Everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Special thanks to the creator of this map! Link to their post on the WorldBox Discord where you can download the map for yourself. / discord My other channel! / gregbrodudeman
I think the reason water tribe did so well is because you made them attractive and turned old age off. Meaning all the babies they made never died from old age.
They developed so fast because he turned off hunger. Look at their lands. They don't have anything to feed their population, but they have a vast territory to build houses.
Thats soo true the attractive trait with not getting old was overpowered and gave them the advantage from the start and wasn't fair for the other three
Watching this reminded me of an AtLA Fanfiction called Distorted Reality. Its even got a webcomic project depicting some of the scenes for it. Basically the Fire Nation wins and slowly starts their total conquering of the world, and Aang, having lost so many begins to lose himself as the Avatar. As such, his past lives, using their spiritual power, send Aang to an alternate time where the Water Tribe is the Water Nation, Aang is discovered in a volcano by a scarless powerless Zuko and good natured but still clever Azula while a waterbending Sokka with a scar over his left eye and evil manipulative Katara are the Prince and Princess of the Water Nation. There are many key differences between how the Fire Nation and Water Nation attempt their take over. While the Fire Nation is upfront about their cruelty and rule based on fear, the Water Nation hides behind a well crafted mask and chooses manipulation to keep the peace as they gain control, the mask they show to the public hiding the violence they carve through the world. It's quite similar to the differences between Firebending and Waterbending. Firebending is forceful and destructive in nature while Waterbending is fluid and unsuspecting, if you see a fire you know you need to snuff it out before it gets out of control, but water...you never know there's a problem until it's too late like flash floods and such.
"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My uncle used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Water Tribe attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them. Only he could stop the ruthless waterbenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Water Tribe is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, my father and the men of my nation journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Water Tribe, leaving me and my sister to look after our people. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads, and that the cycle is broken. But I haven't lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Avatar will return to save the world." - Zuko
Man it feels so wrong to end with -zuko Like the guy who is hunting the avatar for pretty much the whole show and almost killed him is saying that the avatar is the hope.
@@SucullentbutterNah bro, it sounds more interesting, in one universe, hunt the Avatar for his own honor, in another, guide the Avatar to the peace of the entire world.
it’s kinda funny; Id assume that most people-if tasked with choosing which water tribe between northern and southern were more likely to go down that route-would pick the southern water tribe
Gives earth kingdom the dragon slayer trait, but not the fire nation that actually did hunt dragons. Not giving airbenders the weightless trait is also something that bugged me. Giving only the waterbenders veteran trait is mind boggling. You gave it since they are fighting the fire nation, the nation that started the war on all countries, for some time, but not the fire nation itself???????
"UNCLE! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? WE ARE SIGNING OUT DEATH WARRANT, WE ARE IN WATER TRIBE TERRITORY! YOU ARE A FAT, LAZY-" -Zuko before a iceberg melted, revealing the avatar inside
gorg, the reason that nobody was building boats is because the need stone. note how the two kingdoms without boats had no stone buildings, nodes or mines ps i love your content keep ti up! *edit they need stone to build a dock sorry everyone
"And they lived in harmony with the other nations" Menawhile the water tribe preparing to make the fire nation's attack on the air temples seem like a party game
its bothering me more than it should, that there is no northern air temple on this map lmao also, whilst peaceful might be a crap trait, pacifist just makes them better at diplomacy, which might actually help them unite whith other air temples/avoid war with water and earth neighbors
It's weird how even though the game isn't lore accurate. You have the air Temple's not progressing and not fighting (even tho you didn't give them the pacifist trait), the northern water tribe is extremely strong, the fire nation biding their time and the south water tribe not leaving. All of these are very lore accurate
Usually the island nations develop faster because they have less space which means they develop more of their buildings, while continent nations develop slower due to them claiming more territory and developing a small portion of it. Overall the continent nations have the advantage in the long run, while island nations become weak unless they expand.
Gorg, in this game.. in order for kingdoms to unlock certain tech like Boats, they will need basis resources. If a kingdom isn't ever expanding via boat, they do not have stone available on their starter island.. Wood & Stone are the basics that they always need; then for more advanced tech and weaponry, iron and gold are required. (At least, this is what I noticed in my plays a pretty long while back, might've changed since then)
4 nations: WE DID IT, WE'VE FINALLY ACHIEVED WORLD PEACE Gorg: yeah i'm kinda worried cause... nothings really happening, i'm gonna speed things up a little bit more
I disagree with giving Fire Nation all the "evil" traits - a major part of the show is that no nation is inherently good or evil. The war happened because of a few evil men with power: Sozin, Azulon, and Ozai. Not an evil nation.
"We could make them Pacifist, but that would just make them lose" technically that's how the fire nation killed them all also, a little thing that could've improved the video: having 4 people from the four nations from the show. eg; Toph, Katara, Aang and Zuko
Ozai (in the show): "I am the ruler of the world." Ozai (in this video): "Ho crap... the Northern Water Tribe is invading the world ! I have to fight back !" Ozai (in the end of the video): "Pls don't hurt me."
