Yeah, House Celtigar were a very low house in Valyrian society so weren't really respected. The Targaryens and Velaryons weren't majorly powerful either in Valyria but still way more than the Celtigars
Lord Bartimos Celtigar only appeared in the last episode of HotD but dropped the heaviest quote of Season 1. "Your cause holds a power that has not been seen in this world since the days of Old Valyria."
The House didn't exist before the Doom so I didn't count and yeah they went extinct. Harrenhal was given to Aegons master of arms around a century after the Doom so his family (great grandparents) wouldve survived the Doom but not necessarily
@@devjadav2902They descended from Old Valyria but the House itself didnt exist in Old Valyria. Didnt get founded until around 100 years after the Doom of Valyria. Also they went extinct fairly quick so I didnt add them to the short
Targs arrived in Westeros like 200 years before the Doom and built Dragonstone to establish regulated trade between Westeros and Valyria. They never lived there though, the Targs themselves visited Dragonstone sometimes as a sort of summer house and to oversee and manage the port that was run by their slaves/employees/servants. 12 years before the Doom is when they moved their entire wealth and house there permanently on account of Daenys the Dreamer's premonitions.
Yeah Aegons master at arms on Dragonstone was given Harrenhal and created House Qoherys. I didnt include them because they went extinct fairly quickly and House didnt technically survive Valyria because it didnt exist when Valyria fell
Shout out to the Celtigars. Stayed Rich, rather secluded, and not too over the top in everything. Also, the Rhogare's also count, but they like House Qoherys died out.
@HouseofLore27 True. Surprised they never tried marrying with the others every now and then. Those 3 could've all kept a trio of Valyrian houses to rule Westeros, especially considering they've often been next to the Targaryens on the Small Council's throughout history. Even before the Conquest, they were doing what House Velaryon was also doing at the time, albeit not to the same extent, and both swore fealty to the Targaryens, as their Dragonlord House
Because the Celtigars are a fairly weak house in both Valyria and Westeros. They would be marrying down significantly. With the Velaryons, they were very powerful with the best fleet in Westeros, so they married them a few times
Yep. House Rogare have Valyrian descent, but house Haen don't. There are many Valyrian houses but most didn't exist until after the Doom so I didn't count them.
@@HouseofLore27 I think Haen too just, check again. If Rogare status was Similiar like Velarion in Valirya, Haen Probably similiar like Celtigar if i see Haen was more higher status than Saan Family. 🤔 or like you said they/House Haen was just like House Qoheris who was made after the doom of Valirya 😄.
I was just gonna say in the book they say they came with the Targaryen I think they married into the of the stormlands family after the field of fire battle and took on the stag sigil as his own
@@johnnysarceno-guzman5085 Yeah. Orys fought the Storm King Argilac Durrandon and killed him. He then married his Argilacs daughter and took his lands titles and sigil
House Baratheon was formed after Orys take all of House Durrandon. But in video he just talk about the House who was Formed before the doom of Valirya & It is correct for they who stay in Westeros.
Nope. The only other Valyrian house was House Qoherys. But its was made after Aegons Conquest. Didn't survive the Doom and didnt last long enough to make this list
@@HouseofLore27 I think that if you are really optimistic you can count Baratheons as well. With Orys being half Targaryen and propably lesser noble since he had surname.
I mean to be fair, it's up to you how you read it considering it's a book lmao. I personally read it as Celtigar with a C sound rather than an S but the TTS software was being a buggar so I left it
