It does work, I've just made it now. The problem I had was that I placed a single block wrong then tested it, which caused all the blocks to be in the wrong place, I just manually replaced every block to the open position and it now works perfectly

Don’t attach a calibrated skulk sensor to it or skulk sensor. It will just mess it all up like place one where the leather is supposed to be. That’s gonna be a problem. I was watching another video but I did that so I just destroyed the entire thing and I’m gonna start over with a new one.

Same issue here. Edit: Go to 4:03 and make sure all blocks are the same. Seems I panicked before placing my bottom right floor block above the redstone torch.

You placed the observer the wrong way 2:09

It’s the lever repeater, if you lead it going directly into the block where it activates it will constantly refire the piston extender. Try setting it back a block or two and have the red stone line run directly into the activator block.

@TomcoTwo not exactly. I have a repeater coming out of both sides with levers in and out. Could be the prob?

Try it with just the lever on the dropper, for some reason it’s become weird if you link up somehting into it. Lemme know what happens and I’ll try find a solution

Im assuming jts a bug i guess, i kinda figured out the cause but the reason doesnt make any sense. I hooked up a t flip flop to it and it does actually work but only if i stand on the pressure plate for an extended period of time, which shouldnt matter at all since the only signal reaching it is from the t flip. Idk

Solution: Replace the Redstone repeater hooking to the lever. Mine works now. Although it’s been 2 months since you posted this, so I doubt it may help lmao

hey i know this might be late but i had the exact problem. i fixed it by setting the delay on the repeater to the right of the input block to 4 ticks. after that fix it still has a somewhat nice opening sequence and it works 100% so far. hope this helps!

Calibrated sculk sensors are great, but not for doors in my opinion, just because you are limited to activating, deactivating, throwing, etc. if you want your door to be safe from any mob walking about. :/

@@GlomusIridescens I think I understand what you’re saying and where you’re coming from, but not entirely. I actually wounded up figuring it out myself. It was a tedious process, but by using a lectern and book n quill, I calibrated the sculk sensor to only activate when I either ate food, equipped an item, or used a goat horn. Also surrounded it with wool in specific areas so it can only be triggered in the area where im entering/exiting my build. Its pretty neat, not having to take the extra bit of time to aim the cursor to flick a lever or press a button.

@@LPEREZEDENTE I thought of that, but didn't feel as though I wanted to perform such an action at my front door if I'm being pursued... but you bring up a good point, I never thought about how much easier it is to chomp on a carrot rather than aim my cursor when I'm running in the door. I think I'll change the lever to a sculk sensor with a delay, just need to gather more amethyst

The only geode we've found so far is near spawn across the ocean, so I suppose I'll run our friend in the realm some needed supplies and pick those up. I already mined out the undamaged blocks for the most efficient setup, so I think I'll have a few stacks waiting for me since he is active in the area but hasn't been shown quite yet. @@TomcoTwo I have this problem where every 2 button clicks it pushes the block up to the top, then when I click it on and off it happens again, the pattern is up, up then the problem is fixed for to clicks. Sorry if that didn’t make sense!

The sticky piston doesn’t hold onto the middle block when it goes down

@@noahstiles6254 I has this happen, I changed the direction of the observer next to the dropper below the obsidian block in the lower left hand corner.

are you on bedrock?

The redstone block and torches can't send power through a full block but they can send it through a piston, the obsidian is there because it can't be moved by pistons. Those pistons aren't there to act as pistons but simply as a block to transfer power through

How did you fix it?

It shouldn’t be unreliable, bedrock defo makes it harder to make it 100% reliable but this one is, how are you powering it? With a lever on the dropper or a repeater

@@TomcoTwoconnected a lever to the block above the dropper like you did in the video. I connected 2 levers to the same red stone line that goes to that block, I don’t know if that has something to do but I don’t think that should affect in any way cuz I never extend the signal with a repeater, it’s just like having 1 lever

If you remove all the repeaters and just go back to a lever on the dropper does it work 100% then?