And also have traits. I mean it would kinda affect the results. Tribals with the savage and cold resistance. And earth kingdom having the big and strong
Stones are an important resources that you should make sure every nation has if you want them to build boats otherwise they just won't build docks and boats. That's what happened to Eastern air temple and southern water tribe, more realistic in a way because not every nation would start on even footing but that's definitely something worth knowing
So in this version of Avatar my guess is that the Fire Nation never rose to the prominence it did, being repealed by the equally as aggressive Water tribe in this universe. The Avatar was born in the Western Air Temple instead of the Southern Air Temple. This unknown child was then frozen, during which time the Fire Nation intended to begin its conquest and attacked the Western Air Temple and committed a genocide of its people. The Water Tribe also began expanding. So this version of the Avatar wakes up in a world. They can still meet Katara and Sokka, who would be more or less the same due to the separation between the two tribes. Though this would make Arnook, leader of the Water Tribe, the main villain and his daughter the Moon Princess Yue likely an Azula type antagonist. Fire Bending being learned easier as the threat the Water Tribe poses means Ozai would be more willing to aid the Avatar, which means he could get the aid of Zuko much sooner or even Azula. The presence of Southern and Eastern Air Temples means the Avatar still could learn how to better control airbending if they need to. Ba Sing Se would likely be pretty much the same down to the "There is No War in Ba Sing Se" mantra. Toph would also still be around. This would also have implications for Legend of Korra. Basically imagine if Aang's successor was a Firebender. Especially when you consider that the Fire Nation likely views itself as winner the war since they claimed more territory and were on the cusp of victory with the war ending because of an internal government conflict. Now imagine that "Technically we won the War" mindset but then the Avatar, the nation's sworn enemy, dies and is reincarnated as one of you. Not to mention Korra being born in the Northern Water Tribe, probably growing up even more vain then they were in canon.
You could add that all northern water tribe (or kingdom at this point) are Bloodbending practitioner, maybe even Spiritbending with Yue connection to the Moon Spirit
The next Avatar would be from the Water Tribes so if they were from the North the Avatar could be their secret weapon or if in the South they could restore the balance due to the South's isolation from the wider world.
Korra can't really be considered canon. The show broke too many of the rules laid out in the original about bending and the avatar and if it was the concept of the avatar will die with her (what a crap avatar to leave off on, literally less mature than a 10 year old)
I like to think this is an alternate timeline where the Fire Nation struggled, while the Water Tribes excelled at bloodbending, giving them incredible combat power, and it's up to the other nations to unite and push back the Tribes.
Gorg: "i supposed them being a water nation meant they should have built boats first" Southern Air Temple and Fire Nation: heard that? We gotta destroy their boats, at any cost!
"Lets give the earth nation dragon slayer" Sozin: Am I joke to you? if you dont remember he started the tradition of killing dragons. hence their near extinction when after 100 years.
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Northern Water Tribe attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, she vanished. A hundred years passed and my sister and I discovered the new avatar. An Earthbender named Toph, and although her earthbending skills are great she still has a lot to learn before she’s ready to save anyone. But I believe that Toph can save the world. Basically Zuko, Azula, Toph, and Anng. But Anng isn’t the avatar.
I have been watching for so long and i love it once i got worldbox i thought no one liked it but this man made it his career i love youuuuuuu❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It looks like there's a lack of stone, and the northern water tribe was like the only ones to get some. SWT had zero stone, and without stone they only build like 6 houses
Leaves from the vine Falling so slow Like fragile, tiny shells Drifting in the foam Little soldier boy Come marching home Brave soldier boy Comes marching home The best song in my entire life it's so emotional and sad
I'm so glad I finished binging this show less than a week because it helped me so much of this video, and this video also helped me with the geography of the show, so win-win. Great vid man!
anyone else watching something finally happening to the east air temple for the first time in thousands of years as the videos ending hoping gorg would notice?
I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH And also there is 4 air temples maybe the People didn’t want to go in the area Oh they couldn’t stay there ok but where is Bumi he is the man maybe you should have named the leaders of the nations names like
I was thinking about it, and I’m surprised I have never thought of this earlier (nor have I heard anybody talk about it). The air nomads way of life make literally no sense. They are entirely vegan and pacifist but are also a nomadic people who’s only long term civilization is on the top of mountains. They can’t possibly have agriculture and they could not possibly be able to survive off of what little they could forage from the environment. Literally all nomadic peoples in history have gotten their food from hunting, stealing or taking from regions they have won in war.
A cool idea if you do another ATLA vid would be adding an “avatar” with the massive health trait, and when they die, add another to the next nation to continue the cycle.
I find it really interesting how the Western Air Temple started occupying the same part of the Earth Kingdom that the Fire Nation had started occupying at the beginning of the war in canon.
This isnt a alternate history its just what happened in the world 100s if not 1000s of years before the events of the tvshow, atleast its now my cannon :). Love your videos keep it up!
