The 3 Ways Pros Will Counter Augustus | Hero Wars Dominion Era 

Augustus actually ends up being another Aurora counter! Aurora actually has very low magic defense, since she uses her rainbow halo to absorb/reflect magic damage. Augustus will do pure damage to her right from the start, and so will the rest of the mages on the augustus team. Satori + Augustus might be a nice combo now to counter Aurora. Satori was always good against dodge, but now the damage done to Aurora won't be reflected back since it is pure damage. It is also important to remember that if Sebastian ults, any magic defense decrease that Augustus has stacked with his abilities will be removed, and then also blocked for a while. So if you were doing pure damage to a team only because you lowered their magic defense, and then Sebastian on enemy team ults, you will be back to doing magic damage. Some people might actually start leveling the magic defense on Isaac in the future, since now mages can be turned into pure damage dealers more easily. Red artifact weapon on Orion + Augustus is basically pure damage mages from the start until the enemy can get a magic defense weapon up themselves. There are basically no heroes that have enough magic defense to block an early MP artifact weapon. I do not like the big shift into pure damage damage dealers that has happened ever since the introduction of Iris. Pure damage used to be small and/or damage over time, to balance the fact that it ignored armor/magic defense. But after Iris was introduced, there has been a lot heroes that have been added, reworked or upgraded to do massive pure damage hits, like Kayla, Heidi or Galahad. Pure damage was manageable previously because it was small, but it is starting to get out of hand. I'm not saying we should remove pure damage, but currently it is getting too easy to just ignore all the investment people have done into armor and magic defense on their heroes

Great video, Charlie! I 100% agree with all your points. I'm looking forward to Augustus (didn't pre-order), I'll level him up to max, altho not in hurry for that - might take some weeks; Meanwhile - I'm not worried at all about countering him. I have a large variety of teams that I can set up. One big problem for Augustus, as well as with almost any new released hero = no additional skins, and he's extra squishy.

Silence won't stop Gus. Most of his damage is from his basic attack and his skills affecting that are passives. It even explicitly says "this skill is not stopped by Silence"

Hey Charlie, just for me to know if its different. i heard that Osh has 80k magic penetration, so it does not matter at all if you level your isaacs magic defense for the Osh fight.

My other times i did check your channel was "How to defeat lvl 160 Lara croft event boss" After 17 minutes watching you fighting him the vids did end on "i dont know how to kill him for now" and the other vid was about new skins , you said Iris , aidan new skins was shit, and everybody on comments said you wrong,. Bro please try to be more serius and less click bait, if you make a video about how to counter August test in fight and give real teams combos vs some combos, don´t start to say this hero have magic defense artifact and this hero stuns, becouse we didnt saw a good team vs some August teams working here.

This game is betting so boring. The new hero hasn't even been really out, apart from for those who always spend serious real Money in the game, and people already know all the ways to beat it, so, what is the point of leveling it up at all???

I haven't tried but possibly dorian - lara - isaac(monkey) -seb- rufus will be enough. Most dante tanks teams seem to be killing him before being useful. Its gonna be probably an end game hero like lara.

Like always I feel scammed after watch your vids : "3 ways to counter August" Then you talk about stuns, magic defense and slow speed and you show 0 combos who really can win August teams, so it is like say nothing, we need training fights and see reallity, not talk without tryed it.
