I really miss when they moved locations every 2 seasons.. it was one of the things that made this show truly amazing. Like that was always a pretty big selling-point whenever I would try to get my family/friends to start watching lol I mean I'm glad that both Fiji and the survivor production can kinda scratch each other's backs.. but I do really miss when the location played such a big part in the game and the whole season would somewhat revolve around that place and their culture, even most of the challenges would involve things specific to each culture and was usually quite informative and educational.
At the live reunion, when Jeff asked Jenna what her family thought of her getting naked for chocolate and peanut butter, she said they still loved her no matter what, but that they weren’t proud, and told her not to do it again. She directly said, at the reunion, she would never do it again. A couple months later, she poses nude in a magazine. With no food incentive this time, and very little financial incentive because she had just won the mil, the only logical reason would be for the publicity. Throughout the show, she came off as an entitled, spoiled, attention-seeking, brat who has been handed everything in life. Her actions post-show further confirm my opinions about her. Jenna’s win over Rob just leaves such a sour taste it’s hard to get over
UPDATE! Rob's "Kasey Kasem" dedication to Rodger is INTACT in the Paramount+ version of the show (I literally just watched it today) and it's an absolute CLASSIC.
4:47 so I knew about Jenna Morasca (And Jonny fairplay) being on TNA, and its awful of course, but actually its more interesting to look into the rabbit hole since her contract is considered one of the biggest flaws of TNA and not only that if I remember correctly she was part of the Main Event Mafia one of the most important stables of the time and she was the one giving them money. It's still amazes me that they really thinked it was going to work somehow
I'm not big into TNA, so I had to do some research and I still don't get what they thought the appeal would be in 2009. Maybe in 2003 or 2004 when she had just played, but 2009?
@@OnceUponAnIsland the tl:dr answer is : they were just desperate for ratings with big mistake after big mistake, even then the biggest problems were they were given like 500k in the contract and barely apeared on tv
@@OnceUponAnIsland I mean, to be fair, they brought in Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Vince Russo because TNA's owner was such a fan of them, so yeah...Hell, Spike TV even told her to fire Russo, and she hired him in secret against their wishes, lol.
Jenna Morasca vs Sharmell to this day is an iconic match between (the divas and knockouts fans) so iconic that it originated the phrase "it's giving Jenna vs Sharmell vibes" to describe a bad match between two female performers
Great content! I randomly decided to watch Season 37 because of Mike White and now here I am soaking up all the info! Also, love the Bible verses at the end. The juxtaposition to this man made show about nature and brutality just hits me.
I'd had never seen this season until a couple months ago. I had also decided to re-binge the Office a bit before starting the Amazon and saw Ryan make that reference the same night I had watched Joanna voted out 😂
Jenna's match was rated MINUS! FIVE! STARS! Listen to the Bryan & Vinny recap of the show, TNA Victory Road 2009. It's tremendous. Also, when she was hired and did an interview afterwards, she said the best part of being in TNA was they had cupcakes in catering.
Lots of memories from when I started following survivor. I always downloaded the episodes from the internet with the original audio. It was a lot of work back in the day. Because it was filmed in Brazil, some genius decided to show the episodes of this season dubbing years later on.a.variety channel on cable TV..A very bad dubbing. But still I watched some episodes.
🎶 He's a loser and he knows that that's a fact 🎶 "Cut! Stop the music!" Lmao Randy's audition is hilarious 😂 I can't believe they didn't take him that season
I kinda understand Matthew being comedian,he is just so funny even when he wants to be serious.I feel i kinda am simular to him, althought If I was in the game i wouldnt hold back ,this could even help you socially because people will not take you very seriously and trust you more(which kinda also happened with him).Currently my favourite Survivor player(have only watched until season 6 as a new viewer)
It will never not irk me that Jenna cried and got her letter, and then continued to tell the world how oppressed and mistreated she is by others bc she's beautiful. Yeah.. it totally looks like she has it pretty rough.
Oh Amazon. My favorite part is by episode 2 we already had a bigot saying homosexuality is and woman who doesn’t want the immunity idol for religious reason 😂 some of that didn’t age well at all
