As a theatre director with 30 years experience, I beg to differ...strongly. The acting is first rate. They have exceptional focus, convincing characterisations, very good comedic timing, convincing accents, and excellent intonation, volume and understanding of the script. Also, this particular play is a very difficult one to stage and perform. I've read the script and seen the London Westend production and to get to this final stage with a worthy production is to be commended.
@@stpu22 Exactly. As a high school actress, I think they did pretty good. We just did this play as our fall show, but with a huge cast, not four characters. Our director's claim was that it was too distracting what with the on stage costume and set changes, so we had way more people and more set pieces to make it overall better. I think that in comparison with our actors, including myself, they did great. Not gonna say they're better than us because we are multiple timed Texas State UIL OAP Champions, and we are a pretty small town, only 4A.
@@stpu22 I agree It was quite good. I just wanted more range in the car scene. It didn’t feel like they were panicking. I feel this plays humor benefits from very over the top comedy and more would have been good, just so that each scene is interesting and consistent. That being said they are clearly talented actors and it’s really rude to just call it terrible.
