenge.. 2 classes a week structure or should I do both and if both how do I add a book a class structure or week/month package without effecting the 8 week challenge. The goal is franchise so any advise where to start. Thank you God Bless

If you want to scale your personal training business, make a bigger income, and impact even more lives, you should set up monthly memberships. That way, you have recurring income every month and you don't have to put the sales hat on every time that 8 weeks is up.

Bedros my question is that when I am getting great reviews from past clients and current clients about the results they are getting but they choose to not continue due to the prices set by the gym I work for how can I use the gyms current email list to build the know, like and trust factor when everyone else uses it to just pitch, pitch, pitch?
@MarketingFitness101
@MarketingFitness101 6 лет назад
The way you build the know, like, and trust factor is by sharing your authentic self with your clients and being open with them. Start sending out more value based content like workout, motivation, and diet tips every week to build rapport.

@@MarketingFitness101 For the City of Carrolltons' standards, fine. For my standards, medicore. I want to turn it into the MECCA of South Carrollton. I am blessed to have no overhead, no repair fees, no need for building insurance, and they manage my money. I just purrchased a prowler yesterday, and spoke with my liaison this morning about adding a portable ring that can be removed after our workouts, since the rroom is also used by patrons. I am addding a $5.00 incentive as well. Each youth orr adult that refers a friend or familyl member will receive a $5.00 gfit card for once thet have purchased a month of worrkouts. It's a start.

You can always start with your inner circle. Then get some click funnels going to draw people into your programs. As long as you have the drive, passion, and expertise to train people, you'll find clients. Share your authentic self, get on social media, and market your services like no one's business!
