Broccoli Sprouts ■ Buying seeds to sprout in filtered water rinses is a good practice toward self efficiency; it is my number one choice to sprout near a kitchen window light. M Waltham 29 Broccoli for Sprouting & Microgreens (Brassica oleracea), Non-GMO, Heirloom Variety, RAINBOW HEIRLOOM SEED CO.
@@kellyweinheimer342 Kelly - My favorite is a glass jar; mason jar size quart. ■ There are plastic strain tops designed for sprouting that fit the large mouth/lid jars; these tops may help in rinse daily. But, I am sure any glass would work and have a fine grid strainer system over the top of jar while changing out the water rinse to keep the sprouts clean and hydrated. Kits/equipment are available, and I believe I have heard of using cheesecloth as a bag to grow sprouts inside that is hung and soaked when needing routine hydration. M
@@kellyweinheimer342 Kelly - You are welcome!! ■ Rainbow Heirloom Seed site has excellent selection and practical growing methods! I have used their seeds for years and now on my 2nd pound. The best usage is to harvest promptly and not later due to browning. I have not done this, but a staggering of two or three jars planted on different days about 2 days apart would provide a steady harvest instead of a 5 day cycle. M
Please consider a video that helps us know what to do in everyday situations ie. Diarrhea, upset stomach, possibly headaches. Personally I need to know how to deal with substances that cause me to have very loose stools. I react to sulfites, onions, garlic and peppers. I try to avoid all of them but sometimes have problems. It feels like my body is rejecting the contents of my digestive system.
Dr Li, could I use this green leaves to make jelly to help my rheumatoid arthritis? Scientific name: Tiliacora triandra Family: Menispermaceae Kingdom: Plantae. Thanks

Is there a type/ brand of green tea and matcha that we should be using. I’m worried some might not be as strong or good for me. I’ve just had a full mastectomy due to breast cancer diagnosis and have been told by a geneticist that I’m at risk of stomach, pancreatic and ovarian cancer. Have cut out red meat and dairy, had already cut processed foods, processed carbs and most sugars. I enjoy green tea already and have 2 apples a day, citrus, berries and also lots of leafy greens, legumes and veges.
I love lemon, orange, tomatoes and pineapple, but all my joints (rheumatoid arthritis) is hurting every time I ate these fruits. Am I allergic to it? is there anyway to improve my joints, so it not hurting me when I eat these fruits? Thanks Dr Li
Your gut can heal. There are several ways to heal any gut starting with old remedies like raw cabbage and or celery juice. Balance or rid pilori, l- glutamine. So much info out there are gut now including which probiotics to take when. Everyone is different but it can be done. It’s the limited diet and lack of gut bacteria that causes some of 5he problems. Eating lots of small quantities of of huge varieties helps. Oxylates and lectins are some money making non scientific hope a few influencer doctors have made fame and money from. Organic raw veggies heal, especially cruciferous and even tomatoes. Read the science, don’t spread the hype. Dr li knows
Yes people like myself with IBS can’t handle beans and cruciferous vegetables. I can eat broccoli florets and sprouts though, so that’s what I do. Instead of eating beans I eat tree nuts. Luckily I am not allergic to them! And a handful of nuts doesn’t seem to bother my stomach.
Where am I going wrong? I can't seem to download the "Budget Friendly Foods" using the link provided. I enter my email and first name, hit subscribe but get nothing to download. Is there something else I should be doing?

I limited processed foods and am in remission without medicine from Ulcerative colitis. I'm struggling with diverticulosis though. Is there a certain food to help with that?
Just found this site not sure if I will continue, nobody talks about the carb count in all these. Just do with lupus at 66. I personally don’t feel well with too many carbs
Thanks Dr. Li for these informations, but, I can't seem to be a le to download the free download of the budget friendly recipe, kindly assist please, thanks.
Have you tried cutting out all processed foods and soy based products, taking enteric coated probiotic suppliments, and eating freshly fermented foods - not the canned kinds- of sauerkraut and kimchi, yoghurt and organic apple cider vinegar? I wouldn't claim that it's a cure or that it would help everyone, but I have found these changes to have been very helpful in working through digestive issues.
The blue zone people don't have to go to work every day.Sit at a conference table with other people. When you have gas from the beans not good. They also don't sit in cubicles next to other people either
Cook lightly. I use aroma as a guide. As soon as you start to get slight aroma rising from the food when you're standing near the pot, it's time to remove from heat. Food should still be firm and chewy not mush.
