Great video Sanjee! Loving that lighting setup!! I think Commsec definitely has the edge in features over NAB Trade, although they have the same basic features. Maybe that helps explain the small price difference in brokerage between the two?
Hi Jeffrey, ETFs like VAS and A200 are a great area to get started with. You can find about them here: moneysmart.gov.au/managed-funds-and-etfs/exchange-traded-funds-etfs
Thanks for the vid. Been using comsec for years and was unaware of all of these great tools. What optiom/etf would you use to short the asx200 Assuming a incoming crash?
Can you tell me, if i am selling a stock and I want to get out fast. What is the best action? sell at market or put in a low price? Tips and tricks please Ken
omgsh Thank you so much for these tips! I've just gotten into commsec recently and your videos have been super helpful. I was just wondering if you or anyone reading this can recommend where I can learn all these terms/attributes in the stock screener section .. such as Price-earnings to growth (peg). On the side note, do you think these attributes are super helpful for beginner traders like me? Do you often use them when helping decide what to invest in? thank you so much again in advance!
Hi there! Great question. Those topics can be a bit challenging. I find www.investopedia.com/ is a good reference for learning about these terms. It is a bit US focused so just be conscious of that. I think they're useful indicators when you want to look at how a particular company is performing relative to other companies in the same industry. I would avoid using them to compare companies across different industries (like comparing banks and miners using those ratios). Hope that helps!
hey mate question about international trading on commsec when filling out a W8 form do we say yes or no to the question "Is the income generated from this account effectively connected to a U.S. trade or business?" thanks great channel btw
Hi Drew, great question but I actually don’t know. All my international investing is through specific ETFs which didn’t need the W8 form. I’d suggesting checking out the article on CommSec’s site for more info www.commsec.com.au/w-8ben Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Hi Ryan, no I haven't - but reinvesting dividends is actually not done through CommSec. It's done through whoever the share registry is for the company you're invested with. CommSec is just a broker...so they only handle the actual buying and selling of the stocks and not the management of them. If you want to setup Dividend reinvestment you need to contact the share registry. Check out this video by Nick, a fellow RU-vidr in Melbourne, on how to setup the DRP ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8ZNjBbIgkaY.html. Hope that helps!
Hi Nicki, I'm not sure what an ideal amount to start with would be. It's important to have some kind of Emergency Fund already in place before you start investing. The minimum amount to invest in the sharemarket is usually around $500 though.
Hi bro can do video how to buy options in commsec or generally how to buy options in ASX stocks plz little bit confusion General I do it Indian stock market options but in ASX little bit confusion going on my head Thanks 🙏
Yes that's a fair point. It might be worth you checking out this video from the Plain Bagel team about the reality of investing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WAXPDDnrpW4.html and the concept of "Passive" vs "Active" investing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wTzciLaCksA.html Hope they give you some perspective :)
