I have been in this shop for 48 years. Occasionally, he cares about my cat and my work. His hobby is fishing, and he sometimes enjoys fishing on his own boat. As a friend, I'm very happy to be introduced to him on RU-vid. thank you! !!
I’m watching not so much for the food, but for the perseverance of this 76 year old gentleman. He inspires me in so many ways…The vast majority of people in this world have a longing to feel appreciated, productive and needed. Especially at an elderly age. I don’t know if he knows it, but he has accomplished that. If I get to live to his age, I hope to continue doing something that will brighten someone’s day. Wishing you many smiles and a wonderful day 🙏🏼❤️
Wow this is incredible! I actually visited this little shop 3 years ago on my trip to Fukuoka! The moment I saw the thumbnail with his smiling face I could recognize it was this exact place. On that day I just decided to visit this park with my friend, and we noticed this little hot dog shop and thought, " huh, that's a little strange seeing this way up here, but we'll try it out." We ordered a hamburger hot dog, and it was so tasty! Then we hiked, hung out and chatted a bit at a playground, and took pictures of the natural scenery. It was definitely one of my most memorable experiences on that trip!
Huge respect for the man for not stopping considering he's way beyond retirement age plus the fact that he's known for being the 3rd best hotdog shop in Japan.
maybe the problem is that retirements in Japan depending on the career and timing are veeeeery low,not enough even to pay just for medical bills, its work until you die situation.
@@yukiotakata Lol try going to US or other countries and they're much worse off, it's not a Japan's problem it's everywhere except Japan has one of the best social safety net in the world. You Japanese liberal democrats are just too soft from living a comfortable life. Also working and staying active is why Japanese have the longest lifespan, after all it's all about health first and you're gona cognitively decline severely as soon as you stop working past 65.
I was born in 1972. This man has been running his business throughout my whole existence. I have a whole lot of respect for him for still working. I wonder if his children or grandchildren are going to continue is legacy.
Age is not the barrier, if you are passionate of service and serving then no one can stop you. Japanese people are in next level of evolution. My wish is if I have enough money I will one day visit Japan.
save 5k for 2 weeks vacation in japan. 2k for travel fare, 1400 for hotel and $110 for meals and pocket money per day. family mart for quick snacks and meals will usually set you back $7-15. Also plan accordingly for train fare 🤣.
They should build a statue of him on this big park! Nth but respect for the dedication, care and passion this man has. He could have been retiring and enjoying life but yet he is still here alone, making delicious food for ppl! Truly awesome and so wholesome! I wish God will bless this man with nothing but eternal health! Thank you for covering the story of this man!
I really admire japanese people when it comes to work. They take pride on what ever they do. I hope he live's 100 more years so the next generation will have a chance to experience eating the food
I really admire his hardwork and dedication towards his job. Even though he is 76 years old now he still wants to work for another 10 more years. May God bless him with good health and happiness always. I wish there is someone who could help him at his hotdog stand, at least he would feel less tired..
My Huge Respect For This Grandpa Even at this age he is working. It shows the age is just A number and no matter what age we are we can work. Im Truly inspired by him
Imagine being one of the kids that frequent the park with their parents and grew up coming back as an adult and patrons the same shop. That's his secret recipe of goodness in his food. Memories
Ask any line cook to watch this and they will have admiration for this man. It’s an odd thing to notice but kitchen staff can watch this and see the movements he has and be inspired. His movements are quick and deliberate which only comes about from years of cooking. It is poetic in a way to watch him cook. Thank you for sharing this video
He's definitely found happiness in serving good food to people and seeing them love it. Wishing him more years and wishing others to find the same happiness
