This is exactly what I needed to hear right now! I was very down, very far from my dreams, discuraged and overwhelmed. Thank you so much, Brandon! God bless you!
Pastor, you’re absolutely correct- these insights given helped me today. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved the insights about stepping and receiving strengths, and your statement on “the edge”, Brendon. Thank you both!
Brendon my fear is rejection followed very much by procrastination. I trained as a CHPC and have let that certification lapse. Coaching calls me all the time. At times I wonder if I am just delusional or is God constantly whispering. I trained as an Occupational Therapist and I feel coaching is very much a natural progression. Thank you to you and Steven for this series ❤
This is so interesting especially the last half. I can see how in the past 1. Rejection was protection 2. The biggest blocks were often around people who wanted my labor but didn’t want me to “own my gifts” or be paid or get the credit for them and had no intention to give me higher and more visible space. Go back to #1. 3. Going towards what looked good on the outside and checked off all the boxes but didn’t pass the “little whisper” test. 4. Trauma that came from speaking up and getting abandoned. But I release that. It will not haunt me anymore. Who and what is for me is for me and who or what is not… is not. And that is protection. 5. Waiting to be recognized can be weaponized to control you. You are right, we must review and step into exactly what has already made us successful and follow the whispers of God.
We ZAP, Zoom in, Attach our identity to the problem, Procrastinate, pause, punish BUT we need to flip it. Attach the Spirit to the problem, don't take it personal, power up!
This is powerful! The idea that we can generate our own happiness by controlling our thoughts and actions is so empowering. Love the analogy of being a 'power plant' for joy. Thanks for sharing this .
