r60 and r73 was fitted experimentally, nothing in active service, even in russian units. the Sagem Strix allow 1080p IR defintion, up to 25km human detection range. the Tiger is used as a passive system, and has radar and laser alert detector
the GshL-23 use the 23x115mm round, which has 40% less explosive effect than the 30x113. the frontal arc is only 130° not 220° and vertical is 12°/ -38°.
Attack chopper are only usefull when the enemy doesn't have decent AA defense and no jet fighters. when the choppers can move safely, the best creteria is to have more combat range. mi28 : 200km ah64 : 480km ka52 : 550km Tiger : 800km
I have to say that your missing what is the most advanced helicopter on the planet the AH-1Z Viper. Built upon a time tested platform it excels above its competition in the areas of avionics and payload.
@f39eagle2 i just figured that in with its apparent size, bulk, and flight behavior.. it seems to fly and maneuver in a little more sluggish manner than the Apache.
KA 50 black shark should be next to APACHE or first.refer speed, payload, agility,Killing ratio etc., ok weight is more engine also powerful. In my opinion atleast KA 50 is next to apache or may be at first.Nice demo video for all kind of (combo) combat helicopters.
@SilverTaurus22: The AH-64 wins against Mi-28N in India, the Europcopter & KA-52 aren't bad but not proven, i would choose the Mi-35, the newer Hind variant!
The Apache is actually much better, better armor, better optronic (Arrowhead is much better than Osiris or the one of the french Tigers). Apache can fire laser- and radar-guided Hellfire, Tiger only laser-guided and slow, wire-guided HOT 3, the Apache can also carry more weapons.
combat records and effectiveness are two different things. F22 has no combat record but is more performant than a f16 which still has better combat records same goes for HInd vs Tiger. whatever firepower, electronics, combat radius, agility, aise of maintenance, survalbitly. Tiger Outperform the MI24. only the ATE Mk3 can match it. .
there is nothing impressive in your video, it's even prove the fact that the Hind is heavy, with lot of mass, and lot of inertia, so has few reactivity in its movements. and in this video the HInd was not even armed, add weapons on pylon adn its became even less reactive.
ataka missile is globally inferior to Hellfire. no loal mode, no top attack, inferior penetration. bi-cannon 23mm turret have less az/el angle than western counterpart, so less effectiveness. the 30mm version is fixed on Hind, even less practical..
