@@Louzahsol Probably because they're car guys... like normal people. When we get a call for shots in an area you have to treat it with caution no matter how obvious or unlikely it seems on first dispatch.
I love how chill the cops are, if you had a backfire like that over here in Switzerland you'd probably be shot on the spot for disturbing the neighborhood :D
@@EmyrDerfel Not really. But sure, keep on thinking they shoot black people for no reason on the streets every day in the USA. Facts and statistics say otherwise.
Rob: „that’s the small engine. It doesn’t have that much hp.“ Cops: „how much hp does it have?“ Rob: „a thousand!“ As if it was the most normal thing in the world
"The other ones we have are twice as powerful as this" "How much horsepower is this one?" "Oh like a thousand" Those cops must have thought you were nuts😂
Lmfaoo fr. And the ken block line 😂 they must’ve thought he was like one of those bs ricers bragging about their civic, but the fact that everything he said is true makes it so great
Rob, probably not going to see this comment, but in reference to your "I wish they made a vacuum system" for the coolant system. They do, and it is worth every penny if you have a hard to "burp" system.
Thumbs up so he sees this! At 24:56 you can see the bracket flexing at WOT, please adjust the stop on the pedal or make one before the cable or bracket makes a bad situation. Nice welds Rob, cheers.
@@emmanuellehuu8818 The throttle cable holder isn't supposed to be what limits pedal travel, the pedal is supposed to have a "pedal stop" as the commenter originally said at WOT
Rob damn. Look up “air lift” it literally makes a vacuum to check cooling systems for leaks. You can pull a vacuum, check for leaks, and then fill all with one tool
From what I’ve seen others do, to get the cool colors out of titanium a trick is to rub the piece down with a little WD40 & then apply heat. Love the vids!
Cops pulled up to possible gun shots, not knowing what they are getting into. It could have been a situation where they were shot at and would have to end someone's life or it could have been the end of one of their lives....and they stumble on Rob and his cars. It was nice to see you invite them into the shop to see the cars and take the time to talk with them.
Its been a beautiful journey watching Rob go from not having a clue but willing to learn everything to now becoming a journeyman fabricator and tuner with all the toys at his disposal to fab it up.
Just picked up my first s5 T2 a few months back. Been my dream car since I was in high school. Got some good work done to it but needs a little more to be perfect. The other night I was letting it warm up before taking a friend home and I got the cops called because it's got a 3" single exhaust. Felt kinda good lol. Love your work and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Rob you are the epitome of a car guy. So excited, even when the cops are there, Showing off as much knowledge you have learned throughout the years. This video is just amazing! I cant wait to see what the future holds for the 3, and 4 rotor!
Put the o2 sensor on a relay that’s only active when the car is running, otherwise it can kill the 02 sensor when the condensation hits it. Also you can’t realistically use the o2 sensor for start up fueling, it’s all guess and check before it gets running
I remember my RX-8 doing that one day, Scared the crap out of me because the pressure of the backfire kicked up a shitload of dirt all over the back of my car. That was fun. 😂 Also, Vaccum fillers are actually pretty cheap on Ebay, and it pays for itself pretty quickly. I've done a handful of radiator jobs on friends cars, and it's such a great tool to have.
You can use electrolysis in order to color titanium in a uniform color, depending on the voltage you put it will change the color of it. It has amazing results, when you heat it up with an torch, it will have a lot of colors unless you have a nice pulse to distribute the heat.
@@trashymx533 even as "a Volvo guy" i must say that i really like Saabs, a friend had a 900, I was sort of tempted to buy it of him when he sold it, but a unemployed teenager with 3 cars in Sweden wouldn't have been ideal. Also Saabs are expensive to insure in Sweden (for us males younger than 25), all this f***ing equality bulls*** but us boys have to s*cker up and pay more, I'm sure it would never be tolerate if it was the opposite.
Hi Rob. I ordered a shirt back on Oct 6.. Still have not received the order. I've tried reaching out via insta and the shops email to no prevail.... please help
Just recently got my own 88 rx-7, its a vert. I too dream of doing many things to it. Thanks for enticing the rotary bug on me to bite harder than it already was
Ahhhh, the cat was making friendly communication with you (it stared at you and blinked). If you stare back and blink, it will know you're all good. You can get a good blinking conversation going with them if you give it time.
