I've been working on developing a new strat for this run. -Develop nicotine tolerance so the two ciggies don't fuck you up. -Smoke a cig per beer mug, the rules don't specifically state you have to inhale so you could probably cheese it a bit by just blowing it right out. -Focus on chugging one beer (one half a mug) at a time before going to finish the cigarette. -For any high level runner, you could consider smoking the cigarettes through your nostrils to maximize efficiency, but this is a very risky strat. Overall the run can definitely be optimized but this is a breakthrough run for the community, time to start drinking beer.

You could get this time down massively if you keep adjusting your strategy. I have been chesting beers and cigs since I was about 15, I'm 30 now. If you're still open to suggestions then I have a few, if you follow these you will see insane improvements. :- Stand Up. Your bringing liquid back up because you are sat down and hunched forward. standing up and assuming good posture will help massively in sending the beer comfortably. Your stomach can take probably 6 cans of beer, but if your hunched over you reduce that capacity :- Beer Choice/ Temperature. Your choosing a light, pilsner-esque beer, that appears to be cold. Your asking for a bad time. You need to switch to an ale or a stout. I would seriously recommend you switch to either DOOMBAR or GUINNESS, these are the dogs of the pinting it quick world. Also, you're beer appears to be cold, don't do this, leave you're beer somewhere room temp. :- Form. You need to take as few swigs as possible and send them as deep as you can, the repetitive motion of swallowing is making it harder, bigger, looser swigs. It's not about forcing liquid down your neck, it's about letting it flow. Don't form a seal around the liquid and pull, keep the seal open and let your mouth fill up, then in relaxed motion, swallow. Advanced techniques exist like pouring the cream directly into your gut but that's akin to dark magic and devil's wok. If you want to go down that road then call the priest first and seek his advice. Important thing is you need to find the range where you're comfortable, and you are taking heavy swigs, this is how you drain pints quick :-Cig timing. Cigs make you feel full, and will relax you. I feel you may be hurting your time by lighting up after your first swig. I know you want to get them smoked as fast as possible, but by lighting up immediately you may be making it harder to actually physically drink. Maybe experiment with cig timings, personally I would focus on killing the first glass as fast as possible, catch my breath, then light up, quickly drain the cigs to half way, then get drinking the last glass. :- Cig Choice. Choosing a dryer cig brand will speed things up, but will be a heavier smoke. I understand that the regulations of the run call for some sort of standard. But maybe experiment will roll-ups. Here in the UK this run would almost certainly be ran with roll-ups since we don't tend to smoke cigarettes. At any rate, I would seriously recommend you switch to AMERICAN SPIRIT, both the rolling tobacco and the cigarettes burn faster, but are a heavier smoke. :- Mindset. Pints flow better when you are looking forward to them, You'd perform here at your best if you hit this at about 5:25 pm, the international pinting hour. If you know your pints are getting drained during the ancestral hour, you will sync your mind up with all the great pinters who came before you, and all the lads worldwide who love the pint, then you can draw form the pool of energy we all sip from, and the pints will vanish. Also, coming in dry was a good plan, but the empty stomach hat, i'm not convinced. A lot of beer's been sent back up that's been given to an empty stomach. I would recommend at least a couple pieces of bread before. Just to help your chances of keeping it down Good luck our lad, get those pints boy

Pro tip, the carbonation in the beer agitates when you gulp it down. Thats where all the foam comes from. You need to open the throat and get it down the hatch smoothly, that will reduce foaming and bloating/vomiting

in my personal opinion, smoking both cigarettes (double barrel style) before touching any of the beer (drinking only to soothe the throat) would be the most optimal. upon studying this run, your major setback was easily the cigs. you are able to handle the beer but the cigarettes are fucking with your stomach and are what i believe led to the yak. i would knock out the cigs as fast as possible, and then chug the beers. side note, i would pour the beers so they lose as much carbonation (pouring hard as fuck) as this, at least for me, makes it a lot easier to chug. beautiful run to start what i believe is going to be a great community of runners who continue to improve their times.
